While the portioning is a bit small at the moment and the seasoning is not precise, I am going to cut this location a break for a month before I start complaining - having been employed at a chipotle that was just opening a few years ago, I recognize the portioning as being VERY exact - technically, thats the sort of portioning theyre taught to serve - the thing is that the longer you work there, the more you realise its not a hard and fast rule and that really being a bit more generous with portion sizes is good. Wrapping the burritos is more difficult than youd think, as is the proper amount of seasoning and so forth on a variety of foods - even the chips have a medium that you can really only find with practice. As the location has been open only three days, its probably less poor management and more a whole big group of new employees who only have a couple days of real experience outside of the training program. Also, if you ask for a bit more, theyre more than happy to oblige, which is the important part. And damn, the food is good. Glad to have one in the area!

This review is geared more toward the staff. Basically, Cesar, the "apprentice" which Im hoping means future manager, is undoubtedly the "poster child" for hospitality and a great example of how customer service and a restaurant should be ran. Ive had two rather large catering orders with Chipotle, and theyve both been extremely exceptional! His attention to detail, and care throughout the process is incredible! The wonderful woman (Gimerky?) that handles/handled the register and the gentleman that is their catering contact both deserve praise. Kudos to you both! You two helped carry the boxes to my vehicle and the acknowledgement given with warm smiles and sincere appreciation for my business, has not gone unnoticed. I will continue to work with Chipotle in the event another catering request like this, is requested. The food is clearly labeled, plentiful, and great care is given in the presentation. Caesar and the other two, my hat is off to you! You just dont find this level of commitment to ones satisfaction, anymore. Thank you! THANK you! THANK YOU!!!

The GM running this location has a loooong way to go. As a longtime loyal Chipotle customer I was very disappointed when I stopped in today. Extremely small portion size and terrible burrito wrapping skills. I mean seriously?? I would understand if the toppings were falling out and I got a bad wrap, but that wasnt the case. Also, the meat was not seasoned enough. Have had similar experience at the location in Syracuse. Seems like the territory manager just doesnt get it. If Chipotle is looking to get a strong foothold in the Central/West NY Region, they will only be successful with large portion size and taste. Hope things improve!

I walked into the store for the first time ever anxious to see what was so successfully competing against McDonalds. I walked in and the place was absolutely filthy. Aside from chairs there was not a single clean horizontal surface free of dirt grease food or papers in the entire dining area. Appalled at the dirtiest store Ive ever entered in Tompkins County i approached the front counter where everyone pushes down to order, and even the food counter was absolutely filthy from end to end. I walked up to the counter and told them the place was in dire need of a scrubbing and left. Disgusting.

Great food. As good as any Chipotle Ive been to. The first week was a little rocky, but thats mostly because the line was out the door for a week straight. However, they kept the line moving quickly and were rarely low on anything. Since then, the food and service has been fantastic. If you want a little more rice or sour cream than they give you, just ask and you get it. Everything always tastes so fresh and warm. I love that they get as much local and organic as they can. Couldnt be happier that a Chipotle finally opened in Ithaca.

As with any Chipotle establishment that can replicate the basic standard of chipotle quality and taste, this already necessitates an excellent food rating. Its first week of opening they were still learning the ropes, very slow service, bad portion sizing, but have resolved that problem and tastes pretty much like any standard Chipotle. no serious faults (ie bad at burrito folding ,overstuffing etc).

I LOVED chipotle in all Florida locations Ive visited. this one is terrible. the portion sizes are very small and today the sour cream was like water. when I asked for the regular sour cream I was told "this is all we have" and "this is how its always been" NOT SO. I have been there multiple times since they opened and it just keeps getting worse. super disappointing.

I enjoy this store. Busy and all due to college students, but I am in and out in minutes thanks to my app. I think the staff is a happy bunch and they have supportive managers who help out on the line. What leadership! I like Chipotle because i can count on consistency and gloves are changed immediately upon request. Thank you ITHACA CHIPOTLE!

I can eat here everyday- Im obsessed with the chicken rice bowl with guacamole. This place is extremely popular with everyone- college crowd, young professionals, families. Ive waited 45 minutes in line before and it was well worth it. Its more expensive than the competition right down the road, but the quality is worth it.

Wow, lots of unnecessary negative reviews here! I thought the price and portions were fair and the food was fantastic (chicken bowl with all toppings)! There was a lineup when I got there but I certainly didnt wait 30-45 min like some of the complaints sugested. I waited 5 min (at the most). Great place; give it a chance.

This is not a review on Chipotle hipotle food because that is consistent from location to location. I am a Chipotle regular and have been to dozens. This one has the worst service. Often it is out of items. They have no idea how to do off menu items correctly. The place is always trashed.

Its Chipotle, tastes just like it. The only bad thing I have to say about this location is that the fajita veggies have disappointed me every time Ive ordered them (I eat here about once a month for the past year or so) - they have an odd taste for fajita veggies.

A good chipotle, workers are happy nad work quickly Nothing special, but a good place to go if you are hungry and are craving a huge burrito! I recommend getting a bowl with two tortilla, so you can make two burritos for the price of one.

Worst Chipotle ever, and Ive been to dozens. Staff is terrible - slow, inefficient, sometimes rude, often out of stuff or not prepared, and they make very inconsistent burritos - sometimes VERY small; other times okay.

This chipotle always seems to be busy. Not sure they have a big enough counter or enough staff. Sofritas burrito is a delicious vegetarian treat though. They have beer but like the chips and guac, it costs extra.

I love chipotle. Quality food. Took my mom here for her first time recently, the employees were so nice to her and ended up giving her her meal for free - just because she was all excited. Love this place
