Open..everything else is terrible . The girl that answers the phone puts you on hold for like 20 to 30 minutes . She says shes busy in the store like shes the only one there. If thats the case hire more people. Then the delivery guy guys delivers the food with an attitude expecting a lot for tips then argues when you give him what he calls little . One time i ordered through grub hub they delivered the food with half the order . Grubhub contacted them and the representative even said the girl picked up the phone and denied that she which is is not the cook put the food in order and even gave the grub hub rep a hard time . Good luck to anyone that goes here .Now the owner is arguing with reviews.Still a Bad restaurant much better restaurants in Astoria to get food now

Heres what to expect when ordering over ghe phone: The phone rings, someone answers and right away they say "hold please". Then a few minutes later, they finally take the order. Horrible system of doing things. The owner is pretty clueless. The food is subpar to say the least. I used to go there for breakfast until i kept running into the same issue all the time. I used to order scrambled eggs with shredded hashbrown but the only problem was, they had hashbrown half the time. One of the worst things a place that serves food is not have something that is on the menu especially something that goes well with an egg breakfast like hashbrown. They make a pretty decent chicken parm panini though.

(literally) 3 hours for delivery last Sunday. The reps on the phone were quite inconsiderate and downplayed the problem based on the size of my order. "You only ordered one thing, we had a lot of people walk in here". The "one thing" was for a very hungry and cranky pregnant women. The way this was handled is pathetic. If you cant handle business then do not accept it. Oh and by the way, after waiting 5 min shy of 3 hours, the food was nasty, and the bottom of the delivery bag was a mess. Sorta like the entire experience.

Igloo is really consistent, and with the things they do well they generally always do them well. Their diner fare is a safe bet, as are most of the dinner specials. Their sweet breakfast items (like waffles) are somewhat on the weak side, not bad, but nothing really exciting. Im not a huge fan of their wraps. Decent and sort of gigantic salads. The ice cream and shakes and smoothies are really good here.

Kinda strange place. Doesnt exactly have your typical New York diner feel and it has a weird name. But when you have a young toddler, you cant be too picky. Lots of seating; I cant imagine this place ever busy enough where they fill up all the tables in the front, back and outside, so if youre ever in the Ditmars area and just want typical diner food without any hassle, this place will work.

LOVE Igloo Cafe—not only do they make slammin waffle chips and amazing omlets, but they are just the sweetest people in the neighborhood. They generously accomodate my schools parents association meetings and they are always so helpful and thoughtful in their service. Igloo is not a fancy restaurant, but when you are looking for a neighborhood diner, you can do no better than Igloo.

Meal was delicious, fairly well priced and on my table within about 5 minutes. I was very happy. Freshly made whipped cream which was good too. Service was sound however there is a lot of room for improvement in the environment. If it werent for the fake flowers (ugh!) and ripped seat cover then I would have been more generous in my rating.

My boyfriend and I go here regularly... Mostly because its affordable and has a very unhealthy wrap that my boyfriend cant stop ordering. Also, it has corn nuggets which are like deep-fried cream corn. I probably just ruined that for you, but oh well. Anyway, its nothing special but its worth a look if you need an inexpensive diner option.

A solid choice among all of Astorias diners and eateries. I always have delicious food- I especially recommend the Eggs Florentine and California Burger. The servers will recognize you after a few visits and will do their best for great service all the time, including the busy breakfast shifts! Eat here and enjoy!

Lots of seating, tasty food, and very fast service when I dropped by a couple of weeks ago. I ordered an omelette and had it on my table within about 5 minutes. The orange juice was freshly squeezed and the prices were more than reasonable. Ill most likely be back sometime soon.

Great place to go for ice cream, burgers, salad, and more. The burgers are really good. The service was great. Cheap prices. The place is very clean and kept well. It is very comfortable to sit for a while and chat with friends. Brunch is really good. Service is excellent.

Worst service ever! The person who takes the orders over the phone is very rude. The owner was very nasty and racist. The delivery guy always throws the orders on the floor and demands a tip. I will never order from this place again!

Excellent healthy salads. Several options. Has a TV with the game on. Open till 11pm. Best diner in the area. Salads are good 9/10. Coffee is organic I think. Espresso well done. Booth seats. Outdoor area in the back during the day.

Probably the worst restaurant in Astoria. Deliveries are always late, orders always have multiple mistakes, and customer service is abominable. Employees are very rude and their bathrooms are disgusting. The food is consistently bad.

A place that will make you feel stuffed and full for the rest of the day! Went there twice, once for breakfast, their pancakes were massive and tasty and the second time for lunch and the burger was huge, i couldnt finish it all!

We like it for good simple breakfasts. They have 12-15 kinds of omlettes. They are pretty good (not great) and at a reasonable price. Service is very good. Well definitely come back.

What can be said? Cheap, and very good. Easy going as well. Take a date, take yourself, take your dog dressed as your significant other. Just check this place out.

Ordered lunch for coworkers. Specifically said please make sure to include utensils. Got back to the office and of course no forks. Otherwise food was good.

Nice menu with reasonable prices. I go there for the breakfast which is quite good. If you get hashbrowns I recommend telling them to make it extra crispy.

Whenever I am in Astoria, its not even a question, Igloo is a MUST. Wait staff is always super nice to my young daughter as well. She loves it here too.

Its something of a diner. They do take credit cards. Food was served relatively quickly and was good but not memorable. Staff was very nice.

My first time at the Igloo Cafe was a very good time. Good food, good prices, and good service. I look forward to returning.
