I am a regular customer service of this restaurant, because their stuffed shrimp is pretty excellent, but I had a seriously disappointing experience this past weekend. I called in my order (as I normally do), and made sure that I spoke slowly and clearly so that the person who took my order would understand what I was saying. She kept saying, "Yes, yes," when I confirmed what I wanted, and told me that my food would be ready in ten minutes. I gave it 15. When I walked up to the take out counter, I was told that my order was not ready, because the woman who took my order didnt know what kind of shrimp I wanted. Even though Id specified several times and she always said "Yes." The waitress at the take out counter was really apologetic, even though the woman who took my order on the phone seemed rather unconcerned. I spoke with the manager, who shrugged and said "She made a mistake." As if that should have been the end of it. He didnt offer me a glass of water or soda as I waited for 20 minutes, and he definitely didnt apologize. I was pretty put off by his blase attitude. Go for the food, not for the service, and make sure the person who takes your order knows what you asked for.

Tasty food, great prices & and a salad bar! We were coming home from Woodbury Common and were hungry. We had already gotten onto Route 4 and saw this place. The facade looked a bit dated as did the interior but as I said; we were hungry. First off, the prices are very reasonable when you consider that the specials include a salad bar. A real good, well stocked salad bar. OMG! They had all sorts of salads like potato, egg, an assortment of macaroni salads, bean salads and .... Dolmades! (Stuffed Vine Leaves). The feta was cut into generous chunks too. Oh, and they also had this green leafy thing my wife called "lettuce". I had just started my second plateful of salad when our order arrived. (fast service!) Both my wife and I had chicken breast dishes and both were really flavorful and the portions were generous. We each ended up taking home half of our dinner. (No sneer from the waiter when we asked for containers. He even offered to put our leftovers in the containers. Were not around that area much but next time...

The food is DISGUSTING. Please do not eat here! Spend your money at the ale house or bahama breeze down the street. My wife and i were passing by traveling and we saw cars in the parking lot so we thought it would be at least decent, boy were we wrong. The waitresses were more concerned with the drama of their own staff. Our waitresses actually had a shot of liquor added to some OJ and drank it. I also witnessed our waitress sitting at the bar area biting her nails. And the food was the most repulsive thing Ive ever put in my mouth. Even thinking about it now makes me ill. If you see this place, keep on going. DONT LOOK BACK. Id rather step on legos barefoot at 3am then go to this restaurant.

My significant other and I went to lunch at the Coach House this afternoon. The server was okay, the food was okay. When were finished with our meal and went to pay for our dining experience. My significant other noticed the man coughing in his hand as he took our payment. He also handed me the receipt with the hand that he coughed in and when it was brought to his attention he became very disrespectful. He showed little regard for the fact that he could have infected us with whatever sickness he may have had. This action is quite disrespectful and basic sanitary principles should be implemented to ensure that the restaurants environment as clean as possible. I will not dine there again.

This place is dangerous. My girlfriend went there last night and had some sea food, after finishing she started not feeling well and today I may have to take her to the hospital. She is not the first person that got hurt when eating the sea food in this place. I wish she would have told me where her and her friends were going to go after drinks. I would have stop her. One of my friends and I went there to eat a few years ago, his steak had maggots in it, and since then when ever someone I know tells me about going to this place I warn them not to. I feel bad for my girlfriend and her friends and anyone else who gets sick because of the food they ate at this place.

Quality of food and mostly service of the management left a bad taste. Have been going there for years but things took a turn to the worse so have reduced my visits there. Yesterday we went to give it another try - we ordered a chicken gyro, among other things - the gyro sandwich was filled with greens, barely few extremely thin strips of chicken - not sure how they managed to cut them so thin. When talking to the the manager, who tried to avoid us - the waiter had told him that we were not satisfied, the manager reacted in a very unprofessional and unwelcoming way to our observations. Not a recommended diner, sorry to say that !

Man, this place ALWAYS hits their mark. Never had a bad entree in about 15 years. Most diners you should be rightfully afraid to be too Adventurous but not here. Order anything from breakfast to a burger to a jambalaya chicken and shrimp over rice or a steak and shrimp entree or even a salmon wrap. Its all good. The salad bar is GREAT and a must add (so youll have leftovers from dinner duh!) The service is usually good, they all help each other so you always feel taken care of. The price is reasonable and its 24 hours. The only reason I give 4 instead of 5 stars is the bakery isnt terribly impressive.

We ordered the roast chicken & it was so dry and had no taste, it seem that it was cooked 2 days ago & they just reheat to serve, I complain to the rude waiter who didnt care to mention it to the manager, I used to like it there but not anymore they care about the new bar than their food. Rude waiter but I still give him a tip I will never eat there again I will also warn all my family & friends that usually go there. Very disappointed in Coach House North Bergen!

Had to wait atleast 15 minutes before getting an menu to order. After I ordered the Fresh Mushroom Bacon Deluxe burger but another order was bought to me instead so I had to wait about 10 mins before they gave me my correct order which wasnt the best the bread wasnt even toasted it was falling apart and the french fries were cold. The burger overall wad just plain and had no flavor. My soda came by the time I was done eating. Honestly bad experience.

Big disappointment...I can remember when this place opened in the mid 80s... had great food and a large menu...and fast friendly service... well things aint the same here no more the big menu... food below avrage...and the service is now a joke... place was empty, and took over twenty minutes to get 2 eggs over easy n toast...they managed to incinerate the food... stay away not worth the money any more to eat here
