I recently stopped in for lunch and remembered why i stopped going here soon after it changed over from the old Vails Gate Diner. A week after eating at a very well known diner in midtown Manhattan, I went to the New Windsor Coach and got the same order (cheeseburger and fries). The price at the New Windsor Coach was almost double what I paid in midtown Manhattan. The service was great and the waitresses were friendly, but the ridiculous prices ruin it. The guy at the register is downright miserable and can be rude at times. He acts as if he could care less about the customers and seems almost annoyed that youre there. But the helpfulness and concern of the waitresses makes up for that. Regardless, I dont go here often because their prices are way too high for basic meals.

I really didnt want to give this diner any stars but I had to in order to post my comment. I had lunch there today and felt out of place ( I am a hispanic woman). The hostess was not very friendly as she walked me to the booth she threw the menu on the table and kept walking. The waitress was just as cold. I noticed the waitress was very friendly to the other customers but when she came to take my order she seems cold and annoyed. I will never visit this diner again and needless to say I did not leave a tip.

Tipico diner old style Ambiente friendly, Bianca gentilissima, cibo buono e abbondante, prezzi ragionevolissimi. Ottimi i dolci! Se siete sulla strada da fermarsi.

Agree with other reviewers food was mediocre. I love soup it was watery and bland. Will try it smoter time for breakfast because they serve grits. If you like Ikaros or Alexis Diners ypu will be disappointed. Service was attentive since there were approx 8 other customers on a Monday night around 7P.

Great portions, great taste, great service. Had a small hiccup in my order, which was probably more because of my miscommunication, and they gave me free order of wings. Kept waters full, would recommend to anyone.

A diner with a BIG BRIGHT SIGN that says "Open 24 hours" Anyone wanna guess when they close? EARLY! Not a diner, just a half-assed restaurant that will NEVER be as "good" as it used to be!

The food here is ok, I mostly get salad here and its hard to mess that up. But the prices are insanely high! This used to be better a long time ago, it went downhill over the years.
