Nice, clean little place. Workers were friendly enough. Meals, however, are a bit too much on the pricey side. Are they worth it? In my opinion, unfortunately, no. They seem quite stingy about their fries, offering to make you a combo of either "side fries" or "full fries" for an even larger sum on top of the already steep sandwich prices. They did taste quite good, though. On the other hand, the sandwich itself was not very great or filling. The Philly cheese steak sandwich, specifically, was smaller than your average Philly and a tad scarce on the meat. Had a decent enough taste for what little there was. The real atrocity, though, was the milkshake. They werent able to fulfill my first request for a strawberry banana milkshake, so I opted for a chocolate banana milkshake instead. My mistake was taking my meal to-go, so I didnt know how absolutely awful it tasted until I was already at home. I didnt taste any hint of chocolate, nor any banana goodness, for that matter. Oddly enough, the only way to really describe the shake is "root beer vomit," which I dont think I have to tell you is the absolutely wrong taste for any kind of milkshake. Unless it is, of course, a week-old root beer milkshake. I might have liked to come back and try a burger some other time instead, but to fail at making even a simple milkshake is simply too much for me. My money, and hopefully yours, is better spent elsewhere.

The story here is they dont know how to make the food right but it makes up for how good it is. They got us frosted lemonade instead of regular, got plain burgers which we ordered a lot of toppings, switched our shakes so I was drinking the wrong one the whole time until my mom told me how good hers was which was mine! Their whole staff isnt very good about getting the order right. The girl at the register didnt put our order in right, the ones making the food cant tell which shake is which, the person in charge was even messing up. There were 3 other tables I saw were pretty unhappy. The food is a little much if u buy a meal but its so good I think its worth it. Chili cheese fries amazing, shakes great, burgers too! If they can get order taking right they would be better otherwise its safe to say its better than Mcdonalds

Hope they make it. The owner is very nice and on site, which is very different for a fast food atmosphere. Increase the syrup content in the drinks, add some more flavor to the burgers and fries and make the place look more nostalgic or some type of "way back" feel. There is tough competition for what this place does. I do appreciate the fresh burger on a flat grill, but they are up against other burgers that have the secret formula that makes me want to eat more. My reason to go back (if I do)...support a local franchise owner Im guess. I hope its not the only source to fund their retirement. Two stars for clean and nice owner on site.

Nice place. Restrooms are clean. Soda pop fountain machine is not waster down. Reasonable food prices. A combo deal would be nice but like other restaurants of this food style type its still good foe the buck. Military discount of 15%. one wall mounted tv. Its nice but there is a dang ceiling speaker pushing out the radio kusic next too it. Wayback has a rewards program. Wish I known abput the program 10 meals ago. Restaurant floor is kept pretty clean. Emploees actually smile and talk. Nit human robots like a certain Clown place I prefer this place to Smashburger.

Pros: Good food Fantastic shakes/malts Good variety of menu options Cons: Very Expensive Decor isnt really retro, its actually very plain I had two plain hot dogs, French fries, and my girlfriend had a veggie burger. We also had two shakes, and the total was over $25. Thankfully it isnt a sit down restaurant so we didnt have to put a tip into that total. The shake I had however was easily one of the best Ive ever had (Mint Oreo). The fries were tasty and hot, and the food was cooked well. Its worth a try if you have the money for it

The food is great! It loses 1 star because it took about half an hour before our burgers were ready, and my BF had ordered the Mac n Cheese Bites, and we had to prompt them bring them out (after the half-hour wait), to which they said they had accidentally taken his order to another table that had also ordered the Bites. The staff were very polite and apologetic about the wait and the mix-up, but I would have preferred they get it right the first time. Ill probably eat here again, but only when I have the time to wait.

Thanks for the coupon, I only had to waste $15. Poorly thought up..no meals, every thing must be ordered separately. Once youve ordered, do you sit down or stand and wait for the food. Oh, ok, Ill sit and theyll call my name..somebody else has your name..they get your food. The food, there is nothing Wayback about it..the burgers are watered down smashburgers. Dont ask for condiments on your burger, youll get 6 ounces of catsup & mustard. Too many nice places to eat in Woodbury, go across the street.

Had a coupon so tried this place. Ordered a patty melt - as pictured on board with with appeared to be sour dough bread toasted. Looked very appealing - however when it arrived the sour dough bread was really a hamburger bun on top turned upside down - not toasted - just mushy - asked manager about the appearance of the sour dough bread on item pictured on wall and he said this is how they make it - basically a hamburger with the bun turned inside out - not appealing and the taste was ok - not returning

The owners could not be any nicer if they tried. The place is always clean and tidy which is a huge point with me! I certainly havent tried everything on the menu but the patty melt is outstanding and some of the specials I have tried are awesome. A really nice change of pace from the Burger Kings etc. I am sorry ... I really dont understand some of the negative reviews ... this is NOT a 5 Star dine in restaurant so just dont come in looking for one. For a burger place, this place is great.

i stopped here on 8/18/17 and ordered a burger for me and my girlfriend because we had a gift card for here we ordered two burgers she wanted it made her way and they did not put raw onions on it i ordered a rodeo burger and they barely put onions rings on it it was poorly made and 5 minutes after finishing eating my burger they brought me my chili cheese fries the service was terrible the food wasnt that good but over all there are better places you can eat at then this place

Four meals ordered. The first three came out spread by about 10 minutes. We had to ask for the fourth meal before they brought it and it was cold, likely had been sitting in the kitchen and nobody bothered to bring it out. Everything on the tables, ketchup and mustard bottles, napkin dispenser, and salt/pepper shakers were disgusting. Two stars for hiring what appeared to be an entirely autistic staff.
