This used to be one of our favorite spots for americanized sushi in the area, as they had a great selection, reasonable prices, and normally great service. Our last two visits have been horrible, however, and I doubt we will be back again with so many other food options. On our most recent visit, we were seated on the second floor, despite several open tables on the first floor and what appeared to be numerous wait stuff. On the second floor, they had two waiters handling around 12 tables, including a large part of around 15 people. After being seated, we didnt see any wait staff for 20 minutes. When they showed up, my wife and I ordered two rolls each, no drinks or appetizers, and then proceeded to sit for 50 more minutes while we waited for our sushi to arrive. During those 50 minutes, the wait staff checked on us once. I understand manning issues, call outs, etc, but this experience was similar to our previous visit. The rolls were fine, but the service ruined the experience. My wife and I only get time away from the kids about once a month, and when our night is drawn out because of small issues like this, it really ruins the overall vibe of the night. If you plan on making a visit, Id recommended going during lunch hours when the crowd is much smaller and the staff can handle the workload.

Its very hard to find really good sushi. Ive been around the state, have tried Sake in Portsmouth which is good but not as good as Domo and Ikko in Dover. I would Domo and Ikko to this day is by far the best sushi Ive ever had. By far Domo beats Ikko in the presentation department. Beautifully done and well executed. The sashimi and the fish is definitely fresh. I would go there early afternoon as I find the fish to be very fresh and the display seemed more beautiful than when we went during busy hours. Now one thing I can say about Domo & Ikko is that Ikko has a slightly better rice. Its tad bit more plump with Ikko so perhaps if the owner(s) at Domo is reading this then I would definitely consider improving that area. Sushi rice alone is an art itself as I grew up around eating sushi. In either case, the staff is friendly, there are first & second floor (big) and of course theres a clean bathroom. Highly recommended place for excellent sushi!

The food was absolutely delicious... When we finally got it. Had to ask 3 times over 25 minutes just for a ginger ale. Good thing we ordered our food and drinks at once because Lord knows how long we wouldve waited. And I felt bad for the party of 4 behind us, we were there about an hour and a half total and they arrived probably 10 min after we arrived and they didnt even have food on the table by the time we left.

The sushi is very good. Fresh, flavorful, artistic. There are two sushi bars with the 4 table dining room in the front room of a very old building. Two fireplaces, minimalist decor, attentive service. Theres a beautiful sink in the bathroom. Highly recommend!
