I took my two daughters there since it was a new restaurant and we love Indian Cuisine. What a mistake!! The place was busy but we were seated after several other people came in after us. Lets just say we were the only people in there that were not from India. Finally we were seated and a very nice girl working there asked a tall waiter to take our order as we had been waiting. He was so angry, totally furious and they started yelling in another language. Finally he relents and then is completely rude to us the rest of the evening. My daughters kept asking me if we could please just leave. We love India Palace and they wanted to go over there. While all the people around us were being served by happy and friendly waiters and seemed to be eating shortly after sitting down, we had to wait for 2 hours. The manager and the very nice lady who worked there did come over and give us free cans of coke and told us the waiter had "lost" our order. Later our waiter showed up and said the printer had refused to print our order. When I questioned him about his story he became furious. Holy cow, Im sure I would have been smacked in the face had we been Indian women. The food was only ok and none of our side dishes showed up. The whole thing was a terrible waste of time. Then our check came and there was naan on there that should not have been and we had been told that they would discount our order since we had waited and waited so long. There was no discount and there were sides on there that we never ordered nor that we were given. Of course I showed my ridiculous waiter and he wanted to argue. By now I no longer cared. I told him how much I was willing to pay, I wrote it down on paper, line for line for him per dish, and thats how much I gave him. The manager came over and apologized but I could never tell anyone to go there. I personally think the waiter did not like that we were not from his country of origin and he just did not want us in there. But to be so nasty and rude....foolish behavior by a grown man. I WILL NEVER GO BACK AND I DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE.

Horrible experience! 1) We ordered our food (1 dosa, 1 biryani and 1 entree) and we waited for up to 15 mins until the server came to our table and let us know that the kitchen is very busy and order will be late. We appreciated him telling us about it and didnt mind the delay if it was just that. But then the food did not arrive for another 30 mins (45 mins since we ordered) and then we reminded him of the order. Supposedly the kitchen had missed our order!! Our food arrived 1 hour after the order 2) Biryani had too much salt in it - Tasted bad. 3) The Tandoori Nan was undercooked and we could taste the raw flour. We sent the Nan back and the new Nan was better but still unlike better Nans we have had elsewhere. 4) Then the bill - I paid the bill using my credit card and added 15% tip while signing since I didnt want the waiter to suffer because of the kitchen and bad management. However I did a double take when I checked my credit card activity after the charge had completely posted - the idiots had decided to take liberty and charge me more than what I had signed. It is only $2 more than the total but to me it frustrates me because it is cheating and being dishonest. I am pursuing this with the management.

Me and my wife visited this place on a friday evening 8:00PM. By the time we came out it was 10:15PM! We really had worst experience. Servicing was very poor. Serving staff and especially owner was rude. Clearly serving staff and I suspect cooks are under staffed! When we went restaurant was full to its capacity, if they cant serve customers who ordered food and waiting at tables then they should not take new take away orders and take in new customers! They served my naan and chicken curry and after about 45mins they serve my wifes birayani! It was cold and they took 45mins to serve it. After mentioning to every server and owner they served cold birayani! When I told owner that we are waiting for birayani he was telling me they are busy and asking me to adjust! We ordered Appetizers samosa and chilli chicken. They took 20 mins to bring samosa (taste good), after 20 mins they server chilli chicken (taste ok), after 20 mins they server naan and chicken curry (taste good) and finally after 45 mins they server cold birayani (taste bad). After we had our appetizers we thought we will visit this place again! But after this experience no way! I will not visit again.

Gave this restaurant many chances, but they failed to prove their worth. I and my husband visited the restaurant and asked to be seated in a booth (coz of a back problem). They seated us on one of the tables as none of the booths were available, and the manager (I guess) later seated us in a booth. To our dismay, the waiter started arguing with us over why we changed the table!! And he was frowning at us the entire time and constantly complained how much inconvenience we had caused him. Let us eat in peace! Ask us why we did not leave? Well, we love their food. (Used to love, rather) I think they have changed their chef recently and the taste of many north indian curries are just plain cream - no flavor, absolutely no difference if you order a paneer masala or a malai kofta curry. Ordered an egg biryani (Take away obviously!! Never dining in again!) and found a 2" chunk of meat in it. Go home Cross contamination, Bawarchi doesnt give an eff what you think. They have absolutely no customer recovery plan. Have had enough! Never going back. Go to Surabhi, Bloomington or India Palace, Eden Prairie and save yourself the pain.

The biryani is good, however the other north indian dishes are too thin and do not have the authentic north indian feel. The waiters and the folks who manage the front desk need a desperate training on soft skills, and have to ensure they demonstrate warmth and genuine interest in welcoming the guests to the restaurant. Most times Ive seen folks at the front desk who wear either long faces or just want to take my order and do what is required. As a restaurant owner you would know by now, that people visit a restaurant for an experience and not just for food. And I am sure youd have visited many restaurants in the past and also in the present. Just ask yourself how well you want to be treated, and who all in the restaurant will play an active part in it, and ensure that the same folks play their role well in your restaurant. The symptoms that are plaguing your restaurant are not unique, but it needs to be addressed objectively and urgently. Else have an exit plan ready, coz youll not survive at this rate.

We went on a weekend. Firstly we were amazed with the amount of traffic they had on a weekday evening. So let me first speak about what we liked: Food was excellent - baby corn manchuria, panneer tikka masala, garlic naan and the ghee roast dosa. Excellent food quality and taste. Now coming to what didnt go well: Service is worst. We asked for a booth and were given one right after the door. There were 2 more booths at the back but the owner said its not available (mainly was not cleaned). So he kept a face as if to take what you got. There was just one person attending to all the requests & one person bringing the food, which ended up in lot of waiting - for seating, for taking orders, service was a bit rude - due to all this, the service automatically went down. The phone kept on ringing and the person just couldnt answer the incoming traffic and the phone calls. Overall ambience wasnt good. Want to visit again but afraid of the wait time
