After looking at so many positive reviews, I was very excited to try their corn meal pancakes as well as their french toast. Too bad I almost died after eating there. After taking a few bites of their french toast (which, for the record, did not have "includes nuts" in its menu description) I began feeling the effects of an allergic reaction coming on. My friend, who was eating with me and is not allergic to nuts, affirmed my suspicions by saying it indeed tasted nutty. When I spoke to my waiter, he assured me that it is not made with any nuts or nut products, and later repeated this after apparently speaking with the chef. This causes me to believe that the food was contaminated with nuts, which in itself indicates unsafe cleaning and/or food preparation techniques. About an hour later, back at home, I was experiencing such severe symptoms (the most severe allergic reaction I have ever experienced, for that matter) that I had to be rushed to the ER. Was very disappointed that an institution which seems to have received much praise by its customers could actually be a danger and a health risk. After speaking to the owner over the phone, I received repeated "I dont know what happened" and "All I can do is apologize". Well, apologies mean nothing after a serious health issue has arisen. I rarely leave reviews for restaurants but I felt this needed to be put out there. I wish Google would let me post this review with 0 stars, but it seems I must give it a 1 star rating. Those of you with allergies or health concerns, beware. Actually, that goes out to everyone. Better safe than sorry, in my book.

Absolutely horrible service this evening. I have gone to Town Diner on numerous occasions and have always raved about their quality food and service until now. I ordered some breakfast for take out, specifically the farmers omelette, which i repeated 3 times on the phone. When i pick up my food, the hostess clearly cared more about texting on her phone than helping me. Nonetheless, I get my food drive all the way home, and they gave me an omelette with salmon in it. Honest mistake, I understand that (but i dont eat fish so I was really grossed out!! haha). I drive back there and told them it was the wrong omelette, the hostess says "I thought you said salmon." I explained that i said farmers 3 times, i dont even eat fish. She then rolled her eyes at me as I asked for my money back. No apology, NOTHING!. I said to them "Not for nothing, its not a huge deal, Im not upset, but no apology or anything?" She stared at me. Haha, I said this service is horrible and i wont be back. As I was leaving, she says "Okay good". ...Really? I didnt care about the food mixup, those things happen. But the absolute LACK of BASIC customer service? Its not rocket science guys. You just lost a customer and a lot of raving positive reviews I used to give my family and friends.

Lebron: True review, I asked for 3 eggs over medium with bacon and home fries, other than having a good bacon the homefries need some work and the eggs always funny. Butter roll /kaiser roll its a signature of New Jersey,, when one asked for a butter roll the road needs to be fresh semi crispy and no you dont put in a toaster. the roll i got was at least one half day off old, I call for the owner/manager, he did not care for my grievance complain, this Diner has been around for more than 20 years and its always been bad from the service too bad dining food.

I stop in often. Friday night dinner, lunch with friends and after movies. Its the only fair priced diner around. Nothing to rave about. Last night we were a group of 6 and came in after a movie. 4 coffees, a bowl of fruit, 2 ice creams, a muffin and an iced tea. There were only 2 other occupied tables. We waited a half hour for the food to arrive. And that was after we complained. Next time Ill pick up some Breyers ice cream and head home.

This place seems to change owners every two years or so. While Ive had less than favorable experiences in the past, the current incarnation of this diner is all around decent. They have a moderately sized but well varied menu and the food was better than average. Ive gotten only take out so far but from the limited interactions Ive had with the staff, they seemed inexperienced but their friendliness and effort more than made up for it.

My family and I always go here because the staff is so friendly, we normally get our usual waitress, Courtney, and she knows by now what I want to order. The first time I got her, she was so easy to joke around with and she remembered us then on. I would recommend getting the hot chocolate, its really good. If you ever go there, please ask for Courtney and have hospitality towards the staff. ~Yours Strongly, Chloe

This diner has it all. Great food at a reasonable price. They can fix together the standard diner specialties, but they also have some very unique items like deep fried French toast, and a breakfast burrito called the Big Fat Cat thats essentially one of everything on the menu rolled into one plate. The portions are well-sized, too, and the food is much cheaper and better than any other diner around town.

This place has become amazing lately. I had some pumpkin pancakes and they were willing to customize them with chocolate chips! The presentation was really good and the food tasted amazing. The portion was big enough that I could share it with my friend and still be full ! My boyfriend got a huevos rancheros breakfast and he loved it too !

Just wasnt a fan of the food... Seasoning was off.. Either too much or not enough. Portions are big... Might come back here one more time and give if a second chance. Do is was not bad. Waiter was a little slow, but it was close to closing. Like I said, I will give em another shot.

The food is excellent at Town Diner. This family owned local establishment has a huge selection and the prices are very fair. Especially when you consider that their portions are generous. This is a good place to bring your family for diner or work associates for lunch during the week.

A fruit fly in my drink on one occasion isnt the end of the world, but when I see another one in my soup on the next visit, I start to question the cleanliness of the kitchen. A shame too, because all the sandwiches Ive ordered are very good. Average service.

The potatoes that came with my omelet were completely stale and dry and had no flavor to them. My omelet was 90% cheese and didnt taste fresh at all. No idea why this place has a good rating, I would not recommend this for breakfast.

Pros: Large menu, and unquestionably the best french fries in town. Cons: Very slow, inattentive service, and the food is under spiced/mild. If you dont have to zip back to work in a hurry, this is a good place for lunch.

Very good French fries, good meat and rather large portion sizes. The staff was on their game; our waiter showed up to take our order as soon as we decided, instead of coming by repeatedly to ask if we were ready yet.
