Edit: Upped to 4 stars - we had a flawless brunch last week! An imperfect experience, but I have hopes for this place. The ambiance and decor are really lovely, and the wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of attention to detail with the dishware and glasses, with each drink coming in its own special glass. Cocktails were great - my favorite was the Cats Pajamas, which has a delectable charred cinnamon aroma you could smell from across the room. The food needed a few tweaks. Crab sliders were desperate for some sauce and larger, crunchier veggies. Pot roast sliders came on a potato roll that overwhelmed the sandwich - we ended up just eating the innards. The wild mushrooms were very tasty, and the scallops were the star. If you only get one thing, make it the scallops - the bacon jam is out of this world! We also got the waffle ice cream dessert, which took over 20 minutes to come out. Wait staff was very apologetic and comped it on our bill. (It was tasty!) The wait staff deserves props for being on top of their game. I would come back just to try more of their drinks. I am hoping they iron out the kinks with the food - this is the kind of place NB needs. (Did I mention the scallops? Get the scallops.)

We got there just before 8 on a Thursday and I was shocked to find the place was nearly empty, the staff outnumbered the customers at least 2 to one. We sat down at the bar and ordered cocktails and had the duck spring rolls which were tasty, but nothing special. The cocktails were good, and the bar tender was very friendly and knowledgeable answering all of our questions and providing suggestions. Things started to pick up as we were leaving around 9, but still not as crowded as I was expecting it would be. The thing that I found oddest was that the music did not really suit the rest of the ambiance, it had a much more modern feel and I was expecting something a little classier sounding more reminiscent of the 1920s and 1930s.

We came here to get a few drinks here on a Sunday during brunch. Probably not the best decision as it was packed! There were 6 of us seated at a community style table with a few other people and needless to say, it wasnt quite comfortable with having to hold winter jackets, purses, etc. The crowd was your late 20s early 30s hip type. The kind of crowd that still rages every Saturday night and needs a little hair of the dog the next day. Weve all been there... There was a DJ playing loud music so it was a little hard to hear each other say "lets go somewhere else. " Since we didnt manage to get drinks, Id try again on a different day of the week for sure.

Really cool bar in the heart of downtown New Brunswick. Inside was really cool but very hipster ish. Bartenders all had beards and flannel shirts. The place was just awesome, so different than other places in new brunswick. The drinks I had were: Flannel Shirt - Scotch drink with apple cider Bamboozled - A sherry drink served in a Panda I will honestly say I ordered the Bamboozled because I wanted the ceramic panda it was served in(didnt end up taking it). The Flannel shirt was delicious but Bamboozled was way too sweet for my liking. Drinks were fairly priced and overall I really enjoyed this bar. Will definitely be going back.

I brought a lot of customers here on two separate occasions, once for a Happy Hour work function I organized (successful), and once for a friends event. For the latter event, the Dillinger Room overbooked the restaurant, which is not surprising for a Saturday, but a manager misled me during the planning process, was disrespectful to me, and part of the event was disrupted by heckling from a nearby table. In the future, Ill be bringing my thirsty associates elsewhere. Good ambience and good food (love those pot roasy sliders), so two stars

I am sorry to say, that i was really disappointed. Tap water in bottles ? It actually smelled, Fries soggy, cheese platter...seriously try some original cheeses. The scallops were very good. I think what bothered me most is that they grouped Whiskey and Bourbon and Rye together under whisky. There was no way to know what proof or yr the brand was, that may sound like nit picking but if you hold yourself out as a cocktail place stay on the the details. Yes I have been to Pour in Nashville...a bourbon Joint!!!

Excellent food and atmosphere. The duck spring rolls were probably the tastiest spring rolls Ive ever had. The proportions of lettuce to fruit/nuts/cheese in the salad was on point (most places seem to go too heavy on the lettuce). Pork ribs were delicious without being overly sauced. The crab cake sliders were perhaps the least exciting part, still good but seemed like they were missing something. We finished with the churro waffle, which did take a while to come out but was fantastic.

The vibe hints at the speakeasy feel they are reminiscing on but stays in this century. A commitment to the craft of the cocktail with clever names and tastes that dont disappoint it is at the to of the list to meet friends for a drink. Opting for more small plates feel on the dining side can be hit it miss depending on the food experience you rent to have and hour hunger you are but they do come up with clever and intriguing offers and breakdowns of pub favorites and wildcards.

This Place is my favorite place in New Brunswick. Hipster vibe with talented mixologists. They know what theyre doing here and the drinks are very unique. For example, mezcal, pineapple, jalapeño, honey, and lime. Yeah, good stuff here. Drinks are definitely pricey averaging $11 a drink but there is more effort put into these than your average bar. Food is also really good. Its dressed up bar food. For example lollipop wings with peanut butter sauce. So good!

The floor was sticky, my table wobbled like crazy, service was very slow. I over heard a server complain to another table that they were too slammed for a Wednesday night. Slammed or not, they brought the wrong food to my table and as we were leaving they tried to give us someone elses credit card! On a positive, the menu was interesting, the food was good and happy hour prices were fair.

Great place all around. Its a more expensive then most places around New Brunswick, but worth the money for sure! The drink and food menu is always changing with the seasons, so youre always able to have something new. The cocktails certainly take center, each one is very good so be sure to order out of the box, even if you have no clue what any of the ingredients are.

Great food and drinks yet again. Tried the fried chicken, salad, and punch. My favorite was definitely the salad, it was fresh and had all the right ingredients for a summer salad. Ive had the fried chicken before and loved it, but this time around it seemed different from when I had it last... But still great nonetheless! Will definitely be returning again soon.

Limited expensive food menu (no salad, few veggies). The fried chicken sandwich is really a slider (for 9 bucks!). Weird hard dip for French fries--could not really dip the fries on it. Liquor menu is also limited (no. Cointreau, no Dewars). No bread and butter last night (what?!?) the service was also very slow.
