Weve never had a bad meal here until 4/17/17 and we frequent this dinner probably once a month. First we sat and waited prob 15 minutes for our server to take our drink order..then, we got our iced teas and waited almost 20 min to give our food order...with no apology. All we ordered was burgers...how hard is that? Waited, waited....burgers came out. My husbands looked like a masterpiece, mine? not so much. Burger, cooked medium, was all dried out like it had been sitting there until his was ready. My bun was hard on one side..I started to eat it because it had gotten so late we had to leave. I was looking for our waitress to show her my meal..she was nowhere to be found. Finally I flagged her down. She asked if I wanted another one cooked!! Seriously, weve waited forever already. We went to leave and pay our check. Explained to a young man at register( never saw him before). All he said was did our waitress offer another meal...we explained. No apology. Nothing taken off check... This young man went to give my husband his change...he reached into drawer and tossed about $12 at us...he must have thought about our complaint. We said that wasnt what it was about, a free meal. Said weve never had this experience here before. But, my waffle fries were great and hot!!

My boyfriend and I usually come to this place whenever were too lazy to cook. This place has pretty good service, food portions are great. However, today we decided to go out for ice cream and went to the diner. Two chocolate sundaes and mine was supposed to have a cherry on top not my boyfriends. When we received our food both of the sundaes had a cherry, but my boyfriend didnt mind he just gave me his cherry. After that we did not see our waiter at all for the rest of our visit. It wasnt busy at all, as a matter of fact we only saw her serve one more table during our stay. We were waiting for around twenty minutes until we decided to get up and just pay for our food without the bill... horrible mistake. The man charged us 15$ for sundaes that were clearly 4$ on the menu. Also, we saw our waitress leave the restaurant without giving us the bill!! Now my boyfriend didnt mind and didnt say anything. However, I found it rude how she never came back to ask how we were doing or to give us the bill and decided to go home. Their food is pretty good, service is fine. I just refuse to be served by that lady ever again. Horrible job, horrible manners, just horrible.

I never write reviews but just had to. 3 days ago I took my two adult daughters, my wife and 3 children ages 8 months, 4 and 9 to eat to celebrate my daughters birthday. We all got different plates of food and different drinks. Only a little bit after we left all of us started feeling very ill. We all were so nauseas. We all had to rush to the rest rooms right away. The sickness bothers me a lot but when you see your children and grand children sick it bothers a man on a whole different level. My 9 month old is now running a fever and my wife went to the hospital and was told we got food poisoning. Im outraged right now and will never return. I dont know what they do in that kitchen but it effects all of their food. I called the owner to complain to him and tell him what we all have been through in the past 3 days and he said these words to me, "Youre talking, but I dont hear you" I swear to God I couldnt believe my ears and I asked, "you didnt hear me?" and he said it again, "Youre talking, but I dont hear you!!" , Dont go, dont trust them and dont expect them to care about you at all. Never again!!

The service I received at the counter was comically bad. After I placed an order the waitress asked me if I wanted a menu. In the 30 seconds since I placed the order she had forgotten what I ordered. Mind you the place was nearly empty. She then brought me a large coke when I ordered coffee. Her partner in crime was an insubordinate waiter who spent his time leaning up to the counter and telling the manager he was not responsible for certain tables. They argued loudly and openly -- dysfunctional management at its worst. .... After waiting 20 minutes the strung out waitress asked the new shift if anyone had taken my order.... Truly comical. I got up and left. Never again. Overall this place merits demolition followed by sowing the earth underneath it with salt so nothing grows there for the next 1000 years. This may be a bit dramatic but not by much.

FOOD OK SERVICE AWEFUL MANAGEMENT AWEFUL. ...Sat down at in the early afternoon, seemed to be forgotten sat for a long time. Server came by to take order seemed rushed. We asked that this be separated checks. So she took our orders but got many orders mixed and confused. for example she got our vegetarian a beef burger when she asked for veggie burger twice. We had asked for a side of BBQ sauce, asked for mayo/onion for the burgers, asked for extra pickles. Got none of them. After all this she got them as sides instead but charged us for a side of pickles which is 4 bucks I wasnt going to spend. On a positive note the bathrooms are clean so if you need a bathroom thats nice.. tl:dr server was not paying attention when we ordered and was then rude. Managers also gave us attitude at register we tried to get our check split. Dont eat there. Bad times

My family and I come to this diner all the time. Well no more. They have progressively been getting worse. I will say the food quality is usually good as far as taste and freshness, that is not the problem. The problem is they nickel and dime people for every little thing. $3 upcharge for a salad instead of fries?!?! Outrageous. They know they can get away with it because they are the most popular diner in the Newburgha area. This evening we ordered to go and it was not a difficult order. They never gave us our sauce and my wrap was ripped and falling apart, I couldnt even eat it. Our mozzarella sticks were not cooked thoroughly. I was very disappointed. From now on Ill take my business over to Ikaros which is located roughly 7 minutes from there and the service is better and they care about their customers.

Got take-out the other day... on my way home from work, for only the 2nd time. When I got home, our order was NOT what we ordered. It was something we would eat, and it would have been an inconvenience to travel back to fix it. I called just to let them know. They apologized, and took down my information telling me they would make it right next time. We LOVED the stuffed shells we got by mistake!!! So I went back today to get what we originally ordered AND another order of stuffed shells....they gave me the meals we should have got the other night...AND the stuffed shells AND a cannoli, AND fresh bread AND cookies....They were grateful to me for being polite and respectful with their mistake, and truly overcompensated for that. I cant wait to go back...the food is excellent!!!!
