My friends and I frequent this place. Get their wagon train burger, or their tombstone burger (HUGE!!!). Everything is delicious. The inside has a small eating area and there is a small deck. A very small operation, but its quality stuff. When I do eat there, I note that it is nice and clean and they have friendly staff. The owner is very pleasant, he likes to see patrons enjoying their food. When you do eat there, dont expect a giant restaurant or anything. Mainly the eating area is functional and the person working the register waits your table. Dont get upset over things they never advertise/promise (no beer, etc...). Its definitely my favorite local joint. Ill grab my stuff as take out mostly (But they do deliver!).

I was very disappointed of the place , the food was bad and cold and the service was unacceptable. I order to go and come home find out that the food was cold . So I called to complain and asked for the manager and state that manager was not here on a busy Friday night. One of the girl tried to handle it but it turn out Im the one being blame for letting the food sit too long. I was there 8:10 got the food 8:25 came home around 8:33. How could that be cold . I work at the restaurant, usually food can stay hot about 45 min to an hour. The girl on the phone just blamed it on me and never try to resolve the problem at all. I will not recommend this restaurant to any one .

Super interesting place!!! Love the outdoor and indoor decor. Its like a mini museum. The food isnt bad, but not anywhere near the best either. One lunch order I had was a huge mistake... deep fried clams on a hot dog roll was probably the most ridiculous and worst tasting idea between them and me... ever. Its basically a dry desert ... with no flavor to match the mirage. Where that came from and what was I thinking to order it? IDK. Just dont repeat my mistake. Then a steak dinner, one evening, (limited menu) was not the worst, but again, not worth repeating. Next time, maybe, just maybe, a burger and Ill be a happy cowgirl, I hope.

I went to this place reluctantly, because my experience in the past with BBQ places in the greater Capital District area has been less than desirable. Personally, I thought the "people" standing out front with their covered wagon were a bit creepy ... and then seeing stuffed dead animals inside was disturbing as well. BUT ... the place was roomy, rustic, aromatic, the staff was very pleasant, service was good ... and the food wasnt bad at all! I thought the macaroni and cheese was incredibly good ... probably the best Ive had anywhere in years and years. I would definitely go back to this place.

If you are anywhere at all near this area you must make it a point to stop here! You will not be disappointed. Ribs are meaty and delicious, the pulled pork sandwich is fantastic and far more than you can eat in one sitting. And then theres the fried vegetable dumplings with Thai chili sauce. I cant even describe how fantastic those are. I would drive out of my way just for those. No kidding....you wouldnt think a BBQ place would know squat about oriental style dumplings but trust me on this one. Any where else you ever have them will never be as good as these! STOP HERE! YOULL LOVE IT.

They catered our "safety week" party for our companies factory workers. We received BBQ chicken, pasta salad, tossed salad, and corn bread. The chicken was very moist and tasty and they did a good job estimating how much to get for the gathering. The cornbread was delicious as well. My only complaint is the chicken was plain and you had to add the bbq sauce yourself and it came in 2 Styrofoam containers. Next time ill ask for the bbq on the chicken or at least on half of the order. But over all very good delivery service and quality of food for a reasonable price!

I should really give this place 4 stars, but with one miss on the food I cant do it. So we set out to try: chicken wings, dry ribs, kc ribs, and citrus style. Along with sides of Cole slaw, beans, and Mac and cheese. AND A tombstone burger. Everything was AWESOME... DEFINITELY WORTH THE 5 STARS. The only miss was the Mac and cheese. We took home most of the burger and 4 ribs. I will definitely be back when in the area. I might even try the Mac and cheese...... Hopefully it was an off night.

I recently went here and loved the place. The burger I had was cooked to perfection, the portion sizes were great, and I loved the cornbread. The waitresses were all very nice, and though some reviews said the serive was slow, I didnt have a problem with it. I had also read some reviews that said the ribs were dry and, although I didnt order them, I saw someone else getting ribs and the looked fine. Over all, a great restaurant!

Food was good. Sat for 20 min while waitress, facing us talking to friends, ignored us. Arrived an hour before closing. By 830 half of the lights were off, TVs had been shut off and radio was out. All my wife and I could here was the two staff left mull about waiting for us to leave (just got our food). Finally my wife got to go boxes so we could eat at home. Good food worst customer service I have EVER seen.

Just not that good. Ribs were dry- over cooked and tough. Chipotle citrus sauce was tasty but a bit too sweet for this palate. My guests burger was "too smoky" but juicy. Best part: cute middle aged waitress. Worst: dry ribs. Shoe leather tough. Ambiance is a cross between quaint family BBQ with pretty good murals and gauche half-western motif. Sorry to say- I love BBQ. Maybe theyll get better!

The food is great. Everyone at work gets food from here on Friday. We havent had a bad meal or a complaint about food or service ever. The pulled pork is the beat Ive had. The cornbread is incredible, no matter how full you are from the meal, the cornbread still goes down easy. Prices are decent, a little high. But it is justified by the amount of food you get.

Hands down, The Wagon Train BBQ is by far one of the best slow-cooked rib places in town. The pulled pork and ribs are off the chart delicious & their cornbread is southern style yumminess! Plus the restaurant is very rustic and country-like! A very cozy place to eat if you are in the mood for great BBQ cookin. Highly recommended!

Enjoyed a delicious and reasonably-priced family meal here. The pulled pork sandwiches were massive and the sides we tried were all excellent (potato salad, cole slaw, mac & cheese). The homemade corn bread was a bonus! The staff were super friendly and welcoming. Will be sure to visit again next time we are in the area.

Family owned, good BBQ. Wings were great, as were the ribs, coleslaw and cornbread. Brisket wasnt as tender as we expected it to be. Servings were large, and they had a couple of craft beers on tap, as well as the standard big names. Staff was very attentive. Overall, very enjoyable, will go back.
