Nobu was one of the biggest restaurant disappointments for us ever. Why? Let me explain: Nobu pretends to be a traditional Japanese restaurant with Peruvian flavors. However, in reality it embodies everything which is wrong with American hip ethnic restaurants. 1. The food is simply not good. The seafood is only semi-fresh and definitely not at the quality level the price would suggest. 2. The flavors of EACH dish we had were totally overdone. Mostly the dishes were just over salted to the maximum. Others were super sour or too sweet. Japanese and Peruvian cuisines are known for preserving the distinct flavors of the ingredients - Nobu overpowered every single dish with the sauces and seasonings (yes even the sushi). The only dish which was okay was their signature black miso cod - but we definitely had better. 3. The service was ok but not great. Servers were rushed and didnt do a good job explaining their huge menu. 4. The interior of the restaurant feels like they are trying too hard to make it look "cool and hip". The setting inside is way too dark - I have seen 10+ guests using their cellphone lights to be able to read the menu. 5. Worst for my wife and me was that the quality of their ingredients were definitely way off. We are both very used to seafood and raw fish - but we both had terrible diarrhea right after the dinner. Overall, Nobu felt like a Japanese version of the Cheese Cake Factory to us. A huge menu with okayish food but nothing is particularly good because they are trying too hard to appeal to the average American taste. Definitely not coming back. Totally overhyped - there are WAY better options in Vegas at that price level.

My family and I have been coming to Nobu Caesars for years. We start talking about what we are going to order literally weeks before we arrive - we loved it that much. We were never disappointed - until my most recent visit on March 24th, 2017. I GOT FOOD POISONING. I was forced to spend half of my once-a-year trip to Vegas in my hotel room. I didnt eat or drink anything after the meal - it could not have been anything else. Im never one to write feedback such as this since I do believe that when dealing with raw seafood, a bad lot is bound to happen. What I do expect is for the restaurant to take responsibility. When we emailed the manager (Aaron Hopwood) about the incident, I was encouraged to hear that they did a full inspection of the menu that night to attempt to find the root cause of the food poisoning. What I was not encouraged to hear was that they took ZERO responsibility for getting me sick. Aarons answer was that because no-one else had complained and they didnt find any bad fish that it must not have been them. Really? I expect that from the corner Chinese Restaurant - not one of the top sushi restaurants in the world. Not everyone is going to go thru the trouble to complain and everyones body responds differently to what they eat. Im not looking for a free meal, Im just looking for one of my favorite restaurants to accept responsibility and acknowledge what their $300/person meal did to a good customer. I should be able to expect nothing else. Unfortunately, well be visiting another sushi restaurant in vegas next year.

Let me give you an honest account of what happened at Nobu this weekend. It was my wifes birthday and we made reservations at Nobu, the honest truth is that we didnt know there were two locations in Vegas. We showed up on time at the Nobu hotel location to find out our reservation was at the Nobu at hard rock. The interesting part is that we were still seated at the Nobu hotel location. We found out about the error when I asked the server about the tasting menu I was so looking forward to trying( they didnt offer the tasting menu at this location). The worst part of this experience was the way we were treated by the front of the house staff. It was appalling! there was zero attempt to try and remedy the situation, they made it seem like it was our fault. we were more or less asked to leave because we didnt have a reservation. To have to get up and leave after you have already been seated with drinks is pretty embarrassing. to top it off when we were leaving I caught one of the hostesses rolling her eyes at us, to not create a scene I kept my mouth shut but my blood was boiling. I am an ACF certified executive Chef and have been in the hospitality industry for over a decade and have never been treated so poorly at a high end restaurant. I have eaten to Nobu in NYC and it was great. To be fair Im sure the food at Nobu in Vegas is amazing but the service was laughable, I would never go back. Luckily there are many great restaurants in Vegas that wanted our business and we still made it on time to the Pitbull concert.

Nobu has been on my list for a while because of the rave reviews. Im a little disappointed I didnt absolutely love it. We arrived in the early evening around 530p and decided to take a place at the bar. Bartender was prompt and informative but not especially colloquial. The restaurant offered a cold and hot bento box. We opted to share the cold bento, which included 4 pcs sashimi (yellowtail, snapper), a roll with tuna/salmon/avo, and 3 pcs sushi (toro, ebi, albacore). The fish is really fresh, great textures. The yellowtail as presented with a pepper, cilantro leaf, sitting in a highly acidic citrus dressing which was very overpowering. We also ordered the mixed seafood ceviche, which left our palate raw and worn. While the dish had a great mix of fish, clams, and octopus the dressing was too intense with the citrus dressing and we couldnt enjoy the natural flavor of the seafood. Highly disappointed. I enjoyed the Hakkata Nigori, which was very refreshing and not too sweet. The Iwai whisky pour was nice and smooth, not too much burn. Pricing overall was pretty high for our experience.

Mmmmm. I had a well-cooked, delicious black cod miso that just melted in my mouth. It was a reasonably large portion too. However, the boyfriend had a less-than-perfect experience. This place isnt very well-suited for vegetarians, even though they told us there were many vegetarian options when we called. We told our waiter we wanted entrée-sized dishes instead of small plates to share because of our differing diets, and he recommended a combo of veggie and tofu tobanyaki for my boyfriend. We asked if there was anything else, and our waiter returned from the kitchen with an offer of tofu with cantaloupe salad and eggplant puree. The boy opted for this instead, but it turned out to be so tiny it was barely an appetizer. The waiter was very accommodating and courteously apologized before promptly switching the tofu for the tobanyaki. However, this ultimately meant we couldnt eat together at the same time. Based on my entrée alone, Nobu gets 5 stars. However, considering the timing fiasco and the exorbitant $30 for tofu and veggies, Im bumping it down to 4.

Ate at Nobu Sunday night with friends. We were feeling adventurous, so we decided to let the chef choose our dishes, which were all very delicious UNTIL....the next day. As it turns out, Nobu serves Butterfish, also known as Escolar, a fish that is banned in Japan, Italy and Sweden because of its well-known propensity to cause severe diarrhea. If youre curious, read all about the side effects of Butterfish, a.k.a. Black Cod, a.k.a. White tuna consumption on the LiveStrong web site. Without going into graphic detail, suffice it to say I could not leave my hotel room the following day. I feel it is irresponsible for Nobu to serve this fish without warning its. patrons of the nasty side effects. I also spent the last 1/2 hour on hold trying to speak, with a manager at Nobu after having left a message yesterday - no response. Oh, and our meal was over $570 dollars. Never again!
