Today I went to Jackson Hole diner 3501 Bell Boulevard Bayside NY to have brunch as a send off for my sister leaving for Penn State Honor’s college. It was supposed to be a fun meal with family yet it turned into one of the most heartbreaking moments of my life. After we ordered our meals a young boy with mental disabilities came in and the man running the restaurant quickly told him to get out. The boy not understanding innocently sat on chair waiting for the rest of his party to join him. The owner then yelled at him telling him to get out again. The young disabled boy got excited, the owner then grabbed him and physically pushed him out of the front door of restaurant. He proceeded to hold the door shut to prevent him from re-entering. The man-manager told a waitress who was shocked and inquired what he was doing that the boy is too disruptive and cannot eat here anymore. When the waitress came over with our food; we asked if the manager threw the boy out because he suffered from a mental disability and she responded yes. She said “he has eaten here before, I don’t know why he just did that.” My heart instantly broke and I felt sick to my stomach. We walked out of the restaurant with the food still hot on the table untouched. As someone who grew up with a family friend who suffers from autism, I was shocked. You see videos and you hear stories but seeing such a horrible act of disrespect, unkindness and disregard unfold in front of you is completely heartbreaking. To see someone treat a human worse than a person should treat a stray dog breaks my heart. I cannot believe what I saw and do not understand how someone can do that. Just because someone has a disability they have no control over, doesnt mean other people have the right to treat them so barbarically. I write this because I want people to be aware of what happen and hope that if someone I loved was treated that way it would be brought to my attention. I hope just like we did they to would walk out and fight for something to be done. I will never eat at any Jackson Hole diner again but everyone should boycott the one in Bayside NY.

This place sucks! Ive been coming here on average once a month since they opened. I always gave them a chance because they are a bit different than most diners, however never again will I go there.1st off the food is so inconsistent.... 2nd, they are way overpriced. What happened today was actually minor until the manager stepped in. Simply, I phoned in an pick-up order.... 2 fried eggs on a roll....thats it, nothing else. I get the same thing at least once a week from them. When I went to pay, the young lady looked at the menu, added it up with tax and said "$5.50 please". I was a taken back a bit and said "Excuse me, but I always pay $3.90 (which is more than most places)....She said "no way" and called the manager. Manager came over and with out even acknowledging me said " Charge him $4, he NEVER paid $3.90"..I said "yes I have always paid $3.90". Again he said "No way sir,youve never paid $3.90" At this point I handed them back my sandwich and said "1- I believe I know what I pay for things. 2- These are just 2 eggs....not gold" and finally I said "See ya---you just lost a customer, there are so many other place to eat at ....you aint anything special....keep your sandwich" and I left. When I got home, I went online, looked at their menu and sure enough under "Sandwichs" it say "Fried egg sandwich....$3.65"!. I know the whole thing is silly, but they need to know that there are other places to go and realize how easy it is to lose a customer. Thanks for letting me vent. PS.... the food is so inconsistent.... one day hot, the next day cooked on the outside but FROZEN on the inside. One day you take a bite of a burger and its OK...next day you order the same thing, take a bite and it falls apart onto your plate and clothes

I have eaten food from here many times. Actually too many to remember due to the fact that I live close by. I have no complaints about the food. Maybe because I always order the same thing. I either order a Chicken Caesar wrap or a Caesar salad with grilled chicken. Most of the time is through grubhub for delivery. If you are looking for a modern diner, this isnt the place. The restaurant itself hasnt been updated since who knows when but I guess thats the image, style and decor that makes them a Jackson Hole diner. The couple of times that I have eaten inside I have had great service. The staff are always attentive, quick and nice. So far so good.

I have been eating at this Jackson Hole for nearly twenty years. Ive seen folks give this restaurant a negative review based on their pancakes or lox or guacamole. Come on! This is a burger joint! Plain and simple. If you like a big, juicy burger that you can have a couple dozen different ways, including turkey burger, then try this spot out. Ive never had a bad experience here...and I take my burger-eating very seriously! If you want breakfast...try a pancake house. If you want a good, jumbo-sized burger anyway you like it, drop into Jackson Hole.

These negative reviews are from snobby or jackass folks....this is why I say that...> I was recommended to this restaurant by 3 people through work and family. This place is A+ all around. No possibly way you can give it a bad review. They give you big portions of food, good quality and clean...and fair price.....The guy at the door jimmy is a great respectable person to be around.... all around this place is the place that you need more of around.... if you got a problem , email me and I will tell you the real deal...

I am a huge fan of Jackson holes, but Not the one in Bayside. Wow!!!! the food was so disgusting I was sick for two days. I ordered a mushroom burger with bacon and cheese. I didnt get any cheese n there was only one sluce of bacon. My husband oedered a philly cheese stake and it tasted like a burger the bread was so soggy. The only thing we enjoyed after spending $50 was the ice cream shake. Im so disappointed at this Jackson holes. They should change the cook or management because the food wasnt fresh at all.

Fifties decor real cute. Ive eaten here before. Lunch and dinner great. Breakfast not so much. Seams like they dump leftover ingredients from night before into morning omlets. Ridiculously large amounts of onion circles, obviously for onion rings and oversized chopped tomatoes, in my so called Greek omlet. Almost no feta cheese. Thin runny egg batter like for crepes. Must say I was surprised. Ill ever go back for breakfast. Maybe Ill never go back period.

Richard ,if you come back in here please state your nationality and the others who have had bad service state your nationality ,What type of waiters and cook is working there ? Cheap labor has consequenses but the business owners just dont seem to care ,the pictures here of the food served there does not look good ,looks like nasty food especially the burger

Burger was disgusting, service is amateurish, and the place has roaches. Dont know this place is still operating, someone should call 311. The place is good if you just need to eat something because you came home from the hospital. Otherwise, its a not so good place to eat. Highly suggest not going here. Roaches + Bad Burgers + Bad Service = Bad Review.
