**Review for a pick up order** Lapin and I passed by and I decided to stop in and order some take out. They had a special dinner to go for $16.95. It included samosa & pakora, a main course, rice with dal and naan, three condiments and dessert. There was only one waiter and he looked stressed. The phone kept ringing with orders, seamless orders kept printing out more orders and he had roughly 6 tables. I got the special dinner option. He didnt allow for much customization but instead of the chicken curry I got the Chicken Tikka. We had to wait almost 30 minutes for my food to come. The deal included a lot of food but the flavor and quality was a bit lacking. The samosa and pakora were average tasting. The chicken tikka came with almost no sauce. It was super dry almost like it was left over and reheated. The rice and naan was okay. The dal was watery had barely had any taste. It went down the drain. The condiments -- meh. It was tasty but too watery. The dessert --- what a joke! The container firni came in is the same container Chiptole gives for salsa or to put hot sauce in (Hale and Hearty also gives the same container for hot sauce as well). After two spoonfuls it would be gone. I never had firni before but it was very watery and had one or two "strings" of coconut (I am praying its not the pre-package ones you bake with). It was average tasting but I didnt finish it. I feel a bit disappointed to give such a low rating since it nice to have an Indian place so close by but I wish they would improve on the quality!

I went here at least 3 times already because they have a livingsocial deal where you pay $15 and get $30 worth of food plus 2 glasses of wine. My favorite Indian dish is chicken tikka masala and theirs is fantastic. We ordered a salad, 2 samosas, chicken tikka masala, an order of naan, and some ice cream. This all still came up to under $30. They also give these bean cracker things to start and all the food was amazing. Ambiance is great and the service was great. Me and my gf shared everything and we needed more rice than they gave us and they gave us another full order with no problem at no extra cost. Overall, a must-go. You wont regret it.

I kept hearing about this place, so i finally stopped in and picked up a chicken curry to go and a soup and a stuffed bread for my mom. It was great, the man who took my order was a little stern, but in the end i was a very happy customer. about a week later, i went in and sat with a couple friends. Well i had a small dish, with about three shrimp and a piece a bread. (Shrimp Poori) Before the meal was over, i had severe nausea. I then had food poisening for two days. I am just getting back to work. It was the only place i ate that day, except for some toast a bit earlier. I dont think i will be going back. You judge for yourself!

One of the worst Indian restaurants Ive tried. Below are my reasons - We went in with a groupon and suddenly the quality dropped down - Groupon came in with a glass of wine. The only wine they had was house wine. The wine was mostly water. - The green and red sauce were so watered down. Not sure if they are trying to save money by adding water to everything presented. - The food quality was also very bad. Im Indian and this is as bad an Indian food can get. Stay Away!!

This restaurant has the worst customer service and has no common knowledge on directions. We had specified our exact address with the cross streets and they went to the wrong place. When they found out where we are, they refused to deliver our food or even GIVE US OUR REFUND! Not only that, one gentlemen even racially profiled us and implied that people of this ethnicity always complain. They were extremely unprofessional.. I would not recommend this restaurent to anyone.

The worst experience ever .... These guys lack the minimum sense in customer handling. The rudest and the most obnoxious staff. Take forever to deliver and the food is pretty bad too.. Not worth going through all the pain and experience of talking to them and waiting for the food. Go eat there only if you lack interest in food, self esteem and be treated like dogs ...

Ordered the Lamb Korma and the Chicken Masala. The Korma sauce was very tasteful and rich, and the lamb was very tender and well cooked. Chicken was also very good, especially the sauce with the Nan bread. Both dishes came with rice and an assortment of sauces. Not the best Indian food Ive ever had, but for the price, the quality is very good.

Service was excellent however quality was lacking. Samosa chaat was lettuce and sour cream over mashed samosa which was far from authentic and not impressive. Cheese nan tasted like cheap grocery store cheese singles (grill cheese nan) and tikka masala tasted like watered down penne sauce. Would not recommend or go back again.

The taste was horrible! I ordered chicken biryani and it didnt even look like chicken biryani, it tasted sweet and it was horrendous, I could barely eat it. Me and my friend ordered beef curry and chicken biryani and we barely ate 1/3 of it. I dont undestand how this place is even running.

The service is kind and the atmosphere bordering tacky what with multi-colored garland, dusty carpeting and a mounted TV. Nonetheless the saag paneer shines as do the pakoras and samosas. Beware of the very salty lentil tomato soup though.

Just nope. The waiter tried to shame me in front of other diners in order to give him a larger tip. I received poor service and gave a commensurate tip. Food was nothing to talk about. Hence, I wont.

Agree with the others on customer service. They are abrupt to be sure. However, the food was very good, and I ordered take out, picked it up on my own, and walked back my the hotel to eat and work.

Decent service, nothing really special about the food. A bit watered down for Indian cuisine. Probably wont visit again.

A warm, cozy place to eat on a cold night. Dimly lit. Nice music. Lamb Dhansak was very, very good! Surprisingly good.

The food was actually better than most of the places in Curry Hill.
