We went there for our anniversary. Online reservation request didnt get recorded. But luckily we didnt have to wait for more than 5 mins. We ordered the papri Chaat for appetizer. Very well done. Authentic Indian Chaat taste. It started with a good dish. Then we ordered Manchurian n veg Hakka noodles. Im pretty sure indo Chinese doesnt have mushrooms in most of the dishes, unless its a special request. So we were surprised to see mushrooms in our Hakka noodles. We requested our waiter to just take it back to the kitchen, as I am allergic to mushrooms. We told him we didnt want to do anything about it and we were pretty full by then, so we will just have the rice n Manchurian (which could have been done slightly better) instead our waiters supervisor tried to convince us that Hakka noodles always has mushrooms n we should have told him about the allergy earlier. There was no mention of mushrooms n so, it slipped my mind to inform it to them. I said Im sorry n I requested the noodles be taken back. He continued for a good 10-15 mins before the owner or manager (who just got to the restaurant) to just quietly take the dish back. N his attitude suddenly changed when he was ordered to get our dish redone. We really didnt ask for it n we would have been okay even without that. It did upset our moods. Service could have been better n they need to be considerate towards us. But the food was much better than other restaurants here. Never tried buffet but Ive heard a lot of my friends complaint that the tastes n dishes arent really good.

I had tried their biriyani once and honestly loved it a LOT but this time I went for a weekday lunch buffet for the first time and was disappointed with food & service. One waiter with many customers scenario: constantly needed to call for water refills and remind him to bring naan. Also, the food wasnt being refilled as much in the pans as it shouldve. I literally had to remind the same waiter for three different dishes to be filled up. It came to a point where he picked up only two pieces of tikka masala that was left in the pan and gave me those last ones rather than bring me new ones when I told him to bring more chicken because theres hardly any in it. Taste: surprisingly their chicken tikka masala was actually better than the other restaurants I have tried around the area and my other favorite was their kofta curry. Other than those two its sad to say I didnt like anything else. It was very tasteless and bland which is weird to say for "Indian food". To the owner: Thanks for your reply. I went back for the Saturday buffet again and this time the food, taste, service, and everything was just perfect. I have taken some pictures too. I also think the addition to the pani puris and the fusion fish + noodles were great too. I must say that the water mixture for the pani puris are the best Ive ever tried in all of NY & NYC. As always, biriyanis are always my favorite and the chicken biryani that day had the perfect spice to it. Will be going back again!

Our experience with this place was horrible and here is why. The ambience is great, the lady at the reception was courteous. Thats it, then it goes down hill. Order: Sweet Corn Soup, Chili Chicken, Paneer Bhurji, Chicken Curry, Dal Makhani, Tanddori Roti, Lacha Parantha, Bullet Naan. Soup: Got the soup but no sauces, took 10 minutes and asking multiple times before we got soy sauce. By that time the soup was not hot enough to enjoy. Main Course: First came the entrees No Roti, after asking for it we got Bullet naan. 5 minutes later tandoori Roti showed up that looked and felt like eating 2 days old thin crust Pizza. Does not look like they have a TANDOOR. Then comes the Lacha Parntha which looked and felt like the Roti mentioned above with oil on it. We decided to not have the Roti or the Lacha Parantha. We asked for 2 Naans instead and got the most surprising answer of the evening it will take at least 15 minutes. I said to the server, what is the point of having entrees with No Roti and all he could do was shrug his shoulders. That was it, we decided to leave. Recommendation: I would not go here again. If you do go, here are my 2 cents. Expect very poor service, quality of entrees average at best. Roti please stick to Naan as they do not know how to make any other type. Servers are rude

I visited along with my friends on second day of opening and this was the worst experience of my life. Our order came after hour long and all the food was like left over from weeks and they just microwaved it.the Naan was not fresh made it was also microwaved (cant eat and we did not eat at all). The paneer tikka masala gravy tasted really weird it was not the way it should be. Same thing with chicken and goat curry. Upon request the waiter rudely said that he tasted it and it was good but we canceled that.(he was not customer friendly and rude). We paid our bill but didnt eat at all and had to go to TACO BELL. I have tried all Indian restaurants in capitol region and this was minus stars amonst all.I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone. DO NOT EVER GO THERE. DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT TRYING AT ONCE.

I went there for Dinner on a Saturday evening. Ordered - Gobhi Manchurian Malai Kofta Naan Chole Bhature Dal fry Food was really good, we enjoyed it a lot. I am very choosy when it comes to Indian food as I tend to compare the food we get back home. I would say I was not disappointed. Service was good too. We went with 2 five year old kids and restaurant people were very friendly and nice(I had some bad experience in Karavalli) But I would say that we went for dinner at 6:30 and there were very few people and service was fine, but I wont be surprised that during peak hours the service might get bad; I might be wrong though. Prices are very reasonable compared to the ambiance and food quality you get. Highly Recommend

The atmosphere and the physical restaurant itself is nicely done and clean. The silverware and tables are tasteful and elegant. The service staff was polite but a bit shorthanded. The food in general tasted great. Most of the food was ok but the Lamb Korma was out of this world. The biggest detractor however was how long it took to receive service. It took almost 40 minutes to receive our appetizers for a party of 4. Then the entrees were another 30 minutes after that. The restaurant was only moderately busy and I would imagine they would plan capacity for a Friday night. Overall if you dont mind waiting a long time for the food, this is a good spot in Albany. I will probably be visiting again in the future.

After landing into Albany Airport from Houston, I was in the mood for Indian food and came across this well reviewed restaurant, so I decided to choose eating here for dinner. I ordered a chai, chicken tikka masala and garlic naan. The chai was ok, as was the naan, albeit a bit rich on the ghee/oil. Pretty generic food. What bothered me was how quickly the chicken tikka masala came out (within 5 minutes of ordering it?!), which suggests to me that this may have been reheated buffet lunch food. There is no way a clay oven can cook tikka that quickly! Also, the sauce was a bit bland (I ordered medium)...needs more salt. All around, neither good or bad...just bland/generic Indian food.
