I really do like the look of the place and all but the price is honestly a deal breaker for a restaurant/cafe. Firstly, I heard about this place from a friend who saw a cool video about the place, online. It looked cool and its not too difficult to get to if youre going via public transportation. My concern starts here: I feel the owners expected it to be a sort of hipster haven, but they forgot its Brownsville and theres a reason that its the only neighborhood in Brooklyn which has not been affected at all by gentrification. I suggest you lower your prices, and have a bit faster service if you can, bc its way too slow for even small orders. You have a huge space and like no customers for a reason, and you should know better as to why than I do. Bear in mind I am reviewing from my two visits (I always give a second chance). Ultimately, I like how the place looks and I can definitely see it as a "hotspot" to hang out if you go with a large group, but for now, I cannot say its anything special.

I was excited to try 3 Black Cats cafe because Id seen a segment on the news about it. I live in East New York and even took a cab over to the cafe. Unfortunately, my friend and I did not get a warm welcome at all. In fact we wanted to order the chicken and waffles, but the woman taking the order seemed so irritated by our presence I just ordered something small and simple. She didnt seem like she wanted to be bothered (young woman with box braids). That was truly disappointing, but Im still willing to come back and give it another chance. The cafe itself was so nice and spacious. I loved the decor. I throw a lot of parties and would love to host a possible event there. The food that we did order was tasty and fresh. Im hoping the next time will be a better experience. Update: So I finally got a chance to come back and it was wonderful. The staff was friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the buttermilk waffle. Ill be back again!

I was beyond excited to give my patronage to this black owned business in Brownsville; so when I placed a $60 order for a birthday party I was incredibly disappointed that the customer service (upon pick up) was quite lacking and the salmon cakes were embarrassingly bad. The sugar-free carrot cake was quite nice, tasty and well designed. The aforementioned salmon cakes however, were paper thin, burnt, foul smelling and missing a piece to boot. I ordered a dozen and when my sister picked them up, there was only 11. We were given a five dollar refund but in hindsight, I should have gotten a full refund for the salmon cakes because we ended up throwing them away when we attempted to heat them and realized how bad they smelled. I wanted to make this my go-to spot for catering and brunches, but now Ill have to look elsewhere. Such a waste of a beautiful cafe and a promising idea.

I always go here . They started to shorten the portions now . Which that will only cause me to have to go a little less because my daughter eats and we need enough . The mac is the best . I tell customers as they ask inside . Love the mac its the cheesiest . The jerk tends to be Lil salty . They didnt have the cheesecake tart yesterday . I finally all the months since summer tried lemon cake and I wasnt so fond of it was like bake with Lil to much water . But the light skin girl always so nice . Like w/e and to just walk in and pick up in atmosphere is wonderful place to await during long wait at time up to 20 minutes at a time . Ill be there for the tarts today long as the have and a side of mac as soon as they open .

I stopped into the cafe with my friend for something sweet, but I also decided to get the jerk panini and a mango smoothie. The jerk panini was to die for and the smoothie was made fresh in front of me. My friend purchased the fried chicken and waffle, which was also good. To satisfy my sweet tooth I bought the mini cheesecake with strawberries on top. It was so good I bought four more (the last of them) to take home. I have recommended this cafe to all my family and friends. I will definitely be going back for more. The cafe was beautiful, clean, and the atmosphere was friendly and amazing. I am proud that this is a sister, black owned business. Good job Ladies!!

The Café is very spacious and clean with enough outlets to charge your devices. There are small tables and booths to sit at. The baked goods taste good and the owners are very nice. The lemon loaf and pineapple coconut cake are my favorites! They have an ample food menu for breakfast and lunch. The waffles come in good flavors and even seasonal ones, like pumpkin during the fall. I keep going back to the jerk chicken panini. Now, theyve added happy hour. I used to go into other neighborhoods for a café setting. Now, I dont have to because Brownsville has its own.

The food is on point they smoothies are delicious and the Mac and Cheese and BBQ chicken is a must have. This is a beautiful space, but the management needs a lot of work. I attended a party there. The room for the rental wasnt ready, the staff was unable too answer questions and were very rude when the rental time ended. My friends and I conduct a number of events, unfortunately they will not be at 3 Black Cats.

I loved this place the mini cupcakes were awesome and the cheesecake was delicious. I will be returning very soon but there is one problem the girl that attended me was VERY rude and snotty. I think that was very unprofessional. Other than that 3 blacks cats is a very decent place.

These 3 Sistas Know exactly what they are doing. Made 2 separate orders 1 in August for my 9 year old birthday & the other that took it to new level was my Grandmothers 100th birthday in November. Anything you ask they will try & meet those expectations. The TRUTH!
