The food is good, but they need a new cashier, she always has a bad attitude. When waiting in the car for my food, the owner was outside walking and pacing near my car looking in the car like my husband and I were up to no good. We 50 plus in age, lol. We just spent money in this establishment and I couldnt believe what I was seeing. Im done spending my money with people that get rich off of African Americans and try to treat us any old way. We need to start supporting our own businesses. The attitudes of this establishment tells it all, but no one want to omit what they are seeing because the food is good. Ill drive way to St Paul to Hickory Hut, which is who they are copying anyways. But atleast they treat their customers with respect. Plus their business is not clean, nasty bathroom. Health department needs to go check them out and they have nerve to be distrusting of everyone that spends money at their establishment.

I just ate there today. I ordered a large rib tips with red beans and rice and fries. The red beans and rice were spoiled and yeasty. The cashier girl was rude. She insisted over the phone that I was lying, so I wasted my time driving back to the restaurant and returning the red beans and rice. She smelled them and made a face and threw the styrafoam container away. Ill never eat anything from there. Better off going to the Firebox for barbecue on 4707 North Lyndale.

Now they are extra full of crap. They screwed up my order, when I called that night they said no worries we will replace it, just ask for the manager. Today I try to get a replacement and "magically" they have new owner and no clue what I was talking about. Pretty sure it was the same guy on the phone.

This place has the worst rib tips Ive ever tasted in my life. The rib tips were over cooked, very hard and the red beans and rice was just disgusting. Rice was very hard and not done. I will never eat her again.
