Used to eat here several years ago and it was absolutely one of the best seafood/sushi places. I moved away and back again, and I dont know what happened to this place... did it change management? The food is horrible. The sushi tastes like the low quality sushi prepared in chinese take-out places. The rice of the sushi is not even properly prepared sushi rice. the fish... what fish? all they had were crappy rolls with cucumber... beef... some tuna (typical), some salmon, and combinations of any of the above (tuna/salmon, salmon/cucumber, tuna/cucumber/salmon, cucumber/tuna) every person i talked to has the same opinion... not the same as it used to. they are definitely cutting costs. until i hear any better reviews from people that have been there before i will not be back. ah! and those little flies, yes, they are flying around the sushi and no one cares. disgusting.

Ive been to the Minado locations in Little Ferry, NJ and East Noriton, PA. This may be the nicest one in terms of decor. As far as food goes, Minado is one of my favorite places to eat, and this location hasnt changed that. It isnt cheap but if you like to eat a lot of sushi, this is a great deal. There are lots of different options on the buffet and there is a selection of hand rolls you can ask the chefs to make for you. The more expensive dinner buffet has crab legs, oysters, sashimi, and at least one extra hand roll option. The hot cooked food is not why I go here but I usually have at least some since its part of the buffet. Ive never had a complaint about it. I usually skip the desserts they have out but Ill always get a small cup of green tea ice cream from their soft serve machine. Overall, this is one of my favorite places to treat myself.

Mindado is a fantastic asian buffet with a staggering selection of food available. The price is a bit high, probably because they need to recuperate costs from how much people eat, but the food is solid. The cold noodle salads and veggie salads are incredible and I almost didn’t move on from them. The sushi is also awesome and the range is pretty great, probably 2-3 dozen different types at the buffet. The hot food is good too, but not that outstanding compared with the salads and sushi. Service is also pretty good for a buffet and actually checked in on us a bunch of times. The beer menu isn’t huge, but has a few good asian beers that go well with the menu. The seafood is excellent too. There is even soft serve ice cream, including green tea flavored.

Japanese Buffet. This is the standard special dinner place for my family because of the price (~$32 per person). The variety is very good -- non-sushi dishes (chicken teriaki, etc.), sushi/sashimi, a small hibatchi meat section, soup, udon noodles, mini dessert cakes, ice cream. The flavor is very good for a buffet. (I would consider it good, but not exceptional if it were not a buffet.) The main caveat is that the selection does not change much over time, so after 5-10 years, weve become tired of the place, even though we only go there a few times a year. The food is Fantastic - so much to choose from, lots of Sushi included in the buffet, all you can eat! You have to try a little of everything :-) You will not leave hungry thats for sure, you really get your Moneys worth - Nice family place, Have a family party or just a quiet couples place, beer and wine is available. Clean restrooms - which is important and impresses me. I am letting my co-workers, family and friends know about this place ! Love it!!

This place came highly recommended to us by multiple people. We were terribly disappointed. We spit out about one of every 4-5 pieces of sushi because it was bad. The food was terrible and there was three different types of bugs flying aournd my food, a fly, a nat and a really odd round fly looking thing. Nasty!!! I went to the hibachi table hoping it wold save my meal but they closed it a little after 8PM without warning. I recently met with a person who recommended it to me and she went there recently she said now that it is really terrible and it used to be good. Oh well lesson learned.

This is a buffet restaurant so we entered at 7:50pm to have a dinner. We started to eat and by the time I got up to go get second plate of food at 8:10pm they started cleaning up the food. Sushi makers were spraying with the water hose and cleaning up the counters. We complaint to the manager and told us that we have a temper and we were very offended. They charged us for a full meal and just eating for 20min at a buffet restaurant we paid over $130 for our family and left the restaurant. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND this restaurant unless you want to get ripped off..

Its a fraud. Very expensive for nothing. 20$ lunch buffet for rubbish!. Everything is fried. They killed the good sushi with tons of fatty sauces on it. Most of the buffet is just salads. I struggled finding meats. They had three dishes of cheap fish whites but different tasteless flavors. Any below average Chinese buffet wouldve been better than this. I feel very cheated for my money and very disappointed. Never coming back.

I love Minado chain. I used to go to one in Pennsylvania a lot, when I was in the area, and was very happy to find one not too far away in NJ as well. Sushi is very good quality here. Not sushi-restaurant quality, of course, but then again, its not what you are paying for. During dinner, there are crab legs, which people seem to love. Personally, I go for the sushi, salads, and hot food.

Two word!! LOVE IT!! Yes, there are sushi joints that are better but the price is right and the sushi taste great. One of my go to places! They do charge a $20 uncorking fee...PER BOTTLE!! Liquor is available there but that $20 is a bit steep. I go there mostly for lunch so not a big deal. So it I do recommend this place if you are a lover of sushi.

This was the first time visiting this Minato Restaurant at Morris Plains. Ive been to the Little Ferry location many times before. I actually liked this location better. The Morris Plains location was cleaner and newer. The food was exactly the same as Little Ferry and the price was the same. They both have a good variety of food and the food was fresh.

Always a Fresh Assortment of Delicious Salads, with Healthy Ingredients such as Eggplant, Tofu, String beans & Zucchini. But, the Star is Unlimited Sushi!! My GoTo place when Sushi calls. My kids love it too! Desserts are Fruit & Large selection of Awesome Cakes & Cookies! They also offer soft serve Vanilla & Green Tea ice cream! Yum!

This place is delicious! I went here for my birthday and the restaurant was very accommodating to my group of 15. I made an early reservation and the table was ready when I got there. The place had more than just sushi. There was a variety of other dishes that were equally tasty but the main reason to dine here is for the sushi.
