I would never go to the restaurant again. Our waitress (whose name I remember but I will not write on here) was the worst waitress of all time. It was actually comical how bad she was. First she got the drinks wrong, could not remembered who ordered what. Then she dumped a WHOLE full of water all over my father. Literally so bad that they had to get a mopped to clean up the floor.The manager asked if my father was okay but that was it. They did not comp his meal. I think they might have comp him 1 beer but i cannot tell for sure because the waitress screwed up so much that she had remove beers a couple times because its not what we ordered. We sat down at 8 and didnt eat our dinner until 10 at night. We had to tell her twice after getting the appetizers that we were ready for our meal. It was so bad that she would actually argue back what we had order. One of the guys at our table ordered onion soup and got beer cheese and when he told the waitress she said no you ordered this, hes like no i didnt, she goes yes you did and just to make things easy he just stuck with the beer cheese soup. The same situation happened with my friends beer. He was pointing at the menu to say this is what I ordered and this is not what you gave me. I dont only blame the waitress for our terrible experience but the management really should have stepped up and tried to fix the situation. Its unfortunate that that the service was so bad because the food was good (although it was very much over priced) We asked a bartender if this was her first night and he shamefully said no, it wasnt. I will never go to this restaurant again nor recommend it anyone.

Ive been to Gaslight about 5 times since Ive been living in the area. I never had HORRIBLE experiences until last time, even though I never thought the service was excellent. I went with a group of 6 friends, we were going to watch the football game and have lunch at 12:30. They open at 12:30 and we got there at exactly 12:30 and the people inside saw us but didnt let us in until 12:50. The waiter tried to seat all of us at this tiny circular high table with only 4 chairs originally and we had to ask if we could sit at a larger table, obviously. Then he proceeded to say "you all have to eat," which we were planning on doing in the first place! All of us ordered large meals that were >20$ each but he was rude anyway. There was no one else at the seated area so we asked if a specific game could be played on one of their 4 TVs and they said NO because it was already playing at the bar. NO ONE ELSE WAS THERE and NO ONE was watching any of the other 4 TVs! So some of us had to stand up and go to the bar between our meals to watch the giants game!! Even the owner said NO! Then our waiter proceeded to peer over our table the entire time we were eating and finishing our meals, even though we were trying to take our time and enjoy ourselves. He came back about 7 times to ask if we were finished and the last time we finally said "Were nowhere near done and you dont have to keep coming back every 30 seconds," at which point he sent the bus boy over every minute to check. Oh, and to top it all off, my small side of fries to my meal was 7 bucks. I am never going there again.

I give this place two stars because the service was awful. We walked in during lunchtime on a weekend - the place wasnt very crowded - and despite a few staff members noticing that we were there, it was several minutes before anyone talked to us. After we were seated, it took a while for anyone to come over to take our order (I even went over to the bar to ask the bartender if we were supposed to order at the bar, and he said "nah, your guy will be over soon"). It was nearly ten more minutes before anyone came over. During the meal, our server asked me if Id like a refill on my iced tea... I said yes, and I had another refill later. When the bill came, I discovered hed charged me for three iced teas, despite 1) not informing me that there was a charge for refills and 2) nothing on the menu indicated there was a charge for refills. I informed the manager and requested that the additional charges be removed, but he rudely said there was nothing they could do. Its too bad, because they have a good variety of beers and the homemade items (pickles, hot sauce) are tasty... but based on the service, I wont be going back. The food is also quite expensive - perhaps $14 or $15 for a wrap & fries - not really an inexpensive meal, and for those prices the customers deserve far better service.

Ive been to plenty of bars, all around the U.S. and none have ever made me feel so unwelcome. It was about 5:30 pm and I just came in from the train station after work. I headed to the Gaslight which was pretty empty and there were two bar tenders on staff. A slightly tall man with a long ponytail and and old man with a ponytail and glasses. Both were standing around aimlessly watching a t.v. behind the bar. I asked them what was on tap and both replied with a short tempered "Youre just gonna have to wait a minute!" I was taken back because I just arrived and thought maybe theyre confusing me with a customer that annoyed them. I sat at this little table near the bar, and the place was still barren with only 5 customers in the entire establishment. I waited 30 mins before a server asked if I need help and I told them I asked the bartender a question about the beers but received no word about what they have from them. At this point I was so annoyed that when the server told the bartender Id been waiting he pretended like he didnt know I asked him a question a while ago. He finally asks what Ill be having and I looked him in the face then left silently.

horrible... i walked in with my family and i should have been alerterd by the musty smell and the dust on all of the decor but we decided to go in anyway. so we go in...its dead..warning 2.. we ordered anyway... the service from the waiter was fine and he seamed like he was doing all he could... warning3 when i asked for a sample of thier draft and the waiter said "the owner said i could not have a sample and if i want to try it i would have to buy the bottle and if i didnt like it I would have to pay for it anyway"... (weird since this selection was listed inder drafts)... so on goes the experience ..my child spills his seltzer and the waiter says we would have to pay 2$ for another one... now I am livid... we walk out on our way out the mangager says dont come back.. i say i was not ever planning on it.. the owners...rude!!! lazy!!! and no social or hospitality skills!!! no wonder they were empty and had a help wanted sign for almost every position... i feel bad for their employees...and their customers .. this place is horrible!!!
