My dad and I eat lunch here every few weeks, and we are never disappointed. Its comforting to know the lunch specials are there, but a little surprise isnt out of the question! The lunch specials are complete; soup or salad, your lunch, and dessert, for two, for under $25. And heres the bonus: the food is great, too! We each have our favorites (dad goes for the meat loaf and mashed potatoes. I like the stuffed peppers. And the fish & chips. And the beef goulash. And sometimes that sandwich-thingie, what is it? Roast turkey, and something, and avocado, something like that. The point is, its good food), but well try something different from time to time, were not fanatical about it, or anything. Well, except Thursdays. Maybe were a little fanatical about Thursdays. Corned beef and cabbage. LEM

I love this place! If you are grabbing breakfast on the run, they make the most AWESOME sausage egg and cheese sandwhich. Ive been to Budd Lake Diner, Roxbury Diner, Randolph Diner, and just about every breakfast stop inbetween all of them, and the Andover Diner breakfast sandwich is by far the best in New Jersey! If youre going to sit down for breakfast, then this is the place! Excellent, friendly wait staff, and the country style cooking is great! The portions are quite big, so there is considerable value as well. Be sure to ask when the next Prime Rib special night is going to be, and then make sure you mark your calendar to come back for it. Everything is prepared to perfection. You will not be disappointed!

I can ignore most peoples comments. I mean everyone has an opinion. But microwaved pancakes??? Come on.... get your taste buds checked. I have been eating at Andover diner literally for at least 20 years and one thing I know for sure they have the best tasting diner pancakes around. If these are microwaved then tell me what freezer I can buy them from because I want to load up! And the sausage is so fresh and juicy how the heck can you think it is microwaved? You want microwaved? Have breakfast at Mc Donalds or Dunkin Donuts . Now thats microwaved. You must not eat out much. Everything is good at Andover diner. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner its all good!

In appearance, this seems like a pretty average Jersey diner. Somewhat smallish but with typical chrome on the outside. The food was a surprise though. They make great potato pancakes and those go well with the weekend special, which is the Yankee pot roast. Service was great too: well-paced and attentive.

Food is usually very good but the service today is likely one of the worst waitresses I have ever experienced. No hello, only "drink?" Then a minute later came back because she "got distracted" and forgot. And then when I ordered she said nothing and walked away. Service shows a lot about a restaurant.

I went, had a stale sandwich, bad coffee and horrible service. We went before a funeral, the service made me feel unwelcome and unwanted. The food at our table 8, 75% of our food was badly cooked. Badly presented and tasted bad.

Something as simple as getting splenda for the coffee is rationed and only available when ask. The eggs, bacon, sausage and pancakes seemed microwaved. I think chef Ramsey need to do a kitchen nightmare episode at this place

Breakfast run to this diner for the first time. In spite of the negative comments in the past, this was a great experience. Service, food, atmosphere all wonderful. Would highly recommend.
