After reading other review I was expecting a great meal. Not so. Maybe we came on an off night, but...it is the worse meal at a sushi restaurant that I have ever had. The Ginger swordfish was dry hard as a rock, extremely fishy and salty ( a woman at a table across from us stopped by our table and said she had the same complaints!). The waitress said they would fire us a new one but 20 minutes later came back to the table and said again...would you like a new one. We had also ordered 3 sushi rolls which were brought to our table over 1 hour after we got there. By the time the sushi got there it was time to leave, if we wanted to make the performance we were attending. We tried to gobble down at least a sampling, which was difficult due to the fact that the rolls were so poorly made that they fell apart before you could grasp them with your chopstick! Nothing was done to try and make this experience anymore palatable for us. It was a waste of $60+.

RUN!!!! My wife, her girlfriend and I went here Sunday at 7:00pm. We ordered 4 sushi rolls in total. We saw our waitress ONCE when we came in and ONCE when she delivered the rolls. Never again. We waited for an hour... Sushi wasnt good (we got sick later that night) and the portions were the smallest in town (compared to Aroy Dee and Siam Thai) The best part is the restaurant was "packed" with 3 other customers... who were seated AFTER we ordered but still received their sushi before us and finished eating before we were waited on. They must have forgotten that anyone was in the restaurant since theyre not used to customers... With an experience like ours, I wonder why?... Siam Thai Sushi is so much better and well worth the short walk, a block and a half away, from this dump. Spend your hard earned money somewhere else. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!

Quick service, pleasant staff, and most of the food was great -- a few sushi rolls, clear soup, salad, fried rice, and noodles were all quite good. A nice environment with two hibachi tables and then a chic little sushi bar area. Sadly the hibachi filet mignon was so over-seasoned with soy sauce that I had to drink water after each bite to get the overwhelming soy sauce out of my mouth. A pretty big disappointment after such good food leading up to it. The waitress asked how the food was, and I mentioned all of this, but she shrugged it off and it went no further. Overall though, a nice place and I suspect that the chef was just having an off-day. Would certainly try again someday.

I have eaten at all the local hibachi places and I think mikado is the best. The portions are the biggest out of all the local hibachi sushi restaurants and the food is great. The only drawback is that it is quite small so sometimes There is a long wait to sit at the hibachi table and the sushi bar is small as well. The last time I went I took my children and not only did they love the food but they had a blast and we had enough leftovers to enjoy the food again. All sushi restaurants can get a bit pricey and this one us no exception but again, it's not just dinner it's an experience as well.

Me and my husband love coming to Mikado! The sushi is the best we have ever had, and we used to live in New York. The closest that has ever come to Dannys sushi was this guy in Hawaii, but Mikado is much closer! LOL Service is fantastic - the waitstaff genuinely care and remember what we like from the last time we were in. Server Matt is a ball of energy and I love the personal attention he tries to give. Some other reviewers might have problems with people with personality, but I find him refreshing (especially for this area). You wont be sorry when you eat here and have the best dinner ever!!!!

Consistently delicious food. Tempura is always crispy on the outside with cooked meat or veggies on the inside. The Hibachi is... well all of it is always great. And the sushi is easily the best in the area. Note: all of their food can be done as take out and its just as good at home as it is in the restaurant. Highly recommend

Very good food, both the boxed menu and the sushi, friendly personel, goooood prices. The 1 person sushi looked almost too beautiful to eat. And everything freshhh! try the japanese beer, pretty good.
