A real gem in a awful location. Its hard to find little BBQ place in Minnesota, but a lot like you find all over in other BBQ-mania parts of the country. This place is just one of those friendly, relaxing, get some good food and beer places that I crave. Their menu is nothing out of the ordinary from other large chain restaurants, but it doesnt have that production line feel to it; more like home-made. To go with the food, you can get an honest tap beer, which is a "must have" when noshing on smoked hog. For the first-timers, Id suggest going with either the pulled pork or the brisket, with a pile of sweet potato fries, corn bread, and a tall Nordeast on tap. Finish that up with a piece of cheesecake and youll likely have a new favorite haunt.

Brisket was cold and Hardly brisket that was incredibly hard to chew, its was more like 3 chunks of cold prime rib that was mostly fat. Ive been coming here for years until recently when they were going over new ownership, they used to have the best beans around and the best bbq sauce and brisket too! Today my family and I decided to give the new guys a shot and we got 3 cold pieces of fat brisket that was arguably 3 small steak strips, the food was cold and not even close to worth 12 dollars. Unless they learn how to cut their meat or cook there meat I wouldnt go back. But I guess the beans were alright but the only reason that they show 4 stars now is because of the previous reviews over the past years. Not deserved now.

Great food, no service This is legit barbeque, but the service is abismal. Ribs, chicken, beans and creamed corn were great. Both front of house staff were indifferent/surley. I got a half full cup of soda to start and could not get either persons attention as I waited at the counter to get a refill. Our food was first served to another table and then picked up a couple minutes later and brought to us. Luckily we heard the former recipients saying they didnt touch it... Id come back for carry-out, but only if I was in the area.

Stopped by for the Wednesday special and was overcharged. Tried to reason with the staff on hand had and was referred to management who would not be in until the next day. We had decided not to return even though we enjoy the bbq here. When we contacted management we were met with apologies and even a call back from the owner who was working on fixing the problems we encountered. With this concern about customer service we will try them again. Hopefully the evening staff gets the training they need.

Dixie Blue has seriously gone downhill since they changed owners. Three of us went and ordered their baby back ribs and brisket. The ribs were incredibly bland, tough and overcooked. The brisket was really dry and fatty and they forgot to give us any cornbread with our meals. The sides were decent, but it sure as hell wasnt worth the inflated price. None of us were happy with our food and we most likely wont be ordering from here again, which is sad, because we used to love this place.

Love it, love it, love it! We live within walking distance of this restaurant and are frequent customers. Excellent family-owned joint. The regular BBQ sauce is one of my favorites. Ribs, rib rips, brisket, pulled pork, chicken - its all excellent. Ive tried most everything and havent had something I didnt like. Their cornbread is phenomenal and my wifes personal favorite side is the sweet potato fries. Definitely worth the trip if you have a little drive.

Weve been going to Dixie Blue since it opened. No matter the time of day you go, the meat is ALWAYS tender, juicy and delicious. Generous portions and seasoned perfectly. Why anyone goes to a Famous Daves when they have this in the neighborhood is completely baffling. Weve never been disappointed in any of the food. The fries are delicious as well which is just the cherry on top. Try the beef brisket sandwich!! Its huge and perfection on a bun!

Average BBQ for slightly above average price. Nothing special about it, although the cornbread is topped with a unique syrup-and-jalapeno-bits drizzle. The main negative is that out of the six of us who ate there, three were feeling sick by the time we got home. I barely made it. Mysteriously, I was brave enough to eat leftovers the next day with no ill effect. But stomach bugs aside, poke through my reviews for better options.

Stop in for lunch on a recommendation my friend. I liked the ambience of the restaurant with his wooden tables and metal chairs. There is indoor and outdoor seating in a nice neighborhood. Have the two ribs and pulled pork special for lunch and both were very good. Ribs were well-seasoned serve with hot french fries and tasty baked beans. Definitely worth putting on your list to eat lunch or dinner.

Waited on our food for over an hour when the restaurant had three customers. Finally received my salad after an hour, then got my burger which was cold and still raw. Had high expectations coming in but was completely let down. After getting my order a second time around it was surprisingly good. Still the worst service I have ever received. Maybe famous daves wouldve been the better choice.

Good food at a decent price. The hot bbq doesnt hit you like a wall of flames (good) but increases with intensity and has good flavor. Always had very nice people behind the counter. Ive had the cornbread, sweet potato fries and coleslaw. Enjoyed the pulled pork and brisket...ribs could use a little work but they are tasty, just a tad dry. Overall I really enjoy a meal at Dixie Blue BBQ.

Great food! Wonderful aroma. Love this place! I recommend all the BBQ. My favorite sandwiches are the Pulled Pork, the Brisquet, and I am a huge fan of the Chicken & Wild Rice Soup! I have not found a soup or chili I did not like from Dixie Blue and I try to eat there at least once a week! Its hard to try the rest of the menu when you have favorites.

We used to order from here twice a week. Then they were closed due to management change. Then they were closed longer than promised. Then they stayed closed due to computer malfunction. Then they closed for catering mothers day weekend. This all over a two month period. Im tired of getting their voicemail. Ive given up trying. Used to be great food.

Under new ownership. Everything is now smoked and cooked on site and it is sooooo good! We got the brisket and rib tips and loved them both! The corn bread was more like corn dough... They may still be working on it though since this is still their first full week open. Well definitely be back!

Everything here was very, very good. The lunch prices were phenomenal for the portion sizes. For $10 I got two ribs, a pile of brisket, fries, and baked beans. Im not really a brisket person, but the stuff here changed my opinion entirely. Will definitely be back again.

Good Quick service. Food was not good at all. Everything meat wise was very bland. The slow smoked brisket didnt taste smoked, and was very fatty. It also seemed a little high priced. Which wouldnt be to bad if the food was good.
