This place gets absolutely insane on the weekends. The reason? The bagels. Theyre pretty good. Really good, actually. The spreads are pretty wonderful as well. Live a little when youre there, dont just go for plain cream cheese. The lox spread is excellent if youre into that sort of thing, and goes beautifully on an egg or onion bagel (which is my regular order now!). The other varieties are good as well: vegetable, maple walnut, jalepeno, etc. Okay, once you get past the awesome bagels, things get a bit dicey. Customer service? Hit or miss. Owner is nice, and service tends to be pretty spot on when hes in, but when the cats away... One of the adult counter guys is also wonderful, always throws in an extra blueberry mini-muffin when I bring my son in for breakfast because he knows he likes them. The local High Schoolers behind the counter can go anywhere from well-meaning but clueless to sullen and barely competent. Cross your fingers, hope for the best, and make your order CRYSTAL clear. Sandwiches. They look so delicious on the board. The problem? They microwave them. Seriously. Eggs? Microwaved. Breakfast meat? Microwaved. Pizza bagels? Microwaved. I think you get the picture. If you go during the week and want a bagel with a schmear of something, youll probably do well here. If you want anything else, consider yourself warned.

The kids operating behind the counter really take away from how good this place can be. They need some basics in Customer Service. Consider them average bagels (more like rolls with a hole in center) if you know what a great bagels are... Good coffee, great spreads and fresh squeezed OJ are pluses. The excellent part of it is the area for children to draw on wall sized chalk board and mingle. Couch and coffee table with tables and chairs spread through out large space make it an excellent and comfy stop for breakfast with family. Classic rockish music plays lightly for a nice touch.

The bagels are definitely big and fresh, and there is a nice selection. But, a bagel and egg breakfast sandwich is not made with real eggs, but rather the fake microwavable kind. Even Dunkin Donuts is moving past the rubber eggs. Another let down was the consistency of the bagels; soft and doughy without the crisp outer layer. More like a roll than a NYC-style bagel. Overall, it is a decent place and better than many of the alternatives in the area.

This place has the most amazing bagels Ive ever had! The bagels have the perfect crust (is that what its called?) and the inside is soft and almost fluffy. There is a good variety of flavors with an equal variety of cream cheese flavors. Best of all, they are always made fresh in the morning. I highly recommend this establishment: just remember, there are no preservatives so after about a day the bagels start to dry out and get hard.

well my experience today and in the past have been terrible, very unprofessional staff for they insulted me, not good at all for unfortunately there the only bagel shop in town sad to say, AVOID THIS PLACE, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF, THEY EVEN CURSE AND INSULT THEIR CUSTOMERS, WILL NEVER GO BACK AND WILL SPREAD THE WORD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everything was delicious BUT this place needs to empty their huge bucket of cigarette butts, spit, garbage, and whatever other refuse people decide to chuck in which is located directly out front next to Cafe tables. If youre going to own an eatery than you are responsible for keeping up an appetizing appearance inside, as well as the outside.

Agreed, the Jalapeno bagels ARE the best! They DONT stick chopped up jalapeno inside the bagel they put cheese and sliced jalapeno on top! And the Poppy bagels are smothered in poppy seeds. The quality never changes, thats why we always go back. Tried other places but nothing compares to Central Perk bagels.

My family has gone here since its opening and love the bagels, especially with tuna or chicken salad or as breakfast sandwiches. The owner is extremely friendly and we enjoy having such a reliable place near us for delicious bagels (because as anyone from Jersey knows, bagels are life-giving manna).

The jalapeño cheddar bagels are the best I ever had. Definitely to try if you ever stop in. The selections are amazing. You can choose from fruity to savory spreads. My husband and I tried the sandwiches and I would recommend cranberry turkey sandwich.

Bagels arent that good and I ordered a bacon egg and cheese and they cooked everything in the MICROWAVE!!!! Im sorry but what kind of respectable bagel place doesnt have a griddle to cook eggs on? I wouldnt recommend and will never go back.
