This place was awfal from the moment i came in to when i came out. Our first order was calamari so when the waither ordererd my food she threw on the table and a couple of the calamari fell off. Then we discussed the whole shushi order thing because there food ordering method is really weird and confusing. I mean if you go there u will see but i dont recomend going there. There food ordering method is like u check want u want and how much of it u want on this long piese of paper. So we order our appetizer wich was the calamari and some other things. But then it was suchi time. So we were ready to order but we had a fee questions about the susch but sadly they were not ansered becase of waithers barely knee how to speack english. so we ordered like 15 rolls of suschi for five people. Then when we git the suschi every order was messed up. What im trying to say is that this was the worst sushi place ive ever been to

Worst Sushi in central NJ. My wife and I are sushi fans, and we pretty much tried every sushi place in central NJ. This place was a total disappointment. Ive never seen that amount of rice in a sushi meal. The actual fish pieces are paper thin, stale, and dark in color, and the rest is huge rice ball. The hand roll is even worse...a single small piece of fish and the rest is large amount of rice wrapped in seaweed. Even the seaweed salad was slimy and the taste was off. There is no shortage of sushi places in Central Jersey...avoid this place, its a waste of money.

I have no idea how people can be raving about this place. Go to Sushi Palace or Kumo in Somerville and that is great quantity for the price of $23. Our first time here $21 a person, our sushi came out, and the rolls are all half rolls with NO FISH. Every roll was full of the crunchy stuff thats all you tasted. Dry and disgusting. Almost as bad as the service. You say thank you to them and they dont even respond...... by far the worst sushi Ive ever had between the three states Ive lived in Nevada, Texas, and New Jersey. That says a lot...

Reasons to not waste your money at Nakayama Sushi: •Staff is incredibly rude and disrespectful. •Sushi is 95% rice and 5% fish. •Staff watches over you like a hawk if you order all you can eat, was threatened that I would have to pay more when I was caught sharing with my boyfriend. •Place is generally filthy. •All they care about is money, too bad they lost my steady $75+ per month due to the rude staff

The food there is pretty good, but I havent been back after a bout of the worst service Ive ever experienced. Waiting 20 minutes to place my order was bad, waiting another 20 to even get my drink was worse, waiting another 30 for the food to arrive almost put me over the edge, but then finding wasabi stuck to one of the ice cubes in my water sealed it for me. It wasnt even busy! Never again.

I went there tonight with high expectations and was sorely disappointed. I sat at the sushi bar and regretted being that close to the grungy fishtanks. The sushi was ok but I admit I didnt eat much because I was so turned off by the cloudy fishtanks and strange smell. I love sushi and wish the food had been better because I still havent found any good sushi in the area.

I come here with my fiancé all the time and we love it. The all you can eat menu has a lot to choose from, and the sushi is very good. The waitresses are very friendly, and have even let us know in the past that whatever we dont eat, unfortunately get charged, before we actually ordered more food so we knew in advance. Service is always quick, and consistantly tasty.

They have good, solid sushi at fairly cheap prices. Other than that, the rest is fairly standard. I do have one gripe which is that when you order to-go, it takes a fairly long time before you get your food. This is my number one place for good sushi that wont break the bank and I would definitely recommend it.

This deserves 10 stars. Its our absolute favorite place to eat. Delicious selection of fresh food. I would eat here every day if I could. All you can eat option is an amazing bang for your buck. For the price of less than two special sushi rolls at any Other sushi place, here you get a whole meal.

The all you can eat option is great however the food seems to suffer a bit. The staff is great, friendly and helpful. The trade off in price for all you can eat and just "ok" sushi earns Nakayama and OK review.

The all you can eat lunch and dinner is well worth the price. Too much rice with the sushi pieces is my only complaint. Otherwise the staff is always friendly and the atmosphere is fine.
