They market a great service: any kind of food I want, delivered to me promptly. It worked for a while. But they simply dont honor the basic idea they market. Now Id rather go hungry than try this site again, though I have been a loyal customer for 5 years. Just cancelled my account. Unlike a few years ago, they simply cannot get things to me on time. Its almost routine for them to call me and say "Sorry, were running behind..." by an hour or even two hours. The food gets cold and gross by the time it reaches me. What this tells me is that they are trying to grow their business without investing in sufficient staff. They expect their customers to pay the price for their stinginess in not hiring enough drivers. Or their business is doing poorly and they are cutting their staff to compensate, and again expecting customers to pick up the slack. If I complain, I get someone on the phone who, like the person responding below, explains that "Well, we TRY to get it to you and if we cant we call you." As if calling me to warn me somehow makes up for the fact that the food is late and I am hungry. And the food delivered is disgusting. I continue to pay them the same amount, and they continue to give me worse and worse service. All I hear are excuses. And I am still expected to tip the driver no matter bad the service. I love how the owner keeps writing long responses to complaints basically saying how wrong the customer is and trying to justify bad service. Thats exactly the attitude thats going to run him out of business. No one cares, dude. No one is going to read them. They only care that you do or do not deliver their food. You will probably call me a "difficult customer" and chalk it up to my bad attitude. Its not your drivers fault. Its yours. Justify yourself all you want, but thats whats going to make you fail.

I love the online order option. Best Mexican food Ive had in ages! Ordered again this past week and had another great experience!! [Friday 3/13/15] I ordered food for guests and myself from El Rodeo in Lancaster. I have always had a pleasant experience with deliveries from El Rodeo. Last night, my guests arrived later than planned. By the time they had looked over the menu and made their choices, time had gotten away from me. I called immediately, but it was well after 8PM. The female employee on the phone was so kind!! She took my order, got it exactly correct; and our food arrived. The delivery man was also very good. He brought the food in, unloaded it, asked if everything was as we had ordered, accepted his tip graciously .... what a nice guy! Everyone who has ever delivered my Carryout Courier has been pleasant and helpful. I was just impressed last night because I had placed a fairly big order relatively late in the shift. I could have been told Id called too late. The person who delivered could have "acted" in a hurry to get it over with. Instead, both people were kind and professional!! Thank you so much for another pleasant experience!

Weve been ordering from this company for months since moving back to Lancaster. The service has been great and I always make sure to leave the driver at least a 10% tip, but we went to order tonight and lo and behold they now force a minimum 15% tip on all orders. Theres no reason for that. I can absolutely understand forcing a tip on a large order, say over $100 or something to make sure your driver isnt shafted. But theres no excuse for this. The only reason I can see to force 15% gratuity across the board is if your drivers are unhappy with their wages. And if thats the case, maybe you should rethink your business model and pay them better. Instead, you charge a $5 delivery fee AND force people to tip your drivers 15% of their order amount on top of that. We wont be ordering from you again until you do away with mandatory tip amounts. Not because I dont think your drivers deserve a decent tip, I always saw to it that they got one. Its because thats a shady business practice to force your customers to pay your drivers wages for you because youre too cheap to do it yourself.

Weve been ordering from Carryout Courier for over 3 years, on days when we come home from work and are too tired to cook. Im pretty sure weve ordered at least 100 times, so weve come to really appreciate and depend on this service. The restaurant selections are varied in food and price range, which is great for how frequently we order. The menus are on their website and they also give you a current publication of the menus/restaurants; plus a reward card for frequent orders. The delivery service is prompt and reliable--and if theyre extremely busy, theyll tell you what to expect for a wait time. The food arrives hot and its always exactly what we ordered. All the deliverers that have brought our meal have been professional and friendly. Were glad theres a place where you can order something besides pizza. Thank you, Carryout Courier, weve become dedicated customers thanks to your great service!

We order from Carryout Courier sometimes as much as a few times a week, depending on how busy life gets. The food is always prompt, as ordered, and generally pretty fast too. A great alternative to the age old question of "Do I cook, go out, or order chinese/a pizza?" The loyalty program isnt bad either. Regarding the negative reviews: I cant say Ive really ever had a problem with this company. Theyve had a few busy Friday nights where the food took longer than expected, but these have been rare, and even then were talking less than 20 minutes of delay. On one other occasion they were nice enough to call to let me know the wait was 2.5 hours to give me the option to cancel my order. They work hard to do business like professionals.

Tried to surprise my wife with a food order while she is out of town. Put all my credit card info online (included expiration date and 3-digit security code), but when the food got to my wife, she had to pull out cash because, surprise!, my card was with me 600 miles away, and the delivery person wanted to make an imprint of the card. Why get all of that card info online if it isnt necessary? Amazon uses the same info and sends me tons of products all the time and I have never had to show the card to the UPS or FedEx driver. The real problem is that this was not made aware to me online. If it had been, I definitely would not have gone through with the order. Good concept....poor execution.

Ive had great experiences with this service. Yes, it sometimes takes an hour or so to get my meal, which honestly I dont mind. I expect it, and so I order accordingly. Everyone who has ever delivered to me has been fantastic and friendly and prompt, except when weather was bad and that was absolutely understandable. Ive ordered at least half a dozen times and will continue to do so, as it makes my life so much easier. Unfortunately, I and my DH are down to one vehicle and when he is working, I cant reasonably go far for food, and this provides a fantastic alternative to pizza! Thank you for offering this service, truly!
