I went there last night with a large party of friends for their hibachi. They sat us around 630 and we got no type of attention until 45mins later. 45 minutes for them to come and take our drink order! Then after an even longer wait, the guy finally came over to cook. We got no entertainment from him, he barely interacted with us and there was minimal food. Normally when i come here, the cook is always interactive with the table, whether hes doing tricks or sake shots, its always been a fun time, and there is always a large portion of food! Well me being a slow eater, didnt finish my food as quick as everyone else. The people in my group got up to go outside briefly and i think the busser thought that we were all done. I was talking to my husband and then i noticed the busser had taken my plate without asking, (despite me having my fork in my hand and food still on my plate) and as i noticed and went to say something, he piled dirty dishes on top of plate. Ruining what was left. I talked to my waitress about it and she said she would go and get the manager... i waited for another 25-30mins for that. I ended up leaving because of how mad i was. I have never had an experience like this here before and im really disappointed. A

First time here. Will go again for sure. We came here with another couple because we were in the mood for Asian food and sushi. It was late afternoon on a Sunday so not very many other guests at the time. We ordered several kinds of sushi (I got the Chefs choice). The Sushi was great. We also ordered the Chicken Pad Thai and Spicy Mango Chicken. Both dishes tasted fantastic. Portion size was good for the price and we each ended up taking the rest home in a to-go box. We will definitely go again.

When it comes to Japenese style restaurants, Tomo ranks among the best in my opinion. All of the food is excellent whether its sushi, sashimi or habachi. The hibachi chefs put a good show (watch out for the never ending squeeze bottle of saki, dont wear you favorite top) and cook the dishes perfectly. The bartenders are great and the bar has an excellent buzz. The rolls and fish are fresh and tasty. If youve tried the rest, now try the best.

We stopped by to try out their sushi. The interior is modern with a good sized bar in-between the dining and hibachi area. We sat at the bar, the servers we attentive and our order was brought out in reasonable time. We tried out 4 rolls, all of them being very tasty, the best being the Dynamite roll. The food was good and worth the price. I would recommend stopping by for the nice decor and good food at reasonable prices.

Ive been here twice and both times were pretty lackluster. The sushi here is not very good, their rolls have cuts of fish that are far too big for a roll. The hibachi food is ok, but also not really that great. This place is also pretty loud. It seems like a great place for drinks with friends however.

Very clean, excellent atmosphere. Chef was very good and entertaining. My wife and boys took me out for my birthday, and coming here was a surprise. Id had Teppanyaki dining before, but this was the best Ive had. Celebrating my 39th birthday here was perfect. I will definitely come back again!

Excellent lunch specials! Food taste great. $ 9.99 lunch with many options. Choice of chix, shrimp or veggie with green salad or miso soup, California roll, dumplings and rice included. It was worth the money. Romantic atmosphere with tea lights and recess lighting. Great service too!

Food was great and prices were reasonable for hibachi. Our chef wasnt the most animated though. Other tables seemed to be having more fun than ours. And its a very loud restaurant, so dont expect to be having conversations if you have more than 2 or 3 people in your group.

Drinks werent properly mixed and measured. Definitely to strong. The sushi was bland and not tasteful enough. Plus the sushi chef wasnt adding ingredients that it said in the menu. Service was good but I have to give Thumbs down. Next time Ill take my business elsewhere.

Great food, even better service. The cooks are entertaining as they cook your meal infront of you. The food tastes amazing and the wait staff is exceptional. Ask for Kim to be your waitress, she is the best. Especially if you have your children with you.

Fantastic Hibachi, sushi, and drinks to be had here. The food is a little pricey, but the portions are pretty large to make up for that. Service is top quality, and the restaurant is clean, and wait times are rare. One of Salems best restaurants.

Excellent hibachi and Im a hibachi snob. Staff is great drinks are strong. Not crowded during the week and prices are normal. I dont do sushi so cant comment on that but overall very good place.
