Tried some new items today with mom and steph. Their first time here my second. Last time had the lamb merguez sausage which was flavor packed and delicious. This time we split the potato latkes with sour cream and smoked salmon, Reuben sandwich, and half sour pickle. The latke dish was fulfilling and the smoked salmon was a nice touch. The Reuben with kraut and Russian dressing had a good taste to it though some of the meat was a little too fatty for my mom. The matza ball soup was good according to steph but the broth was a little too salty. The service was great and we were lucky to get seated quickly. I think the lines can build up since there are only four tables for four, one table for two and five seats at the counter. All in all it was a nice meal with my girls.

I work nearby and pass this diner really often, almost everyday and thought I gotta try it one day cause it looks kinda cool, like in "movies" and guess what, day has come! Me and my friends went there and it was the worst experience weve ever had! They gave us coffee with hair in it and when I asked to change it server was staring at me like stupid and pretend nothing happened! Milk cups were dirty, you could see fingerprints on it and so on. Service is terrible, server guy was acting like stupid, though he doesnt speak english at all. Anyway you guys have the worst diner in entire planet and Id give you zero stars if I could!!! Just burn this place and build something brand new with normal people and management! Get out now!

Absolutely horrible!!!!! The food is garbage and the staff or manager, whoever I spoke with was unapologetic and didnt care that my order was wrong. He kept insisting that the cook made my order correct!!! Seriously!! I ordered an omelette with extra cheese and when it was delivered there was no cheese in it at all!!! I know what cheese inside an omelette looks like and there was none! I WILL NEVER ORDER FORM THIS PLACE AGAIN!!!

I would have given it three stars for the aliment and casual ambiance. But the way they changed the credit card charge later after I left, even though I specifically put the tip amount, has made me to reduce the star. The food tends to be like a general diner and moderately spiced. Many choices of burgers in this part of NYC makes you to relate to soul food. Space is small but they are usually quick to allocate you.

Worst food i have ever paid for. Ordered Philly cheesesteak with curly Fries. The bread was dry und just the usual cheepest quality. They used the cheapest Chester cheese in the bread, not in the meat. But doesent matter, cause there was nearly no meat! 6 cm dry bread+0.5cm hard and chewy meat. No sauted onions vor Bell pepper. Curly Fries were super-market quality. It was really horrible.

Cool bc its one of the last 4 diners, but the service was crappy. We sat ourselves waited 5 min for menus. Then waited another 10 min to order our drinks. Waitress never came back to check on us until she gave us the check. Guess its a cool place for locals to hang out but not good for quality food or service. Also, there was also a hair in my side dish. :)

We love this place! I go there for work breakfast meetings or lunch. Its a great value and good diner food. For the same amount you would spend going to Chipotle or the like, you can get a good sit down meal and super fast service! My favorite is the chicken souvlaki with curly fries. They also deliver and the food tastes just as good.

Went there for a late lunch. Waiter snapped at me for asking for a menu. Spent time playing on his phone rather than taking our order. Didnt even bother waiting any longer so we left and I wont ever bother going back. Way too many places to eat around the area for me to waste any more time at this place.

We arrived right before closing and their were only two people working, they were so nice, they invited us in and were very hospitable. We ordered eggplant parmigiana and a meatball hero. It was delicious and we felt like we stepped back in time because of the decor. LOVED IT and would highly recommend

You get what you pay for. This is a quaint diner that has not changed since the 60s. The furniture, decor and I assume menu are still the same. You are greeted with an abrupt yet humble welcome. The menu contains cheap coffee and all kinds of starch. No Michelin stars here but its full of character.

Google recommended this as a well rated nearby restaurant. We arrived to an empty restaurant and waited 30 minutes before they came to take our order. The staff were friendly enough but the restaurant was dirty and smelled terrible. Food prices were great. Food was OK, nothing to get excited about.

Simple but good breakfast just like Id make Sat morning at home. Griddle cooked eggs, crunchy homestyle potatoes, bacon, fresh blueberry pancakes, and coffee at a decent price. Perfect if you know what you want and are looking for a quick easy meal. Would like to go back and try lunch too.

Very nostalgic feel about the place. Youll recognise such a place from every other NYPD TV crime drama. Waitress was very friendly and genuine. Food is cheap yet not of the highest quality....but tasty enough. Id recommend it for an authentic NYC diner experience.

All things considered: Not bad, FIDI has horrible food options, there all mass factory produced deli garbage, so expectations are meek to begin with when your down here. But, there is a slight element of the home cooking feel here, which is why I return..

My service was... I dont know how to rate it, they werent straight up rude, I never got a refill, they werent friendly, and some of the staff had a straight up attitude. I got a breakfast sandwich and a coke. My sandwich taste mediocre. I wont come back.

I was here for breakfast and it was a great diner experience. I ordered the #8 lumberjack special. Price was good and food was great. Friendly staff provided us with a small orange juice for free. I would highly recommend. Prompt, thoughtful, decisive

Soon as I walked in I said " now this is a diner". All the nostalgic feel of a 1950s corner diner is fully in effect. The food was DELICIOUS. I kept it simple with pancakes, eggs and bacon but it was very good. It tastes just like you made it at home

The best diner in new York and cheap prices. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful and as soon as you walk through the door the next day they remember you and what you like. Definitely visit this diner especially for breakfast.
