My husband and I went and ordered 10 tacos: 5 hard shell with supreme (upcharge) and 5 soft shell. We waited 20 minutes for them. AND they got our order wrong. Only gave us 2 hard shell tacos and then 10 soft shell. So...thats a total of 12. Nice that we got two extra. Not to mention we paid extra for the toppings on the hard shell that we didnt even get. And when I called back to ask for them to make the right ones, he said they were closing in 10 minutes and all of the stuff was put away. He said he was confused about what the order was. In which case, he should ask the girl who took the order. POOR customer service. Also, the prices on their website are inaccurate, they have raised prices on everything. Lastly, the bathroom looks like it has NEVER been cleaned. So gross. I give them 1 star because the tacos I did have were delicious. Feeling disappointed.

I walked in the front door, heater broken. Walked through the empty dining room straight to the counter to order a shredded beef burrito from the gorgeous blonde hair blue eyed cashier. I was happy to see him, but he was not happy to see me. It took him atleast 35 minutes to make my burrito, even though there were no other customers in the establishment. I could hear the sounds of microwaves dinging and my stomach began to rumble. Thirty seconds later my burrito came out, and the sexy dream boat that was my cashier delivered my burrito and said "Have a good day." I didnt get a number, but it was love at first site. Five out of five stars.

Love this place. My wife and I stumbled upon the Shack when we pulled off 87 to find some fast food during a drive from VT to NJ. The burritos are enormous, prices are decent, and most importantly they taste awesome. I got a shredded beef burrito and it had to have been at least half meat. We frequently drive back and forth between NJ and VT to visit family, now we make sure to stop here every time. The beer shop next door has an awesome selection, so you can pick up some bottles while you wait for your food.

Hate hate hate the service. And normally I deal with bad service for good food but their service is so bad, they wont even let me eat the food. Have shown up at 1130 in the morning and they werent even done prepping even though they say the open at 11. Have tried to call in a pickup order at 940 and was told they stop taking orders at 930 even though they say they are open till 10. Like come on dudes, trying to eat your food, stop being so damn lazy.

Didnt even try the food cause the girl in there seemed so irritated that we wanted to look at a menu first???? We were also not greeted when we came into the place and no one was there. The prices on here are wrong so dont go by it, theyre easily double these listed. Also it seemed sort of dirty behind the counter. Overall not impressed wouldnt even go again to try the food, just not worth the tude or weird looks.

After checking out the store front I figured Id give the taco shack a try because sometimes the dives have the best food. As I was eating my burrito I realized, "this is actually the best burrito I have ever had. No burrito is better..." It was a magical experience. I got the shredded beef it was spectacular. Grab a six pack from the next door beer distributor and munch on the best burrito you will ever have.

used to eat here a lot til their portions kept getting smaller, and their ingredients became less and less fresh. the workers there are very nice and friendly, but a bit incompetent.. just check your bag to make sure you get what you asked for, because if the owner is there, he will DENY that he ignored any requests that you made.

They close at 9pm. They stop taking any orders a 8:44. So what time do they really close. I plan to call the owner. At this point even if I complain and talk them into it I wouldnt trust them preparing my food. When I was younger we took orders up to closing time within reason and cleaned up after closing time.

Wether you order 1 taco or 100 tacos, it always seems to be a half hour to get anything. If it werent for the fact that its good Id stop coming all together. Order ahead of time. Check out a movie at the local cinema, then drop in to wait another ten minutes before its done.

Food can be good most of the time but customer service stinks big time....and I think their proud of that...thought it was one time only but last few times its been the same...too bad because I liked going there but now never again. My cash and I say deuces!

Eaten here a number of times and the food is usually quite delicious. It is a quaint atmosphere and the name reads taco SHACK and that is precisely what it is. Not much seating on the inside but all the tacos are really good, particularly the fish tacos.

The burrito is big, alright, and I thought it was tasty. But as others have said, the wait is very long for something I could put together myself in a few minutes. The storefront is definitely a dive, but I didnt find it unclean. Staff was fine.

Ive been here a bunch of times. I love this place. The food is good. The staff is friendly. I usually get a burrito. Think moes but bigger and from a mom and pop place plus you dont have to approve every ingredient.

Awesome Mexican food right in New Paltz. It is so much better than Taco Bell. They take cash and credit cards. You can call ahead of time to order your food. Just a great place to eat if youre craving Mexican food.

food is decent, but the customer service is horrible. The workers seem to not care at all about answering phones and say 30mins on delivery and showed up an hour later. this makes me not wanna go back.

Home of the Giant Burrito. Theyre not kidding. The Bag o Tacos is pretty great, too. Order well in advance. Give them longer than they say. Worth the wait.
