A Manchester landmark for sure!! If you are visiting Manchester NH for the first time you MUST go to the Red Arrow!! I have been going to the red Arrow since the 80s. The food is the best diner food around. Blue plate specials range from traditional New England dishes to creative reinterpretations of comfort food favorites. I have never had a bad meal at the Red Arrow and I have never had to request that my food be redone. Chicken tenders to steak and eggs, not a bad choice on the menu. Portions are huge and more than one meal. The cakes and pies are homemade and to die for. My favorites are the Carrot cake and the banana cream pie! You can order pies and cakes ahead of time for parties and the holidays. They also make fresh pork pies which are a local favorite. Waitstaff are friendly and quick. Open 24 hours, the Red Arrow is a favorite spot for late night, post bar hopping breakfast. Located right off Elm st on Lowell st., you can easily get there from popular Manchester night spots. AMAZING people watching after 1 am! You will experience a wait after the bars let out and weekend mornings for breakfast. It gets really crowded, but its TOTALLY WORTH IT. If it is your first time at the Red Arrow make sure you let your waitress know!!!!!! Pick up is an option and recommended it you dont want to deal with the crowds. I love the Red arrow.

Found this diner today while driving to NH. Three adults sat in a booth for four with no problems. The server was friendly and patient. He came three times before we had decided on what to order. He was helpful and had a good personality. The food came quickly and all three had zero complaints. Portions were generous and as ordered. Arrow burger omelette was delicious. Meatloaf was homemade and real mashed made a great comfort food meal. Only negative I saw was its not handicap accessible with two steps to go up after you open the small doors. I would return again as its open 24/7. Great value overall and even bought a whole pie for home. Thumbs up. Bought lemon raspberry pie.. thumbs down for icing on top of pie.. meal was very good. Pie not so much.

While competing and judging at the ICS World Championship Chili Cook-off, I overheard more than one person speak of eating at the "Red Arrow Diner." All I kept hearing was the that food was great, the place was small. Coming from NY and working for many years in NJ, I appreciate a good diner. I ran into the owner, who was also judging at "The Worlds." I told him that his reputation presided him. "Though he be small, he be mighty!" How true. What a great diner. The food was wonderful and served fast and hot. Prices were good, menu was varied and tempting. I hope that the "Worlds" will be held in Manchester next year. I hear they make a great breakfast.

Very friendly and helpful service its unique because famous people have gone there and its been on the Food Network TV show divers drives and Dives including are now president and his son its got the pleasure of sitting in that seat the only thing strange is that you have to use the restroom thats actually inside the kitchen where they make the food and if its your first time they are the wait staff makes it know and brings it to everyones attention to start singing some type of song like they did to me lol they give you some stickers to wear after the whole announcement of you being there the first I would definitely return to this place again

I think the Red Arrow Diner is overrated. My wife and I took our kids there a couple of times after hearing so much about it. Its got a great location and great atmosphere. The service is very friendly as well. However, the food was pretty bad. One of my kids ordered waffles and the waffles were pre made and they simply reheat them on the griddle. Also, some of their entrees seem heavy and not very original. Also, we tried some of their pie and it wasnt very good. This is a great place, except for the food!

Wide variety of diner food. 24/7 breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Offers everything under the sun at a decent price. Has lots of "homemade" items on the menu including baked beans and cole slaw. Even though I am not a dessert person, Ive heard many wonderful things about the chocolate peanut butter creme pie. I would recommend the strawberry short cake which offers a sweetness in the marinaded strawberries, a lightness in the bottom yellow cake and a fluffy heaping amount of whipped cream. Leaves you satisfied.

First of all, for those of you that are complaining about service, youre idiots. This isnt Friendlys. The Red Arrow is a diner about the size of your living room and its BUSY always no matter when you go. Also you can order for take out if crowded places are not for you. (do most people not know this?) The food is great, the wait staff are kind, sweet people, and the prices are low considering the mammoth portions that are placed upon you. Get the chilli cheese omlette with hash browns!

I usually get speedy service here and I enjoy seeing which famous people sat in my seat. The menu is large and I can find some vegetarian entrees that make me happy. I also really appreciate that this place is open all the time. Still, I need to take a star off because, while there are veg options, the selection is lacking for the size of the menu. Ive been to other diners out of state that are more successful including fresh local veggies on the menu.

Was very excited to visit this place. Hit a few local watering holes to work up the appetite and stopped in late. Ordered the prime rib stew which was on special on the dry erase board. I got a plate of gravy and beef. No vegetables in the stew, no sides, no bread. I hesitated to even review the place because this was so odd. I guess my plate of gravy was good but surely that is a pretty poor dinner overall. Wish I just got an omelette.

Simply one of the best diners I have been to. Deserves nothing but 5 stars. And their rep as a Top 10 diner in the country - absolutely holds good. Highlights: - Really big menu with plethora of choices - Great location: right where everything is in Manchester - Staff is very hard working - Decor / Ambiance: very retro yet old school Tip: expect wait times during weekends. Best time to go - obviously weekdays.

Classic Manchester spot, open 24 hours a day and great when you need to get some breakfast at 4 in the morning. I think the food is not particularly good, even for dinner food, but thrives due to a complete lack of legitimate competition. I find it hard to quantify my specific gripes, but what I can say is that as a lover of dinner food I rarely go here even though its a short walk from home.

I have been to the Manchester Red Arrow about a dozen times along with this Londonderry location. I went back in March and my account wasnt charged until three months later... I thought this was a fraudulent charge when it showed up on my report. I dont know of any other place that will do this? But if youre looking for cheap, greasy breakfast food 24 hours a day, this is the place to go.
