One advantage of having a restaurant in NJ is the space. The Shake Shack here is bigger than most of the NYC shake shack. They even had a small outdoor seating area, and a super cute (and very considerate) pet "parking" with water filled for them. And to complete the parking, you can buy dog treats here as well, so you can enjoy your yummy food with your pet! One downfall of opening NYC restaurant in NJ location is that people think it is "over priced" - which might be true in NJ... I visited this location during lunch on a weekday with couple of my colleagues. Since one of them have never been to any shake shack, he was excited to try them out, and I was excited for him! We each got a burger/sandwich, shake, and we decided to share fries (non of us were a big eater). One thing that I like the most about Shake Shack is that each location has their own special burger, that you can NOT get anywhere else! At this location, they had a burger called Bacon Cheddar Shack, and of course I ordered this one. It looked good and it tasted even better! The patty was as juicy and flavorful as always, the buns are soft, and cheese was gooey goodness... I also got their Shake of the week, which was Cherry Streusel. It tasted like a cherry pie in a cup! it also had some bits of cherries, which was a nice touch. I really liked it Overall, another restaurant out of NYC, with the benefit of larger space, less people, and no wait time. I heard lots of positive things about Shake Shack so I made a point to try it after going to the Bridgewater Mall. The place is very clean and has modern decor. The staff is friendly and the wait time wasnt bad. (Although there was a very long line as we left.) The food was incredibly overpriced, especially considering the portions were not large. My order was a Smoke Shack (burger with bacon and peppers), cheese fries, and a shake, which seems like a normal meal for one person. It came out to almost $18! And I didnt even get the "double" for my burger. The burger, fries, and shake were all either small or average sized. The food itself is good. Id say its definitely a good tasting burger. The patty was juicy and the peppers were actually good. But I dont think the burger, fries, or shake are so amazing to justify the price. In my opinion, Five Guys gives you a better burger (bigger with more toppings and similar quality) for much cheaper (same with fries). So Ill definitely stick with Five Guys over Shake Shack. So while Shake Shack has good food and a nice atmosphere, its not worth the price. I feel you are paying a large premium to be hip and trendy. The menu is also limited.

Food was good but service could be better. Ordered via the app and was promised it would be done by 8pm. Got there at 8 and stood there for almost 20 minutes, the app stated that I would get a text when it was done. I finally asked someone where my order was and was told it was ready but they just had to get it "put together". Im not sure how long the food was sitting there but my burger was cold when I got in my car.

Shake Shack is one of those fad restaurants that can be really, REALLY popular - this can lead to long lines and perhaps the inability to find a table at peak times (and even off-peak times!!). Still, I find that Shake Shacks burgers and fries are to die for, even if they cost 10 or more dollars. Again, how is a milkshake five dollars? Its a small, seriously. Still, Shake Shack makes up for it with amazing food :).

Super overrated! I can eat burgers day and night but every time I leave this place Im sick to my stomach afterwards. The burgers are either fried or grilled in a puddle of oil, the fries arent great, and the shakes taste like any other milkshake from any fast food joint except that theyre ridiculously overpriced and come in a small cup! Skip this place and head out to a Five Guys or Zinburger instead!

Finally Shake Shack has come to our area. After several months and several visits, they finally got my order right on the first try. One thing that annoys me about all Shake Shacks, is that they dont print the custom parts of your order on the receipt. Dont like tomatoes on your burger? Better hope they inputted it correctly, because theres no way to verify with your receipt.

Very pricey for fast food. If you were not one of the yong, slim, white, female professionals from the the nearby business, you were not given your food by an employee. You had to get it yourself. I was "encouraged " to leave immediately after eating. I was not allowed to finish my drink. I was asked how everything was and then motioned to leave immediately.

This is a place you can faithfully judge the quality and taste of other burgers by. Shake Shack is the international standard of a delicious fast casual burger in my opinion. I actually suggest getting the burger with no cheese so you can taste their meat. Its superior. Youll see the standard set here. Its delicious at a fair price point & conveniently located.

Food was awesome. Ordered the double smoke shack burger and a milkshake. Fries are pretty good too. Can be tough to find parking and seating on the weekend so be mentally prepared. Staff was friendly and tables were constantly being cleaned. You get a buzzer for when your order is ready and you can sit a group of six on a few tables.

I had the chicken shack, very disappointed. Very small in size and I would say chick fil a sandwich is much better. The chicken patty felt deeply fried. Fries and shake are decent nothing special. A meal here would cost 13-14 dollars which is like 50% premium over any other regular fast food place.Good ambiance and interiors.

The food is great Im always there! Now lets get to the staff!! This company knws who to hire and how to train there employees! Because there always fun and sweet and one time they got my order wrong they came out n gave to me everything I ordered free and let me keep the order that was not correct! Im always there!!!

Best taste, best service ever! If you have tasted this burger, you dont want to go somewhere else. Today cashier made a small mistake in my order and the manager came to me in person to apologize and gave me an additional dishes without charge! I strongly recommend peanut butter shake!

I go here all the time for lunch. The food is great and the customer service is above and beyond. Steve (he asked us to call him Chef) greeted us when we walked in, chatted us up during and after the meal and really made the guest experience a great one. Love love love this place!

Good. Tasty food. Reg portions nothing too big. Amazing fries. Very tasty. But prcy is terms. Of comparing a 4 4 4 from Wendys. But when comparing to reg menu items from other places. Its miles better. Good place a bit on the pricier side but good for 1 time a month or so. :)
