The situation A wedding rehearsal dinner October 7th 2016. I ordered catering for 30 people with a few extra pounds of meat. The event was 30 miles or so from the restaurant in Cameron MO. The delivery time was 7:00 pm. We ordered Brisket and Pulled pork for our meats. Along with beans, coleslaw and potato salad, The experience The food was delivered on time (up 3 flights of stairs) and hot. The delivery person was very polite and made sure we had what we needed. We had more food than we could consume. (I am not complaining because I got the leftovers). The brisket was outstanding. It was tender cooked to perfection. Everyone and I mean everyone loved it. Comments were made like "the best EVER!!". I must admit I cant recall having a better BBQ brisket sandwich!!!. Plenty left after everyone ate their fill. I loved the sauce it was great. We had a bottle of your regular and hot. I didnt use very much because I live to savor the flavor of the BBQ. Excellent tasting beans, slaw and potato salad. I again was lucky because we had plenty of leftovers. The pulled pork, prior to Friday, I was not really a fan. However, if everyone made pulled pork like Wabash that would change. The spices were superb again very tender and delicious. Not very much left, which should tell you how good it really was. I would recommend Wabash to anyone who has to cater an event. If you want an excellent BBQ meal, make the drive to Wabash BBQ in Excelsior MO. Aree Robinson

Foods dry never known a bbq place to not serve mac n cheese, servers bad mouth food. When we asked for to go boxes with tons of food left not busy at all spoke to waitress and stepped outside finish drinks n smoke came back everything was cleared like it was extremely busy and they needed seats. After all that i asked for a refund for just the specific meal that i didnt touch or finish after took about 10 minutes to figure out who threw it out which wasnt the point the manager refused to give me a refund then another server came and stated she messed up can we give them a refund manager said yes right in front of me i laugh and she threatens to basically get police involved. Only reason its open is only thing in town open 7 days a week and its historic bulding. Ive tasted better bbq from sonic and they dont do bbq however the ribs were on point but then again how can you mess up ribs

Disappointing food, but a nice staff. I came here on recommendation from a friend who is a local. I ordered the Wabash sandwich with 12 oz of meat with a hoagie roll on the side. The brisket tasted store-bought with almost no BBQ / smoke flavor. The turkey not only didnt seem bbqd but it also had a hint of unappealing vinegar flavor. The roll was small, but there was enough meat left over for a second meal. The sauce was on the side, and had the consistence of maple syrup. Way too smooth for my taste. I ordered the food to-go and there were no utensils or napkins in the bag. The outdoor area seems great for a fun music and BBQ festival. And theres a huge parking lot. On my visit, most of the lot was full of sports cars parked on display. Probably a car club. Perhaps without those customers, the restaurant would have been mostly empty today.

The food was amazing, as it always is.I had called in a substantial order the day before to insure it would be ready. It wasnt. I have had that happen before, but they were swamped. I get that. There were very few customers in the restaurant. Very few. It took a long time for my order to be ready, and no one seemed to be concerned. I heard a lot of horse play rather than working. I asked for plates and forks and was charged for them. I had to go back and wait again while they got them. Thankfully I checked. We were moving and had no plates or utensils. Two of the orders of 4 sandwiches had the wrong meat. I was treating my moving helpers to the best meal in town as a thank you. Unfortunately, the service and seemingly lack of care in making my order right after waiting dampened the experience a good deal.

Not happy at all. My husband grew up in this town and absolutely loves the BBQ sauce, so we decided to have dinner there. ..who doesnt love smoked meat? The worse choice of food and service I have experienced in a long time. My meat was extremely fatty not too mention it had a very faint taste of smoke. My bread was so stale that it crumbled. My husbands bun was saturated in grease, and they had no customer service at ALL, they made me feel like I was an inconvenience to them, the hostess was constantly playing on her phone and when asked a simple question she answered with an rude attitude and keep walking. Not a recommendation I have received better food at Mc Donalds. Past disappointed

Very disappointed. Im less of a foody and more of a fatty, and took the 30 minute drive to try out this place over Christmas break. Ordered the sampler platter which was a good portion of food for $20. Ribs: Good taste, but were mushy. Brisket: Dry, not much smoke. Pork: Mushy, no smoke. Ham/chicken: Sliced deli meat that had sat in the smoker. We took home over half the dinner, and my boys didnt like it either. Might be the first time every that we have thrown away BBQ in my house. The beans were Pork and Beans with a squirt of BBQ sauce in it.

One visit was enough to not come back. Came on a busy day. Ordered inside. Pretipped the waitress well and grabbed tables outside with our group. Asked 3 times for my drink (took 1 hour for food to come out) and after an hour and a half. Still no drink. Waitress walked by. I asked her for my drink again. She rudely asked what did I order. I told her nevermind we are about to leave anyways. Her rude reply. "Well good" Never was once rude to the waitress and pretipped well. Not sure why the bad attitude.

Tuesday noon 50 of us were welcomed by Eric(manager). We were waiting for them to open and he came out into the parking lot and started taking orders!! Things just got better from there. Oh yes, the ribs are good and so is everything else. With a group as large as ours were dont usually get good service, but I was impressed he got the orders in, the kitchen got the orders out and it was good!!! Say hi to Eric---hes the best and he will take care of you!! Enjoy

Rapist and child molester on their staff; be careful if you bring kids or if you are a young woman drinking here. Shame on this business that is located next to a school, serves alcohol, and claims to be family friendly to hire someone like that. As for the restaurant itself...the meat is either dry or soggy and bland like they boil it. No rubs used. The sauce is bland. The service is bad. The bands they have might be good but the acoustics is so bad you cant tell.

I work only a few blocks from Wabash and have eaten there many times. The service is excellent, the food is great, the atmosphere is alright, but the temperature control is poor. So be sure to bring your jacket in if you visit in the winter. About one out of three times I order my food its either over cooked/dry or theyre just out of a particular meat. Although the quality of service and food is enough to keep me coming back.
