I went in for my boyfriends birthday so we can get something to eat. I got a piece of cake and ice cream and he got pancakes. I took one bite of the cake and hated it. He also took a bite of his pancake and hated it. So when the waitress walked by I proceeded to say Im very sorry and can she take the cake back because I did not want to pay for something I didnt like nor wanted to eat. She then said "no". I was shocked and said "excuse me?" Because that is not good service. She said "theres nothing wrong with it". I said "I dont like it...". She said "no you already took a bite of it and theres nothing wrong with it". So i was like "are you kidding me?!" And she proceeded to argue with me and refused to take the cake back. I told her I wanted the check and still had to pay for it. This place has terrible food and the service is repulsive. I would never recommend this place to anyone. The food sucked, the service is the worst Ive received and there silverwear was dirty. Dont eat here.

We were seated immediately, but had to wait 30 minutes for our meal. The waitress forgot our coffee twice, and we didnt get it until we almost finished our meal. And she didnt have a smile or ask us about our meal. I had the 2X4 -- two eggs, two pancakes, pork roll, home fries. You cant really mess up eggs. But the pancakes were quite doughy, feeling like I was eating peanut butter. The pork roll was good. My mom had 2 eggs with potatoes and bacon. She requested crispy bacon and potatoes. The bacon was dark, but felt soggy. Her potatoes werent crispy -- in fact, both of our home fries sides were bland and seemed more like mashed potatoes. Were pretty disappointed, since our friends have recommended this place. We didnt take the leftovers home (almost 2 pancakes, 4 strips of bacon, and both sides of home fries). We wont be coming back.

I came here to grab dinner for my family one night when my infant was sick with a serious infection. I grabbed mashed potatoes and apple sauce to go. I brought the food home and found a fly in it. When I brought the food back the manager proceeded to argue with me about the fly, which by the way was huge, and he proceeded to even insinuate it was my fault the fly was in there. I had nothing to gain from bringing back disgusting, repulsive potatoes, but I would have appreciated courtesy and an offer of new potatoes, which I would likely have declined because this place is gross. Needless to say I told the manager to his face that he was a horrible manager and the establishment was a joke. I have not been back and none of my family or friends have been either. $2 Potatoes for $$$ thousands lost in business. Stay Away from this dump!

I went with my husband and daughter after 10 pm to grab a bite to eat after a long days work. My husband ordered spaghetti and meatballs. He made a comment that meat tasted like cinnamon. Then one of the meatballs was cut in half on one side there was a huge dead fly. It was sooo.disgusting.never again will we step into this place.Ironically the manager saw it did not charge for that dish of course!!! But we paid for rest. Someone else would not have handled it as easy as we did. This place is going to make someone extremely sick because obviously they have sanitary issues.YUK!!!

Hostess greeted us with a big smile and was ready to seat us when we can through the door. Our waitress was a cute older woman, super friendly and served us our food within minutes from ordering. Denver Omelette with American cheese and side of crispy bacon for me. And for my partner, a gigantic Greek salad with enough chicken to feed the family in booth next to us. All in all, quintessential jersey diner experience.

The host is incredibly rude. We stopped going to the diner for a while because of him...but actually like the food so have gone back. I asked to sit at a table that was being cleared instead of the back room. He shook his head and made a nasty comment as though I had made an absurd request. We have seen people walk out when he is rude. Cant imagine why the owner puts up with him!

Had a terrible experience today. Would not seat us until third person was in building (she was parking car) Manager did not articulate and mumbled. After being seated people were continually to be seated without their whole party present.. tried to convey this to the manager. They make their rules as they go along. Food greasy! Overpriced!

The omelet lists light and fluffy Not even close and the home fries had peppers and onions. Boyfriend got his sandwich a Monte Cristo and they put turkey on it. Its supposed to be a closed sandwich not open face. The busboy took the dishes and slammed them into the bucket. Too late for that much noise First and last time

Hands down the best diner in monmouth county. The staff is always friendly and attentive. The drinks and meals come out fairly quickly. Ive been coming here for over a decade, still love it and highly recommend It! My favorite item on the menu is the Monte cristo...so good at any your not just breakfast time.

To be honest I was very disappointed by the food I had here. I wanted to try out the place and order a Turkey Burger, which came out as a tiny, think, dry and I suspect also at some point frozen. The rest was good and the service was incredibly friendly. Shame that the burger was such a bad experience.

Went here because it clearly says its open 24 hours a day and I am a night owl. Food was not good and then was told they were about to close.... waitress said they have never been 24/7 even though it says online... will never go back.

The hosts and hostesses are cordial and friendly. I love the salmon burger. The overall atmosphere is relaxing and has a down home kind of culture. Ive been frequenting the Americana Diner in Shrewsbury for about 15 years.

Excellent diner off Hwy 35. Huge selection of breakfast, sandwiches, and dinner cuisine. I ordered the Portuguese Paella and it was absurd with the qty of food. The food was great and affordable. Recommend stopping here.

Restarant was DIRTY!! Hostess and waitress had absolutely NO PERSONALITY! Food was served COLD! Stay away from this place! Go down to the All Seasons in Eatontown. 100% better food, service and its clean!!!!!!!!

Everything on the menu is fantastic. Pork & Lamb chops, Lamb shank greek style and OMGsh the deserts are true pastries. Diner coffee is good and love the breakfast too. Cant go wrong with the endless menu.

This place is great for a big American style breakfast. Service is very good, food is great, and its fairly reasonable price wise. Sometimes there can be a wait depending on when you go. Top notch!

Only stopped in for breakfast a couple of times. What brought me back was the freshed squeezed OJ. My experience was great. Place is well run, very clean, with quick service and nice people.
