Perhaps an airport was not the best place to experience this place, but hey, it was certainly convenient. As a diehard LA In N Out devotee, this whole In N Out vs. Shake Shack debate loomed large in my brain and I had to try it. Final verdict: In N Out wins, but SS has its merits. The shackburger is similar to in n out in bun feel and freshly grilled patty. It definitely tastes different but is not "worse." Shake shacks crinkle cut fries are meh--I prefer in n out s fresh potato fries. BUT I was able to get a pint of Brooklyn Oktoberfest with my meal, so a win for SS there, but ultimately SSs exorbitant prices leave it in in n outs dust. A single cheeseburger, fries and a beer was $17. It was the airport, but still! They only have stand-up counters at this location but if you walk just a little farther down the concourse theres a general seating area where you can take your grub.

Had an hour layover at the JFK Airport before heading home to Seattle. I couldnt find a Mcdonalds so I thought id try out Shake Shack. The line was pretty busy with 15 people waiting for their food in front of me and another 7 people waiting to order. I ordered the ShakeShack burger (single) and a bottle of smoothie [I felt like I had to try to balance out the fast food with something kind of "healthy" :)]. It took about 25 minutes to receive my burger and after I got it, I had to rush to the shuttle to go to my terminal. The burger was very greasy and the bread was really soggy - it had nothing exciting about the taste. The fries were fine, since its fried potatoes and its hard to screw that up. Overall, this place is okay.... If you plan to stop here, make sure you have enough time to get to your next destination.

A male worker very bad that he take my wifes strawberry shakes order at July 7 about 8:30-9:30 pm . He didnt ask her name and didnt give her receipt. And most important was he totally ignore or forget this order . After take a long waiting, we ask for this order, and you know that become a disaster. There are no one admit taking this order, after we point out we take the order, then he say maybe he did it. Then unwilling give the shakes to us. Duling this period of time whole shop looks like a play ground. And French fries all over the floor and no body cleannjng. I feel this shop that have big problems to the foreign customers.

Burger was fresh and tasty. Crinkle fries were also very good. Ok, so was the chocolate shake. Not one of my more healthy meals, but super yummy. I actually received the wrong burger (a single instead of a double). I took my receipt back to the counter, but the clerk remembered she had rung it up as a double and had me the correct burger in under 30 seconds. She also came out later and apologized again and make sure everything was good. The service more than made up for the small error. I will visit again if ever I come through JFK (which I hope not too as the airport as a whole is terrible compared to ATL, DFW, LHR, CLT, and others of similar size)

Shake Shack in the airport? And theyre open for breakfast[1]? AND they serve their lunch menu all day? Yes. Who wants a Shake Burger in the morning? This guy. If you like Shake Shack and youre stuck at JFK, quit reading and get to ordering[2]. Service is super friendly, and if you have time to spare, sit at a table - theyre converted bowling alley lanes. [1] They even start serving earlier than Panda Express. [2] Last I was here, I wasnt awake enough to tell if prices were on par with their NYC locations, or if an airport surcharge was levied on my bill. Paid with a credit card, so I guess I could check my statement...

YAAAAASSSS! Now this burger spot needs to be in EVERY major airport in the United States. You get what you pay for w/meaty, flavorful buns topped with an abundance of your favorite toppings…with the double bacon cheeseburger and Shroom burger being my favorites! The fries are fresh cut and yummy with ketchup, topped with cheese, or with nothing at all! A wonderful alternative to the overpriced, underwhelming fare typically offered at airports. Next time youre in JFK stop by this spot. You wont regret it!

I love being able to fly out of this terminal so I can get Shake Shack. This is definitely one of the shorter lines for Shake Shack. Got the Smoke Shack and was cooked perfectly. That bacon and cherry peppers really make this burger awesome. The fries they have here are the crinkle cut nostalgic ones and are perfectly salted. I find that the wait time for your food is quite minimal which is perfect if you dont have a ton of time before your flight.

Was so grossed out to see the grill cooks lack of food hygiene. With gloves on, he had both hands behind his back, against the wall to support his leaning. He adjusted his head visor, then cleared the spatula by slidding his fingers down the blade...all with the same gloves on....gross! I got out of line and ate elsewhere. Please monitor, re-train, etc. staffs food safety knowledge and skills. Sometimes, food poisoning kills. LC

Like all the other Shake Shacks, except considerably more expensive. So, looses a star. Its gotta be better than whatever youll be served on the flight, unless youre fancy and are flying business or first. In which case youre probably going to be spending your time at the airport being massaged by a hot hostess in the exec lounge and not at Shack Shack ordering a double with bacon. So a moot point.

This is an amazing location for that last taste of NY before you hop onto your Delta or Virgin America flight. They have a full menu including their gourmet burgers, fries, shakes, and even beer on tap. Hours are 6am-10pm so you can indulge by having a Shack Stack for breakfast. The restaurant is located near the end of the terminal just past Gate 34. At least for breakfast, lines were nonexistent.

Tipico Americano....niente a che vedere con Mc Donald... hamburger ricchi, gusti Yankee e clientela davvero USA al 100%....forse non il mio mangiare preferito ma ottimo per uno spuntino

The shake shack at gate b22 well The staff is pretty dumb and thats me being nice. They mess up your order every single time without missing a beat. They talk over you while youre ordering and chat with other airport employees while taking your order at the same time thus causing longer waits and incorrect orders. I only stop here because the one at gate 37 closes earlier.
