The restaurant looked very promising from the outside but dont be so gullible, once we entered management told us to go to the second floor and lead us to an ally way with a narrow staircase. Extremely strange. Following that we were given our table and viewed the menu to find every item to be overpriced. We ordered several items with hopes of enjoying them but were immediately disappointed. Our beef took hours to chew through. I could chew through my fingers faster. The meat was low quality considered how high their prices were. With the money we paid I would expect to be paying for a Michelin Star Meal. Speaking of Michelin, the recommendation they have is from Michelin tire, they probably provide the meat. Im telling you that meat could be used on an 18 wheeler. Those meat wheels could take you to Alaska and back. The tire guy is just as chewy as the meat. And with the Pork Belly, the amount fat on that pork, i may as well go on the biggest loser. I swear the the meat and fat ratio was beyond ridiculous. I practically didnt even receive pork. And the serving size, dont get me started, its made for a mouse. Also we noticed that our table in the area was the only table with disposable chop sticks. Like what the hell was up with that. I felt left out. I shouldve followed my instinct and went across the street. I just dont understand what the hype was for this restaurant. And I know I wasnt the only one disappointed because I saw many others pushing their food around in distaste. Whatever you do just dont be fooled like me.

My family and I went there for them to try korean food for the first time. I as military service member who was stationed for a while in South Korea I was familiar with the food as far as what to order, how to cook etc.. not to mention it was one of my favorite food. The restaurant was ok. when it comes to cleanliness, a little cramped up but its NewYork so its understandable. The food is "average"korean BBQ. I was expecting better since its in NewYork but its really not that special and its expensive. The server we had was so rude. First I ask her if we could bbq are own food? she gave me a face like its a privileged to do that. Then while we eating she shows up and start schooling me on how to cook as she pulled out some rude comments and gestures. Finally when its time for me to pay the bills, she went to my face and said "do you know how to do math?" she (server) was trying to say I did not put enough tip because according to her its supposed to be 15 percent? I was totally shocked to the point that I almost lost my temper. In her luck I kept my calm and gave her $26 and something cents for tip and she even pulled out a calculator for me. I know what I did was stupid but it was a family vacation and I dont want to ruin it for my kids by putting a foot in here face and going to jail. So beware of that fat korean lady. Shes about 30 yrs of age 52 in height and speak fluent english unlike the rest of the servers (skinny) that I have seen there.

One of the fun things about having visitor is going to places you normally avoid like the mob at that tree at 49th St or the intersection of the world with bright neon light billboards and trying a new place from the usual. On a cold Dec night Korean BBQ seemed like a lovely idea. Nothing better than friends around a heated grill with meat cooking. The spacious interior is comfortable and wood bench seating with copper vent hoods. The service is very friendly on the night we went. Maybe it was later and mid-week so no line of crowds waiting. The host seated us even though waiting for several more people havent arrived. Our smiling, friendly waitress was patient as we organized ourselves with drinks. We decided to go with the two sets. The Love and Happiness with one spicy tofu and non-spicy jjigae. Even though it says for two we found it more than enough for 7 with the sides, seafood pancake, jjigae and japchae. I liked that the waitress served everything out with the shared dishes and even the meat first round. Gives the newbies to Korean BBQ how to eat it. Miss Korea BBQ impressed everyone with the meat quality. The service and friendly staff. There was no rushing but will have to see when I come back during more peak times how that really is. But for my first impression Miss Korea was had all the warm hospitality of the Korean culture I remember when I was in Seoul.

Im sure you can get a better bang for your buck in the area if you want Korean BBQ. However, my boyfriend and I were getting hangry and tired, and we just wanted to eat. So thats how we decided on Miss Korea BBQ. Just as an FYI, they lie about their wait times. We were told 5 minutes, and after a few minutes, they sent us to their upstairs seating next door and told us 5 minutes again. We proceeded to wait for 15 minutes. This isnt a long wait time but I would prefer not to be lied to, ya dig? Once we were seated, they came and took our orders pretty quickly. We went with the Love Set combo ($99.99), which had marinated short rib (both boneless and with bone), unmarinated boneless short rib, beef bulgogi, and your choice of a stew. Theyll throw it on the grill for you but sometimes they take too long to come back and tend to the grill, so wed take the meat for ourselves. Everything tasted really good but it was pretty expensive and the portions are small, so it wasnt really that worth it. We also ordered some japchae, and the beef tartare bibimbap (which was basically just bibimbap with a few strips of frozen beef and wasnt that good overall). I really liked the japchae. It was probably the best part of the entire meal so if I ever come back and I dont feel like spending all that money to not be full, I would probably order this.

3 floors of dining and theres still a wait outside! Understandable that they wont seat you until your whole party arrives. We had a group of 5 and their confusing system of seating people had us waiting outside for awhile even after they said we were good to go and they were just finished setting up our side of the table as we sat down at the table. The other side unfortunately was shared by a large family with a crying baby. I get it real estate in NY is tight so they want to fit as many people in here as possible in this delicious smoke filled chamber of delicious meats. We ordered 2 combos for 2 people unmarinated and it comes with a variety of side dishes and stew/rice. We chose the kimchi and it was actually quite spicy for me so I just finished all the solid food and not all the veggies/broth. I have to admit the place is is quite pricey compared to the other Korean BBQ locations weve gone to. The other chains Gyu-kaku and 678 were much more affordable, but unfortunately the waits for those were probably undesirably long and not as large. The food itself was good and comparable to the other BBQ restaurants we have been to, but unfortunately it does not justify the overpriced tag per person. I would probably want to try other several other places before emptying out my wallet here.
