So tonights meal @ Curry Heights started out with me not receiving any water even as the delicious Vege samosa was served. As I watched the two gentlemen next to me be served water, I was like maybe this is just an oversight. When my Chicken Vindaloo, Navaratan Korma, and Garlic Naan (which were fantastic!!) arrived, I asked for water. I was given water (refilled throughout meal), but no apology was offerred. So Im thinking to myseld, "Dont trip, maybe its just cultural." I continue to enjoy my meal and after I am done, the waiter asks me to pay in cash because the machine was down for a half hour. They said I could even pay less. I said hmmm ok and complete my transaction in cash. However, I observe the same two gentlemen, who happened to be white, have their cards taken without question. After their transaction, I ask the two gentlemen if the servers had requested that they pay in cash and they tell me no. So I wait until the two gentlemen leave and summon the waiter over and ask if there is a reason why the two gentlemen were allowed to pay with card while I was told the machine was down for a half hour. The waiter told me that Im making a big deal out of nothing and that they would have take my card. So I stated but you said the machine had been down. Thats when he proceeded to wag his finger in my face and speak to me like I am his child. I stood up and responded why are you pointing your finger at me when you are the one giving preferential treatment to other people. My review of this establishment is terrible service at best.....racist at worst

Read a bunch of reviews and this apparently is the best Indian food in Brooklyn Heights. Thats disappointing. The food wasnt horrible, but at the same time it wasnt great. Overall, it was pretty bland. The restaurant was empty, yet service was still kind of slow. I ran out of water halfway through my meal and they never stopped by to check on us until the bill came at the very end. One of the waiters was a bit obnoxious too. My wife and I will not be returning. Well keep looking for a good Indian place. I was told previous places in the same location were shut down twice by the health department. For the most part, things seemed pretty clean, but who knows.

The decor is typical of your favorite Indian dining experience - rug, bland wallpaper and a full-on tablecloth, place settings and servile wait-staff - but, the flavor is beyond the typical. The chutneys have an extra punch of sweetness, and the vindaloo is potent without being overpowering with heat. A better reviewer could analyze the taste, but from a lay Indian restaurateur, their kitchen has that umff that makes them stand apart. Mind you, it just opened and serves neither beer or wine. Just go for the grub. You wont be disappointed.

The reason I am giving them 2 stars is for the stinky service. The waiter was literally rushing us to leave, trying to dispose of my plate when its half full and I am clearly NOT DONE, bringing the check and coming back 4 times to see if I added my card already... UGGGHH like bruhhhh ??!! It wasnt even closing time or something??! Issa NO. Otherwise food is EXCELLENT! Will probably go back but not sure I want to stay to eat.. would rather order for pick up.

This is the best indian/desi halal restaurant in this area. They are popular for their lunch buffets which is more like a pre-fix menu with non-veg/veg options along with rice and bread. My personal favorite is their menu items. I highly recommend their Salmon Tikka, Chicken Bhuna, Paratha Bread, Samosa, Karahi Chicken and also Mutton curry. Staffs are very friendly and the place is moderately clean.

I discovered this spot last Thursday while on a stroll, contemplating what I was going to eat on my lunch break...the line was a bit long when I got on it but it was worth the wait, I visited once more today and invited a co-worker along, we both enjoyed our meals...you can definitely expect more city colleagues to show up, as I have spread the word and taken a few menus to work to show off

Vegetarian dishes I had were very good, savory without being spicy. The spice kick was definitely in the Samosas though, and it was just the right amount of heat while letting the flavors come though. The only complaint (a minor one) was the naan was a little on the dry/crispy side. Service was good. Our waiter was cheerful and attentive. Will definitely come back.

Came here with my best friend on Saturday. We havent seen each other in months (I came to NYC to visit him) and we both really wanted curry. Curry Heights had delicious curry and an amazingly pleasant staff. We will definitely be coming back on my subsequent visits to the city. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. ☺️

Litter Heights This restaurant pays people to "distribute" their menus, which they stick under doors, into fences, under windshield wipers and even in the forks of parked bikes. These menus inevitably end up littering every street. Please vote with your wallet and support businesses that respect the surrounding community

Best lamb biryani in NYC hands down. Delicious. Just the right kind of spicy. Never disappoints. Im somewhat of a regular to this joint, so Ive had this dish multiple times. Overall vibe is decent enough. Dig the Indian style house music. Nothing fancy. The food is the real star of the show anyway.

We went there and the guy basically asked us to come back in 30 minutes no explanation, nothing. I think it was because they were switching from lunch to dinner but still there were people still eating. We wouldnt have minded if they allowed us to wait inside for 30 minutes. Very unprofessional.

Solid joint for Indian food. The tikka masala and paneer veg dishes are tasty. Tandoori meats are nice and aromatic. Also great to order catering for events, which they also provide as a service. From the past several times Ive ordered catering from Curry Heights, I have no complaints.

The food exotic and we tried most of the dishes, and all of them are very very tasty. I didnt taste this kind of tasty food ever. Every one should go and try this India once in their life. Im so obsessed with this taste that I went to this restaurant everyday during my stay of 2weeks.

When they first opened the chef they had made the sauces from scratch and it was unbelievably good. They have since turned into an ordinary but OK Indian restaurant, but the only real choice in the heights. 4 Stars for the mulligatawny soup and okra Bindi Masala.

I loved it here! My family came to New York to visit, and after a long walk on the Brooklyn Bridge, we found this Indian restaurant and it was awesome. Everyone there was extremely friendly and the food was amazing! Would totally recommend!
