We tried Jhopri for dinner and were not impressed, but we were persuaded by vegan friends to go back and try it for the buffet on Sunday and that was great! The Sunday buffet is heavily attended so there are a lot of different dishes available, and we had the impression the food in the buffet was more authentic than what wed been served for dinner. The place certainly looks nice / is well kept, and there is actually bike parking to the rear. Our friends say that they only had to ask for vegan food once and now they are always recognised and given special supplements to the buffet, since most things on the buffet are not vegan (some arent even vegetarian.) The sauces are totally amazing, my only criticism was that some of the vegetables (e.g. the beans and spinach) seemed canned rather than fresh.

Walked in and the place smelled delicious. Also the clientele was close to half Indians, so took that as a good sign. Perhaps should have asked for food "hot" because the butter chicken (makhani) was bland and the bindi (eggplant) masala could have used more flavor as well. Very much enjoyed the grilled chunks of cheese curd appetizer but not the rosmalai dessert which was clearly from a frozen package. In their defense, the waiter did say that they did not make it there, but we took that to assume it was made elsewhere, not packaged. Service was good. Will be trying a different Indian place in the area next time.

One of the worst place I ever been. They charge too much for the worst dinner. When I complain that the food is not hot and fresh. The manager Mayur simply said this is how we serve since its busy and yes we cook and freez the thandori itemsand we warm before serve and I dont know much about whats happening in kitchen we all are busy... one of the worst response from a manager I ever heard from restaurant... There is no 0 STAR OPTION other wise thats my choice... all they care about is money and nothing else... NEVER EVER GO NEAR TO THIS PLACE...!!!

We were here for lunch, they were closing their buffet so had to order from the menu.Nothing extraordinary about the list, accustomed dishes, and very basic taste. The only reason for this review is to mention the blunt service, it seemed very lousy and the attendant seemed to be in a hurry to remove the dishes even while we were still working on it.If the restaurant did not wish to entertain customers post lunch it is better to have closing hours rather than provide such a service.

Slowly but surely this has become the go-to for Indian lunch buffet, in large part because theres a good variety of vegetarian and meat dishes. The mali kofta and palak panir are especially tasty. Service is solid: when we found our table was wobbly, we were reseated without hesitation, though management would be wise to fix since theres a significant lunch crowd. My only gripe is dirty utensils, which Ive seen on more than one occasion.

The food quality is subpar. I could not manage to swallow the Manchurian balls. I usually make it a point not to waste food .. but had to dump my plate in this case. It was insipid and mushy ( neither taste nor texture) ..I tried other items in the buffet. Most of them were bad. The only good thing was okra with potatoes. The restaurant had used fresh okra ( not frozen) and hadnt overcooked it.

This is definitely one of the better Indian restaurants in this area, of which there are several. Along with its sister restaurant Cross Culture, the food here is consistently good. Stick with the North Indian stuff especially the malai kofta, chicken tikka and even biryani, and you likely wont go wrong. We also often do takeout.

Nice ambience and good food quality ! I would say this is one of the best Indian restaurants in this area. Each dining table is setup with a bottle of sparkling water and candle if you prefer candle light dinner. Has good options for vegetarian food also. Veg Biryani was awesome!!! To-go option is also available here.

This place is pretty good. Its owned by the Cross Culture people on Harrison Street in Princeton. I got the feeling that this food might have been slightly worse than Cross Culture; just a little spicier. They also dont provide you with crunchy crackers while you wait for your meal like Cross Culture does.

By looking at the great reviews we went there. We went there very hungry. We drove 30 minutes to get there. We didnt like a single item from their buffet. I wanted to rate it zero but couldnt. Food was horrible. One of the item was super salty. Not worth at all. Will never go back to this restaurant.

I travel 100% and eat at restaurants all over the world. The attention to detail in their cooking enhances flavor already out of this world. I will be eating here anytime Im near Princeton. Absolutely delicious. Wonderfully friendly staff. Impeccably clean restaurant with close parking.

Tried weekday buffet. Good selection - both vegetarian and non-vegeterian options. Service at the table is prompt. The place was full which is not surprising because of proximity to college road and BMY campus. Dessert selection was underwhelming with below par gulab jamun.

Its worth a visit just to sample the chai that is brought to your table, hot, in a glass decanter accompanied by a tiny pitcher of warm milk to be mixed in. And Jhipri must have the best naans, garlic or onion, with crispy edges and soft, chewy, interiors.

The food was good, I can tell you that. It was a combination of savory and addicting. The big problem was very expensive, but gave good customer device and was very fancy. Will come here again, and if you come here, you absolutely must try malai kofta

Had Sunday lunch buffet. Lots of options for both veg as well as non veg items. All the buffet items tasted amazing! Desserts were great and not too much sweet which was nice. Upscale interiors. Wasnt that crowded at around 12:30 pm.

This restaurant is located in nice locality. It has very few good dishes to try. Good thing about this place is BYOB (Bring your own Bottle). Make sure you call them in advance and check whether AC is working or not.

I think this place has very good food quality. It is definitely a good choice. The service is also great. The only reason I didnt put a 5 is because it did knock me off my feet; although, I really like this place.

Not meant for Indians as target customers, restaurant owners like this one should spend some time living in India. Spicy doesnt mean raw green chillies and dish sprinkled with red pepper. Get your food IQ straight.
