Every time Ive been there, there has been a disgusting film of syrup and kitten tears fogging up the entire place. The food is nothing special and the service angers me. I called, on free pancake day as i knew it would be crazy, to inform that a party of 7 under the name Maher would be coming and that we would like to be put on the waiting list. Not only was I cut off mid-sentence, but the woman on the phone hung up on me. I understand that it is an insane day for them, but that is NO excuse for such indecency. If only she had waited a fraction of a second more to hear that we were taking a girl to cheer her up after a heart shattering incident, Im sure she wouldve been polite, but she didnt and she wasnt. Now I have successfully wasted 15 minutes writing a 1 star review for a dingy IHOP. I couldve been crocheting or reading classic English literature like Macbeth or Frankenstein. May the fires of hell burn up on this establishments in the dead of night where no one dares walks among the creatures of the night. I pray to the our one true lord and savior, Jessica Lange, that the waters of Poseidons murkiest waters wash away this foul excuse for a pancake house. I highly recommend The Original Pancake House located 1638 Schlosser Street, Fort Lee, NJ. The pancakes are bigger than my head and taste phenomenal.Thank you. Actually, youre welcome.

One of my Moms favorites. Shes easy to please. After traveling from Georgia, I treated my Mom, son, grandson, and his Mom to breakfast. For the most part the staff is cool. Some new faces and the service by the new staff was apparent. You get what you pay for. Our waitress Eileen was pretty good. Everyone enjoyed their food. It was hot, prepared as requested, and Eileen kept checking to make sure we had a pleasant experience. Upon getting the bill and going up to pay for our meal there was a young man on his phone so clearly the call was more important than his job. He couldve asked someone elation to service us while he was on his call. One of his coworkers even asked if he wanted them to take care of us. He said no hes got it. Then proceeded with his call.....unacceptable!!! That was my only gripe. However, I will frequent this restaurant again when visiting family in NJ.

Food was flavorless, boring and portions were tiny. It was my first time eating at ihop, and I wouldnt return again. Its basically like a Dennys, but Dennys food is 100 times better! Hashbrowns tasted old and gross, eggs over cooked on outside but undercooked in middle, toast was tiny, bacon was flavorless. Our waitress wasnt attentive or friendly at all. Didnt offer us coffee, check up on us during our meal or see if we needed a water refill. Waited 15 minutes to receive the check after our meal was finished and then waited another 10 minutes before I had to walk up to the front to go pay because our waitress wasnt coming over. I realize that sometimes they can get busy, but I am also a customer and dont appreciate that lack of service I received. Would not return or recommend!

Squeezing into one of the grimy booths at this IHOP gives me infinite satisfaction. This is the brunch spot of choice for meeting up with old friends, and we can usually stay in that booth for hours drinking coffee and laughing. Even at peak Sunday brunch times, the wait is hardly ever more than 20-30 min. The parking situation is also annoying, as their parking lot is tiny. The McDonalds next door seems to be waging a growing battle with IHOP customers parking in their lot, so you may have to park on a side street and walk over.

I dont like writing negative reviews, especially when I am a big fan of Ihop. However, this IHOP should be ashamed of calling itself an ihop... In a word freaking "Aweful"!!! From the parking, to the entrance, to the service, to the cleanliness.... even the food seemed to be different from any other ihop I have ever gone to... I simply cannot be more clear... Stay away from this place.... the franchise should pull the license before its too late...

The place looks like it has not been cleaned in years (Dont even ask about the restroom). The syrup bottles are sticky & gross. The glasses & silver ware were dirty. The food I ordered was dry & cold. The waitress was too busy texting on her cell phone and taking breaks to be bothered with us. Needless to say no tip was left. Never going back there again. Zero stars

Server was nice, but the food was served cold and my wife got a portion first and didnt get the rest until after I had already finished my omelette. Her crepes were warm but after she had eaten a couple of bites noticed a hair in it. Horrible experience, over all it was loud, small place, and delay in the service.

I went with my family and waited for at least 45 or so for my food after ordering. And within that time frame other people who were there after had already gotten their meal and paid and left while I did not get anything. I was not even given a notice or an apology for my meal being late.

Wish I could give this place 0 stars. The service was horrible. The waiter took our order and only time she came back was to give the food. The food was bad. Never had bad experience with IHOP until now. Would definitely not recommend. Go to another IHOP if u can.

food is good, customer service could be friendlier, some waitress are a bit rude. Parking is difficult on weekends. The wait is not bad. Bathrooms are clean. the food could taste better is the overall experience was better.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! Came in just to have a little coffee and dessert. After being seated, waited 10 minutes without any acknowledgment. Even as we walked out we got no response as to what was wrong. Wont be back!!!

A tiny breakfast place is more like it. One of the smallest ihops Ive been to, still the same moderate breakfast as ever. At least the waitress was on top of things and the food was hot.

Fantastic food and service at all times of the day. Be warned tho almost always stuffed with people on Saturday and sunday mornings and afternoons. Anytime past like 3 isnt crazy though

Not the worst IHOP around. But its IHOP, so dont expect any kind of fancy dining experience. If you like sugar, youve come for the right breakfast food...
