City Islanders know the "Diner" cant be beat for perfect pancakes, eggs and french toast for breakfast all day. Great burgers, creative sandwiches and the best Manhattan clam chowder on the island for lunch. Worth a trip just for the heck of it or if you are visiting City Island for the day by land or sea.

Had breakfast and sat at the bar. Everything was cooked perfectly! Havent had that solid a breakfast in a while. Crispy bacon and the french toast was so yummy. Saw the cooks making pancakes, didnt order any but wished i had by the looks of them!

I must say good food however the close confined space reminds me of a jailhouse mess hall and there were several loud ignorant black people whose conversations I couldnt help but overhear Ill never come back regardless of how good the food was
