12/10/2016 Saturday. One of the most horrible Indian food experience we ever had. I hate to give even one star. We asked the waiter if they are open or not, as usual the answer is yes. After we settled down there are hardly 4 dishes filled out of 8 in total. Yes you heard me correct they have only 8 and they are calling it a buffet. Their salty lamb curry is awful. The most funny part is they have 12 pieces in the serving containers. I was surprised to see the few and asked the waiter about it, as usual he said they are preparing the curry still. So I asked him if its is leftover from past days, he remained silent. Waiter said biryani will be served but during our 30 minutes stay we havent got. We asked for second naan, I think he forget to get it because he is busy serving the empty restaurant. No one is there, we are the only one in the restaurant from 12:00 to 12:40. This should answer why this restaurant is awful. We have decided to never ever visit this place. Sorry to be rude but I am pi---d of-, Saturday leisure lunch is ruined.

We had our daughter’s engagement dinner in the Jaipur hall and it was beautiful. Ranjeet, the manager was so helpful in making the event special from the day we walked till the day of the event. We got to pick out the table cloths & napkin color of our choice at no extra cost. The room is beautiful, food delicious and freshly made. There was a staff just for our event refilling food, clearing the dirty plates, she even cut our cake and packed the extra food for us in little containers. The Chef, Kumar is amazing. Every dish is very tasty. Food is like home cooked south Indian food and our guests could not stop giving compliments about the food, the hall and the service. We will recommend Crown of India to all our friends and it will definitely be our first stop for any future events in our family.

What is it with this mall? Both restaurants have mediocre overall ratings, but if you look all the 1* reviews are fake. Are they having an online war or something? If so, shame on both of them, or if it is people who dont like foreigners, then I feel sorry for both of them. Anyway, most of the food is expensive, so we just tried the South Indian dishes, they were $5 and they were GREAT! We liked the Dosa best. So we went back for it, but we happened to be there at lunch on a Sunday, and the buffet was AMAZING. There should be people coming to it from all over Princeton. Really, I have lived in the UK for 14 years and Ive spent a month in India, this is great food. (And I do reviews all the time, not just one or two to play some local game.) The dosas would be 4*, but the buffet is 5*.

One of worst dinner i had in my life, the food was worst than street food in India. My order consists of : 1 Chicken Biryani, Shrimp Masala, Chicken tandoori, 3 Nans. One of the worst one was Chicken Biryani which was ordered after seeing in menu(which has only one type of biryani), i questioned the restaurant owner/employee is this how the biryani is made here, he replied that there are other flavour in the menu the one you choose is of this flavour, i have verified that there was only one biryani item mentioned in the menu, by this we understand that he was lying to customers, he knows that Biryani and other food quality was not good. I will surely file a complaint against the restaurant if i have an option.

Terrible experience !!!! Went to dinner with another couple, the waiter placed the dinner dish on the wine opener, we had to open the wine bottle ourselves, I ordered chicken mild, breast only and another person ordered it meduin the chicken was dark meat the sauces were both mild the sauce was cold and runny. We ordered raita sauce asked for it twice never got it i sent back my chicken dish asking for it to be chicken breast they said they can do it but it will take 20 minutes , everyone else had their food and i didnt want them to eat cold food so I never had dinner i just came home and made myself some scrambled eggs. they didnt seem to care. We will never go back there and will never recommend it.

First of all @Joanna Bryson... this is not a fake review. I think you are the only fake here for giving 5 stars to a place like this. To others: do not go here. If you call in and place order they will always give you an unrealistic time and then keep you waiting for additional 20 mins. If you call and order for delivery there d*mned driver is almost always not in. How do they have the audacity to run a business like this is beyond me. Perhaps they are confident of the fact there are hundreds of Indians in the surrounding apartment complexes who dont have cars so will go to this establishment no matter what. I hope these guys go out of business.

About 15 years ago this was a decent place to eat. Since then it was taken over by some different people, they raised the prices and introduced creepiness. The food is your standard indian fare. The buffet okay, but over priced. The one waiter is okay, the manager and his imp are really neaderthal level. Just bad people who are lazy. Just want to have a job where they can get high and harass women. The whole town of Plainsboro has really gone down hill. What corruption brings. It used to be people owned a restaurant because they had talent and liked people, now they think its a way to make money without having to work.

I have never had such a horrible food anywhere in the US or in the Globe. Just ask for their chicken biryani, and you are bound to vomit if you eat 2 spoons of it. Could be an alternative for stomach upsetting pills. The waiter changed it for a dal tadka, and that was horrible too. I made it a point to leave the place instantly. I thought of trying dal tadka only when the waiter said that the cook is a punjabi, and he cant do well with biryanis. The cook will spoil the name of punjabi if he continues doing this. His dal tadka would come first from the worst list. Crown of India, is indeed shattering our image.

Check the people that are reviewing. Most of the Indians are giving it poor reviews, and for good reason. This is the closest Indian restaurant to our apartment and yet weve only eaten here once. The food here is absolutely atrocious and the service is incompetant. For my money, I drive an extra five minutes towards Route 1 and eat at Indian Hut. The decor there is not so great, but the food is so good that people come over to our place JUST to eat out there. They have no real interest in visiting with us, they just want the delicious food at Indian Hut.

We have eaten here a number of times over the last eight years and have always enjoyed the high-quality food, the wide selection, and the friendly staff and management. We sometimes get takeout and sometimes eat there. They have updated and remodelled in the last couple of years. We have also had a private party in their banquet rooms. Count is as big fans! p.s Weve never had a problem with the air conditioning in eight years. I have no idea what that other reviewer is talking about.
