This is a staple in New Brunswick. If youre deciding to try it out or not, you should go on a quieter day for sure. Sometimes youll see a parent and college-age kid together and the parent went to RU and hung out at Stuff, and theyre there with their kid, which is pretty cool. The place definitely has been part of the RU experience for decades. I highly recommend a their famous bolis (firemans boli especially!). Also the potachoes are bangin. The fishbowls are also pretty on point, though plan on getting a ride home. The 3 stars are for the experience overall and as compared to the other places in the area. If youre not on a stroll down memory lane, there are better options (especially on the busy weekend nights). The wait for a table or even getting to the bar on a busy night is the worst. If youre just looking for a decent place to get a brew, Mikes Courtside Tavern a few blocks away is good, so is Destination Dogs (though that too can get pretty busy). Forget about coming here and catching up with friends on one of those busy nights, the place is too loud and the experience too harried. The bathroom is also tiny, and you probably dont want to use it later in the evening.

If I were to go attend a college...for their offered food, I would definitely go to Rutgers. How incredibly lucky they are to have this place near them! I loved the feel of the place and how chill everyone is. Can there be a motto better than, "Get stuffed..." ?! The area around Rutgers seems to be such a beautiful one! Such a college town, it reminded me a bit of Boston..strange!!! Myself some friends definitely had a good time over our fresh strombolis. It brought me back to our college days! Before this Ive actually never eaten one, so I have been definitely missing out. I really enjoyed having a crispy pizza dough wrap rather than the traditional soggy ones. Although, I regret not ordering another sauce since the tomato sauce was more watery tomato juice than anything. Other than that I couldnt stop eating it!!! As for the fishbowl, I thought it was an amazing idea -- I had a bit too much fun with the extremely long straws. I cant imagine finishing the whole cup though.. 60 ounces of crazy! Thats why they limit one per person, Im assuming. We had the Horny Hawaiian and it tasted more like pineapple juice! Very fruity, but dont underestimate rum!

I am almost embarrassed to say that Stuff Yer Face is one of my familys all time restaurants. Mostly because it is a grungy, dirty, college bar. We even refuse to call it by its full name and lovingly refer to is as "Bolis," for its signature dish- the Stromboli. here you can get a baby boli, regular, or large- which is way more than one person should eat. The baby boli is the best deal because for the same price as the regular, you get a soup or salad to start. They have pages full of pre-determined combinations of veggies, meat, and cheese or you can completely customize your boli. I go for eggplant with broccoli, ricotta, spinach, and honey mustard- sounds odd but its divine. This places is perfect for a super casual, cheap meal. they ahve a bunch of tvs that are always tuned to sports games. At night, it turns into a college bar with cheep beers and an outdoor patio to relax at. Not enticed yet? This is where Mario Batali got his start.

The bolis, potachos, pierogies, sandwiches, pizza-- everything here is excellent. You always hear about the grease trucks, but if you told me its your first time visiting Rutgers Id tell you to go to Stuff Yer Face and grab a beer and a boli instead. The bolis are fresh and homemade. Really good dough, really good ingredients. Never met anyone who didnt love a boli from SYF. The potachos are fresh, home-made potato chips topped with bacon, onion, sour cream, ketchup, etc. Way better than nachos. They also have great pierogies topped with bacon and fried onion, and their sandwiches and pizza are all good, though its pretty tough to pass up a boli and order these. In addition to the food, they have a pretty decent selection of craft beer on tap, always with a few local Jersey breweries. And they have a pretty expansive selection of craft brews in the fridges.

I guess people go here for the scene... And its a good meetup place. But... It was a long wait time for food... Id already finished my soda long before the food was brought. They did leave us with a pitcher of water, which is good. I ordered nachos, and they served it on a plate on top of a metal plate (to keep the heat?), but the nachos honestly got cold pretty quick. I wish the nachos had more melted cheese; the chips were cooked thoroughly and the cheese was bits of shredded pieces. I did like how they chopped up the jalapenos thoroughly. It was really a tight squeeze for our group of five, but it was a cool atmosphere. They had a dartboard right next to the bar.

Should have come here a lot sooner. You get a lot of food for your money - I only ordered the large boli and didnt even miss not getting the huge. The ingredients are very fresh. It takes a little while to get your food but thats because its made from scratch, and because you can taste it, I dont mind the wait. (Only downsides: didnt really taste a tangy tomato sauce like I was expecting, and MAYBE the crust should have been browner. Thats really nitpicking.) Also a _very_ nice beer selection, including an 8% Flying Fish on tap. 4.5 stars, and a place I definitely want to come back to. Quite probably the best bar in New Brunswick.

This place is for all ages. Best bolis hands down. I usually get the regular boli and my gf gets the baby boli, which is half a boli and your choice of salad or french onion soup (both are great! get the buttercream ranch dressing). The beer selection is good too (for some reason their yuengling on tap tastes best here). I have fun every time I come here. There is an outdoor area plus darts to play inside. This place can get kinda crowded if theres a football game or if theres a big Rutgers event.

There is not 0 star option so have to pick 1 star to write this review. Horrible service. Place is good, drinks were good but horrible security guys. They were touching girls while ID check. I saw security guy(bald, 6 feet tall, horribly ugly looking guy) throwing beer on customers face and grabbing them by collar and neck and pushing them which could result into life threatening serious injury or permanent damage. Go at your own risk. Management should take notice of this. This is unacceptable.

TL;DR Standard college fare - it does not disappoint! As a Rutgers Alum, I have continued to frequent this establishment whenever I have a hankering for collegetown style food. The strombolis, potachos, and other appetizers never leave me disappointed and the selection of beer is surprisingly expansive for a college food/bar. Over time, the quality or taste has not deviated. My recommendation? A large Man vs Food Boli and a Trappiste beer of your choice.
