This restaurant gets 5 stars because most of the other raters are idiots, and because this diner actually deserves it. In fact, I feel the need to defend it after such nasty comments. First of all, the price is what one would expect from any restaurant. Going out to eat is expensive, you have to face reality. The prices are a little above average, but you get substantially more food than at other places. As with any place, if something is wrong, you can always talk to the manager, and if its a legitimate gripe, theyll handle it. Ive had minor issues, all were fixed. No problem. As for getting sick, well, go to rocklandrestaurantcheck DOT com and see how this diner did. ONE red item in the past 5+ years. Thats extremely clean. If you want to truly get sick, check out a few other diners in the past few years. In particular, on the site I mentioned above, check out one particular diner. One item in March 2010 at that other diner is particularly repulsive. Food is good, its open late, and the people that work there are friendly. Go check it out for yourself. Dont listen to anyone but yourselves, the Internet is full of trolls.

Its a diner folks not a restaurant. The difference is here the cook, fixes food in the menu by basically pulling your pre-pressed burger out the freezer and cooking it. All their menu items are prepared ahead of time, wrapped in plastic till you order that chop, steak, fish, etc. So when I say its a diner its not a bad thing it just means that you are eating food that isnt cooked to order, howver it is heated up to order. I ordered the hamburger, nothing to write home about. It was a hamburger patty that was pressed into shape by a machine. Spices werent added to the meat because hey by the time you salt it up and throw ketchup on it, youll be ok with swallowing it.

On my way out during paying my bill, i asked the owner how long this diner is been here?? And his response was "none of your business"? I never reveived a bad experience from a restaurant owner , while all i was trying to do is conversational and not only that even after i politely withdrawing from the conversation , he kept being rude to me. His personality is not fit to be a restaurant owner . He does not take any pride in hospitality. It is quite sad that i have to say this here.

It was a little past midnight and theres about 9 of us who were really hungry. The diner seem to be understaffed that night because there were more than 15 people waiting for their food. I ordered the hamburger to play itsafe. 45 mins later I get my order and I received two top sesame seed buns and no bacon , sad. The staff were overwhelmed that they didnt wanted to split the check with my group, luckily I had money if not would of been a terrible night.

RUDE!! Extremely rude. The waiters are OK if they understand you or you understand them..though some of them dont even speak to you besides " are you ready". When I was rung up, I wanted to pay for all my friends for dinner so Igave the person all the checks (5) and she gave me the biggest attitude ever just because she had to click the screen a few extra times.

The food was ok though overpriced when considering what youre getting. The service is terrible. Couldnt get the orders straight from start to finish. They just dont care and neither did the manager. Rather go somewhere else, pay more, and know my business is appreciated. Been there twice. Same nonsense. Wont be there a third time.

Of all the diners in the area, this one is worst. We live nearby and have given it many chances. Always disappointing. Lame patty melts, grey turkey clubs, marginal fries. These should be staples, examples of their dinerism. Drive the extra 15 or 20 minutes to any of the other area diners. Seriously

Tzatziki sauce was more like sour cream and a little cucumber. They opened the blinds shining sunlight right into my eyes. They closed them when I asked but then opened them up again 5 minutes later. Nice specials but very chincy when it comes to allowing substitutions or sharing.

Average diner, overpriced, pre-made burger patties. Too big of a menu to have everything fresh, so stick to basics. Breakfast is good, seafood on Fridays and Saturdays. Much better to go to Hogans in Haverstraw - good food, fresh, simpler menu.

Yes I could point out half a dozen other diners which are much better in food and service. However in this area nothing is open past ten or so. Keep it simple like eggs or a hamburger and you should be okay.

Ordered moussaka and was too salty. Sent back. Open turkey sandwich was good but veggie wrap mediocre. Shakes ok. Womans bathroom smelled. One toilet had poop in it and wouldnt flush.
