Very fun spot, went here for a Hibachi birthday celebration with my family and had a great time! The hibachi grills are close set but make for an intimate experience thats fun to share with friends and strangers alike. We started with Mai Tais which were very quite sweet but a good strength. The Garden Spring from the Japanese fusion menu was a very creative combination of fruits and veggies in a roll form and great for sharing! I would almost recommend it as a dessert, tasting super fresh. We ordered 4 hibachis and were delighted with a great grill show. One of the highlights was a sake stream from the chef straight into your mouth. The sake was easy to drink and game was very fun. Overall the hibachi dishes were good portions and everyone left full. The rice has a great flavor, lots of butter. The salmon and scallops were cooked to a moist, delicate perfection while the chicken and beef were a little overcooked. The Sashimi sampler was standard, fresh enough for a tasty meal. The Tuna Dumplings were unique and delicious but almost too much of a mix such that the tuna taste and avocado texture dominated, making the crab indistinguishable. Overall I really enjoyed Osaka and would recommend it as a fun place to take a group!

Osaka Japanese Restaurant functions in two fantastically different ways: entertaining Hibachi grill show and quiet sushi room. The restaurant is literally split in two. The dual personalities of Osaka has a fun way of catering to its diners. For your first visit, start with the hibachi grill. Hibachi is a traditional Japanese grill that is equipped with an iron hot plate called (teppan) used in teppanyaki restaurants, though what you find within its ornate walls might not be considered traditional. The chefs at Osaka go all-out to put on a show with funny banter and a bottle of sake (which they will squirt in the mouth of dinner patrons). As for the food, get ready to watch it diced, grilled, and served right in front of you. On the tamer side of the restaurant, the sushi rolls are made fresh, with creative combinations like TOMO or Hot Lover Roll.

Up until yesterday this restaurant was our go-to sushi spot. Well, never again. We made a reservation for Valentines Day only to show up and see twenty other people waiting for their reservation as well. After waiting in line for 15 minutes, I was finally able to speak to the hostess who told me it would be another 15-20 minute wait to sit at the hibachi bar (putting us 30 minutes past our reservation). We had specifically booked a table as we wanted sushi, and she said they just assume reservations are for hibachi and that it would be an HOUR wait for a table, so we left and will not be back. Dont say you have reservations available and then overbook - we had to scramble to find something last minute on the most popular date night of the year.

Food is good but service is very poor. Called in for a reservation yesterday for a birthday celebration and ended up needing to wait for a table. Waitress took 27 minutes to serve us water and did not bother to take our order after having waited nearly half an hour. Waitress comes back scurrying 15 minutes after and rudely asking what the order would be without patience. Another 20 minutes go by.... finally get the drinks. About an hour after being there finally a meal for two arrives. Waitress nowhere to be found after finishing the meal, had to go to the hostess just to get the check. Food here is alright but the service unfortunately is awful and its not the first time this has happened at this location.

This is our go-to birthday place. Osakas staff is so hospitable to groups, even in the regular part of the restaurant. They have allowed us to order on separate checks, and to bring in and serve our homemade birthday cakes (even providing us with a knife and lighter -- and no cake cutting fee!). Of course, we tip in a way that shows our appreciation for these leniences. All of this creates such a relaxed atmosphere, where we can enjoy company, great food, some warm or cold sake... and then, karaoke! At our third birthday party here, we went to the hibachi section, and also found out that on that side, the birthday celebrant gets a free dinner!

Went here with a group of 9 for New Years Eve. Had to wait about 20 minutes past our resevation to sit down, but the place was packed. Sat down for hibachi and it took a little while for everything to get going. Didnt get salad until 25 minutes after sitting down, but then everything else followed quickly. Chef cooked the food quickly and the one meal that was cooked in the kitchen (for dietary restrictions) arrived on time which was impressive given the cooking of other meals on the hibachi top. Overall, a great experience!

This is one of my favorite restaurants! The food is always delicious! The atmosphere is great! There are no other hibachi restaurants anywhere close with 10 miles. The sushi is well presented and they have unique dishes. I like to try a different dish everytime I dine there and have not be disappointed yet. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. They personally greet each guest with a warm smile at the door. HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR GOOD FOOD AND FUN EXPERIENCE!!!

The first time I came here was with a large group for its hibachi show. Its fun, and theres a lot of food. I have since visited a number of times for regular food, which is very reasonably priced as well (though the food is just alright). Seating is very comfortable, and you can hold a private conversation which is nice. It also have sectioned-off areas and rooms for more private settings for groups.

Went with a large party recently to the tepanyaki table. The service was spectacular, however the food left me wanting something better. The food wasnt bad, but Ive had better tepanyaki elsewhere that was just more flavorful. The one things this restaurant has going for them is the 2 sauces they have for the meal. Overall, I would say this is an average tepanyaki dinner. Neither great nor bad.

My wife and I went out here and loved it. We love us some hibachi, and as frequent movers we start looking immediately. This is our favorite place weve ever been, and we just moved back from Seattle. Great sauce, good dressing, rice and noodles on point. Meat is the same pretty much everywhere. Good prices for this type of place. Waiter was not very attentive, but cook was great.

This is a hibachi grill place, where the cook makes food on a huge grill pan right in front of you. Food was tasty and the price was acceptable. This last point may seem nitpicky, but the show wasnt that good, at least for someone who has already seen the real thing. It might be flashy for those who have never seen it before, but for me it didnt even count as a proper show.

Had a great time with a group of over 20 people. Food was fairly standard hibachi, good, but nothing extraordinary. Hibachi chef was awesome and had a great sense of humor and was really on top of his game and you can tell he loved his job. Price was fair. Split checks automatically and accurately, without us asking and the birthday person was comped.

The sushi was good but the issue was the wait. Albeit we went on a Saturday at 7pm, but when we ordered our food, my food never came. The waitress kept saying shed check on it (probably 4 times throughout the meal) but it never came. After about an hour, I canceled the order. The waitress had no explanation. We paid for what food we did receive and left.
