My husband & I had dinner at Bella Vino this evening (April 7th). It was a lovely night to sit on the patio and an overall pleasant experience, but we do have mixed reviews/suggestions for improvement. On the plus side, the food was delicious, as was the wine! We had 3 small plates: spicy meatballs, stuffed figs, and asparagus risotto. The server was attentive, although he mistakenly gave our risotto to another table so we had to wait for another order to be prepared (not a big deal, but confounding given there were only 3 couples seated at the time). The things we found disappointing: 1) paper napkins - When youre spending $90 for a meal (3 tapas + 2 glasses of wine each), cloth napkins would be nicer and more appropriate. 2) menus - Ive never been to a place that brought 5 menus to the table - 2 dinner menus (one for each of us), plus a specials menu, plus a wine menu, plus a beer/cocktail menu. It was messy and they kept blowing around outside. I would recommend a small clipboard or something for a more consolidated, cleaner presentation. 3) Im not a fan of the wine bottle for water on the table for 2 reasons. First, good service means the wait staff refill your water vs. do-it-yourself. Second, drinking water out of a previously used red wine bottle is unappealing and a bit tacky in my opinion. Removing the label would make it slightly better.

This place is beautiful inside and out. If you come by on a pleasant evening, you can enjoy their beautiful patio. But the exposed brick and the way the inside is decorated is delightful as well! After wandering around Oktoberfest and not finding any food that we were crazy about, my friend and I decided to go a completely different direction! My friend ordered a salad and I had the meat and cheese plate. The plate included three different salamis, two cheeses, dried fruit, mustard and nuts. The mustard was particularly delicious - I think it might have been a honey mustard. Our server was interesting....when my friend asked that her salad was served with the dressing on the side, he strongly advised her against it. She said thats was simply her preference. And he responded, "Well, its your life." That seemed pretty weird to us.....

We stopped in for a drinks one evening. They were having a food and tasting pairing dinner, so the place was packed. They have a great wine selection and the food looked amazing. The only problem was it took 25 minutes for our drinks to arrive and another 20+ minutes for someone to check on us. Those that were part of the food & wine pairing dinner, were checked on constantly. I would go back, but during a non busy time.

Had dinner here during a trip to St. Louis, and it was fantastic! We had a selection of flat breads, each unique and delicious in their own way. I dont think there was a bad item on the menu to be honest. The location is superb as well - an old historic home that makes excellent use of all the space it offers. Definitely on par with most high end restaurants in NYC. Would definitely come back again!

Not that great. The servings are very small and the plates came out one at a time. By the time the last person at our table was served, the others guests plates were cold. They were also out of the wine we ordered from the wine list. We set outside and did enjoy the nice atmosphere of St. Charles.

St. Charles Main Street is lovely. We were here late one evening, and had tapas at Bella Vino. 65 degrees in February! We sat out on the patio by the firepit. I had the spicy meatball, the husband had the cobbler (yeah, started with dessert). Both were very good. Service was efficient and warm.

What an absolutely amazing little gem in Saint Louis. We brought a large group and were immediately accommodated. The service was spectacular, and was only rivaled by the food. Literally every dish out of the kitchen was amazing -- particularly their Bella Bonfire fondue. Highly recommend!

The food and ambiance were wonderful. The only downside was that they bring out the food "as its made" so not everyone at the table gets their food at the same time. One of my group didnt get her food until after the rest of us had finished and our plates had been cleared.

I ordered the $13 buffalo chicken nachos and ended up with a small dish that I could have made at home with a microwave. Our waiter was nice but service was slow. They ran out of the dessert we wanted even though they had only opened an hour earlier. I wont go back.

Went here for a birthday get together. I dont think Ive ever tasted anything as good as the stuffed mushrooms. Great food and the service was stellar. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice evening out enjoying good food, wine, and conversation.

Yup, deserves the stars for the quality and presentation of flavorful and fantastically prepared food. Tapas are their specialty, therefore, come when you can spend some time and just enjoy some wine and dine. Excellent customer experience provided as well.

The service was superb, the ambience delightful and the food delicious. A+ in every category. Fried asparagus salad is pretty unique. We had spicy meatballs, sliders, flatbreads, chicken spiedini, and hummus. All very good. Plus flights of wines!!

Absolutely awesome!! Great service, even better food! Awesome patio and great dinning room. If you go you must get the stuffed mushrooms and calamari!! Great wine list with many affordable options but great wine. A diamond in the rough on Main Street!

A terrific dining experience in historic Saint Charles. Every dish we had was terrific - while several of the specials were particularly memorable it was probably the chorizo stuffed dates that stood out as our favorite. Not to be missed!

Mothers Day brunch was a disaster. Outdoor reservation was refused when we got there. Long, long lines due to lack of food in the buffet. A lot of people standing around waiting for food causing traffic jams.
