This was the worst experience my family and I have ever had eating out. We went there for my Dads birthday, thinking it would have a nice, beachy vibe. Nope. It was more like a dive. But, we gave it a chance since we had read such good reviews about it. First off, there was a guy playing "music" and "singing" and he was pretty awful. And loud -- so dinner conversation was difficult. The waitress took our drink order and took her sweet time getting us the drinks. After about 15 more minutes, she finally came back to take our dinner order. We ordered the chips and salsa and one other app (I dont remember what it was). The chips were basically stale and the salsa was good, but not worth the price. When I ordered my portobella sandwich, which the menu states comes with cheese, I told the waitress THREE time that I wanted it with NO cheese. I also asked if the sandwich came with anything -- side salad or fries? She says I can pick from either regular fries or sweet potato fries. I specifically asked her does it come WITH the meal or is it extra (meaning extra cost). She says it comes with the meal and I just pick one, so since it comes with the meal at no extra cost, according to the waitress, I figured Ill just get sweet potato fries in case I want to pick at them. It takes quite a while for our food to come, but in the mean time, my Dad is halfway through his beer and feels something dripping on his arm. He notices the air conditioning unit above his head is dripping on his arm and into his beer. So, he makes a comment like "thats all I need is to get Legionnaires disease," which for those of you who dont know, is a bacterial pneumonia specifically caused by water droplets from an air conditioning unit. So, we call the waitress over and tell her and ask her for another beer. In the mean time, an annoyed waiter or bus boy comes over and wipes off the air conditioning unit and says nothing and just walks away. The waitress NEVER comes back with the new beer so my sister had to go to the bar and get one for him. Finally our dinner comes. First off, they bring my one sister the WRONG meal, so after the remaining 4 of us get our food, she is sitting there waiting for hers and watching us eat. Hers comes another 10 minutes later. And of course mine arrives SMOTHERED in cheese, which of course I asked NOT to be on the sandwich. Not wanting to delay our eating any longer by asking them to redo it, I just scrape all the cheese off. Sandwich was so-so. No one else really enjoyed their meals. The waitress didnt come back once during our meal to see if we liked everything or needed anything. Then, when the bill comes, its just the total. There is no breakdown of what everyone ordered and the price for each item. So, I asked her to provide a breakdown of the bill. That took another 10 minutes at least. When she finally comes back, I first notice that those sweet potato fries that she said were no extra charge were actually an additional $3. That pissed me off, especially since I asked her clearly was it going to cost extra. I didnt even mention to her that my meal came with cheese because she had never come back to check on us after the kitchen guy brought our food. I called her over to contest the $3 charge and asked her to take it off the bill -- well guess what -- that took another 15 minutes or so. Absolutely ridiculous!!! My Dad at this point had left to wait outside because the guy playing music was so bad and he was so annoyed with the experience. So, after we hesitantly paid the revised bill, I asked to speak to the manager, who turned out to be the hostess. She came over and I told her about our entire experience from the dripping air unit to the bad food, to the sandwich with cheese that wasnt supposed to be on it, to the extra $3 charge for fries, to the waitress who never checked on us during our meal, to the slow service, etc,. She was very apologetic but didnt offer ANY kind of compensation. I was so pissed. She probably figured we were vacationers who wouldnt be back anyway. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!

I was there with my sisters on June 15, 2017...bread and oil were brought to our table. ..a hair was in the oil. Waitress took it back and brought us more...I ordered Lobster Bisque. ....it was brought to me and I took one bite and it was delicious but I took a second bite and my sisters and I saw another hair! When the waitress came back I showed her and she took it back and asked if I wanted something else. At that moment I did not want anything else! My sisters got their meals and the manager came out to apologize, but meant nothing to me as she told me that she dont know where it came from because it was windy. Really, the soup were brought to me directly from their kitchen and we were sitting in their outside seating area and it was not that windy. Then when the waitress came out she gave my sisters their bills and said they took 15% off! Nice gesture, except one sisters bill was $29 and there was not 15% taken off! And my other sisters bill was $23 and they took off $1.05! Now even without a calculator that is NOT 15%! Would NOT recommend Tishas to anybody!! Many other wonderful eating places throughout Cape May for sure!

My family of four came to cabanas in cape may at about 830 on a wednesday night, and we were not disappointed! There was no wait, so we walked right to our table looking out onto the beach with a fantastic playlist in the background and a relaxing atmosphere. Our waitress, Nicole, was incredibly helpful with her recommendations, and her service was impeccable. We left a pair of headphones in the restaurant and came back to find she had turned them in at the hostess podium. For drinks, we had waters and long island iced teas, which were a bit heavy on the sours for my taste. We ordered fish and chips, which were crispy outside and flaky inside, an arugula salad which was quickly devoured, kids chicken tenders that were eaten happily, and i ordered the Carne Asada tacos. My tacos were our only gripe; the guac didnt seem all that fresh and the steak was incredibly chewy, but the flavor was good and i still ate them. Overall, we would definitely come back, i would just not order the tacos. Thanks Nicole!

While their menu sounds rather appetizing their portions and quality of food is horrific. The food and beverage is severely overpriced for quality that they serve. Food preparation is terrible. Both meals I ordered were improperly cooked. The chicken was raw in the center and had to be sent back. The fish and chips were soggy and not cooked through. For $19 dollars you would expect at least two decent pieces of fish. That is not the case. I was served three small pieces of fish barely larger than a chicken nugget. The French fries were low quality string fries cooked into a solid mass. The mussels we ordered as an appetizer were definitely pre frozen and had a particular offensive after taste. Three items ordered, a Caribbean style chicken sandwich, mussels and fish and chips for lunch. Epic fail straight across the board! This place is a joke, do not waste your time or money! I wouldnt trust this place to make toast.
