GREAT food, GREAT atmosphere, GREAT prices! This is without a doubt the best place I have ever eaten breakfast at, not just in OC, but anywhere. I literally dont like home fries, unless its at the OC Surf Cafe. To be able to cook something I dont like and have me love it, that is something else. Same goes for many other menu items. Shout out to the fluffiest Belgium Waffles around too! My complaints are minor, but if I had to say... the line is awfully long, and they dont let you carry out during peak hours. Which is understandable because of the business, I guess they want to get food out quicker to those with tables. Another slight annoyance is that they are REALLY strict about head count. If you put your name down for a table of 6, you better have 6 people there when they call your name, or youre not going inside! We always stay at the hotel across the street so we usually trickle over, and even if we didnt have our full head count we would still order for them, so in our case its very annoying. We will pay for 6 meals. You get the feeling they had been burned multiple times by people just having party members just not show up and not order, making the line situation worse. Understandable, but in my case its not cool. Nevertheless, as long as you have all youre people with you, get ready for the best breakfast you can eat.

The chicken and waffles was atrocious, the portion being very small, and the "fried chicken" being a glorified chicken nugget that Im fairly certain was made in a factory and went straight from the freezer to the microwave. Everything on my plate was dry and flavorless, and I was quite impressed by how deeply unsatisfied I felt. For $9.50, its a total rip-off. Both of my parents had similarly abysmal experiences of aggressive mediocrity, with each of us regretting having eaten there. This establishment is an affront to the culinary arts.

I found this place as it was listed as one of the best breakfast places in OC and boy that is correct! It gets incredibly busy and it isnt large so chances are you will have to wait. But people are in and out so our wait wasnt long. The owner is an actual chef and he stopped to ask us how our meal was. The staff was all super nice, the place is colorful and friendly, and the food was KILLER and prices reasonable! Coming back at the end of July and this is 100% where we will be eating breakfast!!

Classic spot to get breakfast before a day of Surf or Beach at O.C. My standard meal is the A-Frame (photo attached), which comes with eggs, choice of meat, potatoes, and french toast. Everything served is cooked deliciously. One thing to know is that the wait to get a table tends to get long, especially on the weekends. However, I have rarely had to wait as long as I get there before 8:00am. Also, if you go for lunch, I highly recommend the Sweet Potato Burrito

I came here for dinner and was rewarded with steaming hot food, fresh, high quality, and flavorful. If you need a break from all the pizza, pasta, and fried food in the area come get a delicious meal here. The owner also came over to say hi--that goes a long way in my book. Cant wait to return.

The bacon was delicious, but when isnt it? The rest was on par with what youd expect. Nothing was over the top delicious. Ill call it a cozy spot. I think it only had about a half dozen tables. We were seated almost immediately though. Id definitely go back.

Down-to-earth, shore-inspired Americana food that is tasty and reasonably priced. Parking in the area can be difficult during the summertime, but it is located within a 10-minute walk of multiple public parking lots and the boardwalk.

Awesome food and location in OC. The food is fresh, plentiful and not pricey. The restaurant is very clean and bright. Doesnt matter if you stop for breakfast, lunch or dinner it will be a highlight of your day!
