On our first experience we had take out. The only thing I can say about the ambiance is that the dining room looked very nice but was unoccupied on an early Saturday evening. I wont go 3 stars here since the restaurant is located in a most unimpressive mini-mall and the location is not very accessible. We were greeted by an older man who was not the most amiable sort and did not give me the feeling that I was gratefully welcome. We purchased the food with a credit card and I showed him a printout of their online coupon for 10% off which he casually dismissed without affording me a shred of deference. How rude. Our meal was excellent though. The sauces are very creamy and rich and I would recommend that highly. If you want excellent Indian food, hopefully you can find this place without too much trouble, but dont expect to be treated like a prince. Will we return? Maybe. Maybe not. Update: I have been going to this place for lunch once a month and the service has been very good.

Been here a few times now, and it is hands-down the best Indian restaurant I have found in the metro area. Consistently good service, reasonable pricing (especially on apps), and I havent found a bad menu item yet. Heat levels are also quite variable. They have no shortage of knock-your-socks-off heat if you ask for it (first restaurant I have found in a while where I never find myself reaching for more spices), but almost all items are full of flavor - even if you are so Minnesotan that table pepper is at the top of your spice threshold. TL,DR:. Very nice folks, nice pricing, awesome food.

This review will help for folks from India and asian countries. This was my first visit with family, for dinner on Sept 2nd. I ordered veg biryani with less spice. I was shocked to see biryani ready with in 5 minutes - which was nothing but pulav. White color (turn off) veg pulav with hint of biryani masala(barely). I told the serving folks there that this is not a biryani, and they said this is how they serve biryani there.. they did not even attempt to make it better. To me worth 2 star only. Nothing gr8 to write about food. Standard stuff.

I agree with only two of the 22 other reviews. The food was terrible. The naan bread was drier than Ghandis sandals and the Biryani not much better. Chicken with boiled onion and raw carrot!?! Didnt look or taste like any chicken tikka Ive ever had. The waiter was polite! Definitely not worth the $60 bill. When asked if wed like desert we declined and wanting to stay on good terms with my dog, I also declined the doggy bag. I come from the midlands in England where good authentic Indian food is readily available. This is not even close!

We were greeted immediately and the service was friendly and prompt. It isnt a fancy place, but it was nice. Husband and I had dinner and chose 2 different chicken dishes in a sauce. They were both excellent. Bread was fresh and we had a fried appetizer that I dont remember the name of, but it had onions, spices, potatoes, and spinach in it that I devoured. We were out looking for cars and this restaurant was right next door (almost). It was a very happy accident. If you like Indian food....you will not be disappointed.

I never heard of this place until I got a Google Offers deal. I went there this afternoon for lunch and found the place to be great. They have the BEST Indian food in the twin cities I know of so far. My parents who are visiting from India were also there and they loved the place as well. Their Paneer Makhani was great and very authentic. Location is the biggest drawback. Besides that, they are the best Indian place I have found so far. I highly recommend Bukhara.

My familys favorite spot, we made it a tradition and look forward to it every week. And when we moved here we tried 3 other Indian restaurants before being told about it. My daughter is 5 and she loves it as well. Best naan Ive ever had, really every dish Ive tried I liked. The paneer is great, and we all love their mango lassi. My only wish would be a beef entree featured on the lunch buffets. Oh its also affordable and they have excellent attentive staff.

We randomly selected to eat at this restaurant for their lunch buffet and it was extremely worth every penny. When we sat down I wasnt sure what to expect, the staff was very friendly and kind, the food was delicious, the bread was warm and fresh.. The best part yet.. The ticket was far less than I expected! Which is always great because it leaves more room for tips. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. Well worth it! :)

This restaurant has awesome Indian food and great vegetarian options for vegetarians like me. The flavors are exquisite and flavorful. The atmosphere is calm and peaceful and has nice people working here. I compliment the chefs on how well done their cooking is. I always wanted to find an Indian buffet to go to and I found a really good place. We will definitely have this restaurant as one of our regulars.

The food was delicious. The flavors for each dish we had were so tasty and scrumptious. For appetizer we got the sampler and entree was chicken tikki marsala. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. Took him a minute to realize a drink needed to be refilled but we didnt have to flag him down and ask for it. All in all it was a great experience. Dont plan on going any where else for indian cuisine.

This is my favorite Indian restaurant in the greater Twin Cities area (followed closely by Gandhi Mahal in Minneapolis). I have only ever ordered takeout, so I can only comment on that. The food is always made fast and really reasonably priced. My favorites are the Malai Kofta and Chicken Makhani. Delicious! The samosas are also fantastic. Best place to fulfill that Indian craving. :)

Outstanding!! We have been hear several times and we love every single time. The food is outstanding and the staff exceptional. Everytime we walk in they treat us like we are their favorite customers coming to visit again! So nice to feel like the restaurant is happy you are there. And the buffet is delicious, the menu items fantastic. A true Indian cuisine experience. You must go!

Dont know why this place has 4.2 rating.. The daal was all dried up and biryani was without any flavor. Chicken kabab and chicken tandori seemed like it was cooked last week.. And then there was Ras Malai.. It was hard as a rock and had more flour taste than cream.. i think i now know the reason of less price than other places.. Wont be coming here again.. Disappointed..

This is my favorite Indian restaurant in the Twin Cities. I dont know if they remember me, but I always feel like they do, which goes a long way. Everything I have had has been good, but lately I cant seem to get beyond ordering the Vegetarian Dinner for Two. The last time I was here, there were three of us, and we still ordered it, and still had food to take home.

I have been to this place a number of times since I moved here last summer. Everything is delicious, portions could be larger but this is the norm at most Indian restaurants. My wife and I are from NY , a town called Hicksville has dozens of restaurants and a massive Indian population, the food at bukhara is just as good as the best restaurants in hicksville.
