I have been coming to this Diner since I moved to Hackensack 15 years ago. I moved to another town and til now I have continued coming here. The last two(2) visits to this place I have been made aware of a sad situation. Last time while at the Diner one of the servers advised me that they are being monitored by the cameras and scolded if they give customers too many refills. Today I went to the Diner and I was given problems about getting more than two(2) packs of Splendas(sugar). The person said she had to ask management if she could give me more because she didnt want to loose her job. My waiter did not even want to bring it to the table. That is incredible. Unacceptable. Disappointing. Will really think twice before coming back here.

Walked in on a rainy night after work. My phone died, it was pouring and around 12am. My job closed for the night. I went to wait for a bus but All public transportation was done for the night. All business around the area were closed. Finally found this diner open after walking for an hour. Met the owner and explained the situation and asked if I can call a cab. He looked me straight in my face dripping with water and said no. And walked back into the kitchen. I continued to walk to a hotel in little ferry and made the call. Never will forget that man. And anyone who runs a business that serves people shouldnt give this man a dime. Surprised this place has 4 stars when such a heartless person runs it.

Disappointed in todays service and my food. My companions ordered eggs and hash browns. I ordered a panini. After quite a long wait, the waitress told us the panini machine wasnt working but they fixed it. We finally got our food after almost 45 minites....My friends eggs were cold and my panini was not a panini at all. Had I been told the machine wasnt working properly, I would have ordered something else and no one would have had to eat cold food.

The food and service met expectations for a diner however, the bathroom was disgusting. Ray Kroch of McDonalds fame once said "the secret to a successful restaurant is clean bathrooms". Unfortunately, Heritage Diner did not pass the clean bathroom test and needs vast improvement in that department. Final note, the staff is friendly and efficient and the food is above average breakfast quality.

Came here due to the high reviews. When I first walked in the door, employees were arguing over money at the register while I stood waiting to be seated. Once I was pointed to a table, I sat down and waited on a server. After 10 minutes with no server approaching my table, I stood up and left. I dont think anyone even noticed me leave. Needless to say, I wont be coming back.

Older women is so rude. Please stay away. Went there about 2am with about 15 ppl and it was the worst experience i have experienced in a diner. She said it was bcuz she was alone and the manager wouldnt help her. That gives no reason for her to treat is like that. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE ESPECIALLY LARGE PARTIES

Rich the waiter excellent service hes polite and on point .I dont have to ask for water or extra napkins.Just wish the other waitresses was as good as him during the day some arent too glad to serve you.Tip is earned not expected. Good service good tip.Food is great.

Best way to start my morning. Ordered their eggs benedict...Best choice ever!! I was surprised on how careful my to-go order was packed. I will definitely continue to order from them. I may just switch my weekend Diner to Heritage Diner!

The egg white omelette was great with bacon the way I asked for Crunchy. They also put ample cheese on it. I t came with toast and a huge serving of home fries. The waitress was very nice and helpful. So glad they were open 24 hours.

Great place to eat 24/7. Food is just as you would expect, fresh, delicious, and priced good. Service is pretty good as well. I go there frequently and havent been dissatisfied yet. Recommend to a friend
