Just went to eat there for my wifes first ever mothers day. There was a wait, which is understandable on a holiday. But, we then sat for another half hour before we were even looked at, despite me making eye contact with multiple servers and even verablly engaging them. We had our newborn daughter with us for what we thought would be an hour excursion at most, and had to leave because she was getting too hot. The only saving grace was the host, who helped us carry our stroller around the uneven patio, and who ultimately took our order when he saw that none of the wait staff was giving us the time of day. This place will never see as much as a penny of my hard earned money ever again.

We ate lunch outside over the summer and the food was mediocre. Service was pretty bad, but we decided we wanted to stay and enjoy the good weather and have some drinks. Our waitress informed us that we would have to go to the bar and get our own drinks after our food order was complete. She said "If I keep getting you drinks then I will be running back and forth to the bar the whole time". Wow. Despite that, we stayed and even had 5 other friends join us. We continued to get our drinks ourselves while the wait staff sat on the back porch smoking cigarettes and staring at the customers. The outside patio area is very nice and it is the only reason we stayed. I will not go back.

The food is average, with a few standouts, but nothing to write home about. The beer selection is impressive, but I dont like beer, so I cant really comment. My friends and I tend to sit on the patio on the occasions that we are there because its dog-friendly, although we always regret it because the service out there is awful. We once waited 45 minutes from when we got our food to when we saw our waiter again to ask for the check, 15 more minutes to get the check, and 15 minutes to pay so we could finally leave. We come here when we have dogs with us and were on this end of the block, but if youre willing to walk, Llewellyns has a better patio with better service and better food.

One bad experience. I went in for a drink one night and ordered. I handed the bar tender my card then found out there was a charge to use it. I paid and tipped in cash. They still charged me $10.00 to use my card. I tried calling them multiple times to refund my $10.00. It never happened. So, I suggest you pay with cash. Also, it gets smokey in the basement bar. They dont carry as many beers as they used too, but, they still have some cool ones. I really enjoy this place, other than they stole my money and it gets smokey.

Walking into the bar means wading through a cloud of smoke, and even the patio is really smoky. I wasnt able to try the food because the dining area was closed for a private party (on a Saturday night) - they said we could eat in the bar, but there is no way that is an option unless you want your food to taste like cigarettes. There are much, much better options in the area. Two stars instead of one only because of a nice server who went to check whether the kitchen was open.

Poor service, overpriced food and drink, lousy outdoor seating. Took over an hour to get two sandwiches - and the place wasnt anywhere near crowded. We saw our waiter twice during the hour and a half we were there. Both the beer and food were vastly overpriced for what you get. The outdoor patio is situated next to a stagnant pond which smells slightly like sewage and attracts swarms of mosquitos. Plenty of other nice places to eat on Main Street - avoid this one.

Great place to hangout and have some drinks. Outside patio is perfect for daytime drinking. Theres also a fire pit section for when it gets cold outside so thats a plus. Large beer selection and friendly service. Pricing is fair for the quality beer they have. If youre looking for a different atmosphere compared to most places in that area the downstairs bar is very quaint and worth checking out.

Enjoyed a very nice dinner on a busy late summer Saturday night. We sat inside because all the outside tables were reserved, and we decided it was the better choice. We shared a very tasty (BIG) slice of smoked prime rib, delicious mashed potatoes, veggies and a salad and a soup. Good wine good beer, very pleasant service -- although we werent in a hurry.

Tell only your best friends! This is my favoirite place in St Charles. I say "place" because it is far more than a bar or a restaurant! It a community of good EVERYTHING we all need...great food, great people, great beer, jammin tunes, zero attitude, awesome whiskey selections, AND dogs are people here too!

Always enjoy sitting outside here. The atmosphere is so tranquil compared to most places on Main St in St. Charles. The bartenders here are also a pleasure. Theyre always attentive and enjoy joking around with patrons. The beer selection is massive, so come ready to try a few flavors!

The atmosphere outside is great located right next to the stream and the downstairs bar is very rustic. Plenty of beer and liquor choices. The food is always really good and dont leave without have a basket, or 2, of Mill Fries. PS, make sure and say hello to Molly!

I have only been in the bar downstairs. Super nice bartender! They welcome dogs to, which is a huge plus for me! You can walk your puppies on main street, stop in here for a beer and bring your best friend right in with you! Thank you Andrea!

Very poor service, brought out beer and food that was different from what we ordered and didnt offer to bring the correct food out. Took over an hour for food, 30 minutes for a loaf of bread that was mediocre. Take your business elsewhere.

I have a lot of History with Old Millstream. Back in town, my son and I went. The food, beer and service was over the top. I am going back tonight with my brothers and son. A great place that brings Deuteronomy 14:26 alive with a smile.

The best things about this place are the dog-friendly patio and the beer selection. Its a great place to enjoy a unique brew with a canine companion. The food is just ok, but we go back repeatedly to enjoy the patio.

Staff was never around. Waited 30min to get a drink and then they brought the wrong drink. Waited another 20min for the right one. Food was bland and nothing special about it. 3 stars is for the ambiance only.
