I would give this place 5 stars, if the service wasnt so awful. The food was incredible. Some of the best Indian fare Ive had in the states in a long, long time. The Matar Paneer blew my mind. So, rich, with great cheese, fresh peas, and an incredible sauce. The rice was fluffy and aromatic, the poori satisfyingly chewy, and the dal extra creamy. On the other hand, I was the only patron in the restaurant around 4pm on Wednesday and was mostly ignored by the only server. He chose to chat on the phone when my food came up and sat on the other side of the dining room and watched television the entire time I ate, not having any clue as to whether I needed water or my check. However, I still suggest visiting, because the quality of the food overwhelms the poor service.

New owners have made this place even better, Best Indian food in Middletown! Not only is the food great but their customer service follows suit. They forgot to deliver one of our appetizers which was no big deal but the delivery guy said he promised to come back when he was on the area to give me some. They called today to deliver them along with an extra meal to compensate! A+

My absolute favorite Indian restaurant (and Ive been to many). I live in Florida now and always make sure to come back to Tandoor whenever Im visiting CT. Raj is so friendly and is really a sweet person and great businessman. I highly recommend the Navrattan Korma, although any good here is flavorful and worth trying. Added bonus: all you can eat lunch buffet for under $10.

I went for dinner the food served was worst and no hospitality. Especially no respect for desis. The chicken served was not cooked well and if spice is asked only more chilli powder is added nothing else, also I thought it costly than other Indian restaurants. Overall the food was truly below average.

Awesome Food, till now the best we had in CT. They serve mild food but we ordered them hot and it was simply the best. Highly recommended to all Indians who are missing the true authentic Indian Punjabi Cuisine.1st time had a Paisa Wasool Feeling !

We found this restaurant by accident and Im so glad we did. If you love Indian food this place is a must. The service was extremely quick and the food was amazing. To make things even better they also deliver. Well definitely be going back!

Great food at a reasonable price. The lunch buffet is only $9. The inside has a formal/casual feel which is nice. Indian food is a little spicy. They use potato, peas, chicken and lamb in many of their dishes. I think it’s delicious.
