This is not an authentic Indian Restaurant .. Might be I can say that this is North indian ( Gujarathi ) restaurant .. Every curry has sugar added, so if you seriously like pure indian food .. then dont expect much from this. Every Item is westrenised .. Of course price is 11 dollors and there are so many items but all are mistified (sugar added as per bengali language). I am seriously disappointed with the sweetened curries .. in other words irritated. This restaurant is only for americans and gujjus, bengalis and not for south indian people. Hopefully atleast if they can introduce one curry with no sugar .. then this can be a top restaurant as every thing else is good. Try ur luck .. I told what ever I felt .. I had to eat some chips to refresh my mouth after eating this sweet crap, Ofcourse innocent americans were enjoying this as they dont know the original taste of our indian curries and some indians were searching for spicy stuff and left the place disappointed. Not but not least - very less salt/chilly in all the items - no salt/pepper on the table.

HATED IT Like HELL! I have visited this Restaurant with my friends on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 PM for buffet, the food was not at all good and the Management was very rude to us. We have traveled all the way down from Jersey City to Morrisplains after seeing reviews in social website but the story is completely different in the restaurant. The Management wanted us to leave they dint even give us time to finish our food and we requested them for 10 more minutes which they havent given us and we said that we wont be visiting this place again and the Management reply was " With pleasure we dont need you back here". He was yelling so hard at us that we were shocked. This isnt the way a management should respond to the customers right? Every aspect of this place has disappointed us. The food, the management, the service etc. Also, we wanted separate bills which they dint provide us and the bill given here is not an e-bill, just give a Handwritten bill. I wouldnt recommend any one going to this restaurant- a place were customer isnt treated well.

Cinnamon is one of my favorite Indian Restaurants in NJ, and the NY area for the matter. Its very clean with a orange-y interior(nothing show-offy) .The food and service, where it counts is excellent. I usually go for buffet for lunch(they have weekend ones too!) and the food selection is top notch with a variety of food for nearly every taste and diet. Buffet usually includes- Tandoori, Tikka, Chicken Tikka Massala, Goat Curry of the Day,Lamb Curry of the day, Chicken Curry of the Day, 4 different vegetarian curries, 2-3 desserts, salads, a selection of Pakoras, 2 biryanis, rice, and of course Naan. Weekdays this is 9.95, and Friday-Sun its 10.95, and Dinner Buffet is 15.95(Even MORE food) . The al-a-carte there is exceptional, as the chef will make the food to different levels of Spiciness. He has even made food not in the menu(Goat Dhansak, but I called in advance!). The regular menu is not cheap, but is still worthwhile.

The place is nice but the food tastes terrible. I ordered chicken tikka masala and it was the worst tikka dish Ive ever had. It was overflowed with ginger, which tastes bad. Moreover, the tikka had small hard "rock"-like things in it -- as I chewed, a few time I felt my teeth come down on these tiny "rocks", which was painful. My wife also told me her stomach is now hurting after having only a few spoons of her saag paneer dish (she said the dish is the most terrible saag paneer shes tried). The garlic naan bread was the only thing that was somewhat ok. I dont know how this place got so many good reviews, most of them must be fake. Dont waste your money or ruin your night on this place. My wife and I have just thrown out the rest of the food we ordered and are now getting ready to make sandwiches :( This place ruined our dinner night.

I just ordered dinner from this restaurant and am very disappointed. I ordered from this restaurant because of the excellent reviews. However after my husband Anthony and I ate some of the food we just ordered, were both disgusted and suspect that all of the good reviews are fake. Im Indian and love some of the other restaurants in the area, but the saag paneer from Cinnamon was the worst Ive ever tried. The spices were all wrong and the paneer didnt taste good - the flavor was just awful. I ate a few spoons and now I feel sick. I threw out my dish! My husband ordered chicken tikka masala and felt the same way. We both threw out $40 of dinner - what a waste! If people see this review, trust me its real, and dont let the good ratings fool you.

my first time there was a few weeks back during the lunch buffet ... the food was OK (ive had better, but you should know, the foods OK) but the service is pitiable.. .i dont have words to explain how bad their customer service is. I have a background in the hospitality industry and am familiar with indian cusine in north america and i though theyd be receptive to my suggestions, instead they were rude when i tired to point out a few things very quietly ... they nearly insulted me .... everyone including a lady who said she was their manager and their head indian chef who said he was the owner .... some people think because they have enjoyed success and patronage in the past they deserve it without merit ... i am not going back ...

We have tried a few Indian restaurants in Morris Plains and Parsippany and in my opinion this is definitely the best in terms of bang for the buck. It is very neat, the buffet is much better in terms of variety than other restaurants and it is priced very well. In comparison, we found Saffron to have much less variety and Chand palace to be priced exorbitant (though Chand is completely vegetarian and has an excellent variety). We frequently order take out from here and try the buffet and all in all we find that the quality is pretty reasonable and so is the price. I wouldnt say that the quality of food is mindblowing but pretty reasonable.

The food is reasonable, though very over priced. The desserts are really embarassingly bad. I had ordered a Ras Malai... pretty basic stuff - not too easy to mess up. It was really bad - the ras malai had water mixed with the milk - it is supposed to be a rich milk base. especially in NJ where most restaurants do maintain a basic good quality. The chef who made that pathetic dessert needs to understand people are not idiots to eat water mixed sweets and not know the difference. I will never ever go back to this place and will tell all my contacts not to be fooled by this over priced pathetic Indian food place

My husband loves this place for the buffet lunch, and he has been twisting my arm to go for lunch with him at Cinnamon. I really dont want to change my routine on my day off, and I have been avoiding lunch with him, because I have better things to do. Well, he convinced me to go to the lunch buffet and now I want to go to lunch with him all the time now. The food was really good and all you can eat is my kind of dining. Despite being a buffet lunch, the staff makes sure your glass is always full, and you have everything you need. Thank you Cinnamon, for bringing the romance back into lunchtime!
